CH 3(V⃞E⃞R⃞S⃞I⃞O⃞N⃞ 1)
The door slammed open before I could strangle Break, almost smacking Lacie in the face.
"Hey, Break! We just got back from talking with Leo and Vincent, and they're not happy. He has Jabberwock, and I think he's planning on following us."
Gilbert stomped in, Alice and Oz behind him, but stopped as soon as Oz closed the door.
"What is-" he started, turning to me with the wire at his neck as Lacie let go of it.
"Who are these two?" Gilbert asked, pointing at me as I retracted the wire and looking to the other side at Lacie.
Alice walked up to her, Lacie's boots making her the same height as Alice.
"You look like me," she commented, sniffing Lacie.
Lacie backed up towards me, her bell jingling, and looked at Alice strangely.
Oz turned to Break. "Anyways, you heard Gil, right? Leo is with the Baskervilles now. He's trying to erase the Will of the Abyss."
"Wait, what you just said wasn't a bluff?"I asked Sharon, slamming my hands on the table.
"Sorry, but it's the truth," she replied, looking away. "After you...died, Vincent took Leo and I guess they made some kind of deal. Leo, he has Glen Baskerville's soul. He's who the Baskervilles were looking for this entire time."
"That's why Humpty Dumpty acted like that. It's a chain that was created from the body of Glen Baskerville, so it was attracted to his soul. And you and Leo were at the House of Fianna at the time," Break continued.
"That's Elliot and the girl is Lacie," Sharon told Gilbert as an answer to his question."Apparently, Elliot didn't die when he rejected Humpty Dumpty and his soul went to the Abyss. Break found him at the our gateway with Lacie."
All three of them stared at me with wide eyes.
"Sorry for doing that," I said. "I didn't what Vincent to kill me and I didn't want Oz to bear the burden. It was my fault I never noticed."
Oz walked up to me, his hair covering his eyes. Lacie watched him warily as he stopped. Oz clenched his teeth before punching me.
"Hey, Oz," Gilbert started as Break stopped him, watching the Vessalius boy.
"Just don't ever do that again," Oz muttered, clenching his fist by his side. "Do you know what Leo told me?"
He looked up at me and raised his voice. "That we're not friends. He said he doesn't know the first thing about me and I dont know anything about him. That you were the only reason we met. And now that you were 'dead', that link was gone and we were enemies. I told him that that didn't matter. I punched him for you, but you need to talk to him."
Lacie's eye widened at what Oz said next. "If Sharon-chan hadn't called us over then...I think Jack was trying to do something."
Oz clutched his chest. "So I couldn't finish talking to him."
He grabbed the front of my shirt, pulling me down since I was still taller than him. "So you need to go and talk to him! What the hell are you doing sitting here and chatting with Break?! If that last seal is broken, I know that Glen will force Leo down and he won't try and get back up!"
I opened my mouth to say something, but Alice shouted at Oz as a rumbling noise sounded outside. Oz let go of my shirt, turning towards the window. "Is that-"
"Jabberwock!" Alice finished.
The window shattered as a huge gust of wind and a bunch of rubble hit it. A dragon-like chain looked through the opening with an eye as I lowered my arms from my face, and I could see Leo in its hand.
"I found you!" Leo grinned.
Oz turned to me and said,"Don't die again."
He turned back to Sharon and Break as I nodded.
"Did you find Duka Barma yet?"
"No, but we found a trail," Sharon replied, Equis surrounding them before they dissapeared.
Leo jumped inside the window, frowning as Oz vanished. He looked over at me and Lacie, his hair cut and his eyes visible.
A shudder went down my spine as Lacie's eye turned red. I realized that the shade of red was different from Oz's when we were at Isla Yura's. It looked exactly like Vincent and Break's red eye.
"Is Lacie a Child of Ill Omen?"
(Sorry if this is crappy, and as to why this is so short; I may or may not have ran out of ideas on what to write. Whoops.)
