"Go wear proper clothes."

"Why don't you wear jewellery?"

"Look at the way he is."

"He's such an attention seeker."

Aren't you tired of hearing all of this? Don't you feel like snapping at them, and telling them to shut up? What if I told you to ignore. Would you?

At first it's easier to block out the voices. But as time goes on, it becomes worse. You start to believe it. You deem yourself of being peculiar, and not like everyone else. That's what society does to you. They want you to be like everyone else.

But you're not.

You're different.

You're special, and brought into this world for a reason. What's the point if everyone is the same? My entire life, I've been called a tomboy. Why? Because I was different from the girls in my family. Instead of wanting make up, I would want a pen and a notebook. Instead of playing with dolls, I would watch sports, and play football. Instead of buying fancy clothes, I would wear baggy clothes.

I am different.

Society would put a label on you. But don't let anyone let that stop you from what you want to do. Being different is beautiful. You're beautiful.

Never let people bring you down just because you're not like them. Different is good. Don't forget that.

This particular write up is something I would hold close to my heart. It's not much. But it holds some meaning. I hope you all enjoyed this little piece.
