By the time he returned to the dorm, it was late enough for everyone to be fast asleep. And so, tired out by a long day and an even longer night, the young idol snuck into his room and fell asleep.

He was woken up by Baekhyun shaking him violently, impatience written all over his face.

"Wha-Baekhyun? What are you doing?" Junmyeon asked drowsily.

"What am I doing?" the younger asked. "What are you doing, hyung? Everyone's waiting in the living room!"

He sat up at once. "What? Is something wrong?"

Before Baekhyun could explain, the older was out of bed in a second, bursting out of his room and running to the living room. When he saw the rest of his members on the couch staring at him, he began to fear the worst.

But then he took a step back and realized that nothing was exactly wrong.

He turned around to see Baekhyun looked miffed as well as amused.

"I tried to tell you, hyung," the younger pointed out. "But you seemed to be in a rush."

Junmyeon sighed, running a hand through his hair. "What do you guys want?" he asked.

"I thought you would've found out by now," Baekhyun said, gesturing to the rest of them. "We want to know what happened last night."

"What do you mean?"

"Don't play dumb, hyung!" Jongdae stood up. "We know you went to visit Eunji. So tell us all the details?"

Junmyeon narrowed his brows. "Since when were all of you so interested in my love life?"

"That aside," Minseok said, "tell us!"

With all eight of them looking so expectantly at him like he was some sort of bedtime story, Junmyeon found himself locked in place. He sighed. Seemed there was no getting out of this one easy.

"Nothing much happened last night," he told them. "Just..."

He paused. What exactly did happen last night?

"Did she say anything?" Jongin asked. 

"Uh...yeah, she said she liked me," Junmyeon said.

At once, like something had gone off, all of them stood up and crowded around him, showering him with congratulations and even more questions.

"Really? She really said that?"

"That is so cool, hyung!"

"You can finally be happy!"

Chanyeol squeezed him in a happy hug, Jongin giggled (yes, giggled) and asked him when the party was, Jongdae hinted at a proposal, Minseok laughed and clapped him on the back, Sehun muttered about how he needed to get a girlfriend too, at which Junmyeon shot him a look that said "Please don't."

And in all that confusion, Baekhyun stood outside the circle, a smile on his face. Lightly chuckling to himself, he then re-adjusted his glasses and walked back to his room, pulling out his phone.

"And so you told him you liked him?" Naeun completed.

Eunji nodded, sipping her tea. "And then?" Naeun urged her for more.

Eunji shrugged, but couldn't keep the smile off her face. "Then he hugged me."

Naeun clapped her palms to her cheeks. "Oh wow!" she said. "He must've been waiting for so long!"

"It seemed so," Eunji said. "It was like something strange came over him."

"Strange?" Naeun asked. "Like how?"

Eunji placed her elbows on the table, her brows deeply furrowed. "I-I don't know," she said. "It was like...he was happy, like really happy, for the first time."

"Are you sure about that?" 

Eunji nodded. "I'd never heard him laugh like that before," she said. "I never saw that sort of a smile before on him." She paused. "It was like...a weight was lifted off his shoulders."

"What did that guy go through?" Naeun exclaimed.

"Exactly what I was thinking," Eunji agreed.

Naeun bit on her spoon, pushing it up and down. "Do you think that guy has a problem with keeping secrets?" she asked after a few moments.

Eunji nodded. "He's always been the kind of guy who takes everything on his shoulders, to prevent anyone else from getting involved in his issues." She paused. "Does that come with being a leader?" she asked. "Does Chorong unnie also feel the same way?"

Naeun considered. "I don't think it comes from being a leader, well, not all of it, at least," she said. "Maybe it's just him, you know?"

Eunji hummed. "Seems about right," she said. She let out a breath. "He's seriously going to make me worry about him from now on."

"Get used to it," Naeun said. "Worrying over each other is something the two of you are going to be doing a whole lot of, so enjoy yourselves."

Eunji scoffed at that, swatting Naeun playfully. The two returned to their snacks before something struck Eunji once again. 

"Oh, Naeun-ah," she said, patting her friend on her arm. "Would you have any idea why Hoya-oppa was acting weird?" 

"Huh?" Naeun asked, stalling in her tracks.

"He called me last night after I returned, said he'd called in but I wasn't home yet," Eunji said. "He asked me what happened and when I told him that I told Junmyeon I liked him..." She trailed off.

Naeun leaned closer. "What happened?"

Eunji shook her head. "Nothing, he congratulated me," she said. "But there was something in his voice."

"What was?"

"I...I can't really place it. But it was odd, really odd, really out of character for him."

Naeun looked at her senior for a few moments, her brown eyes not even blinking once. "Unnie," she finally said, "do you think that maybe Hoya-oppa liked you?" 

Eunji's eyes widened. "Huh?"

"Think about it," Naeun urged. "Ever since 'Reply 1997', the two of you have been close. You two even had really good chemistry on that show. And what did we learn from it? Hoya-oppa is a really good actor."

"So...you think...?"

"I'm not sure," Naeun admitted. "Like I said, Oppa is a really good actor, it's hard to tell what he's really thinking at the moment. But I'm pretty sure he had at least some feelings for you."

Eunji frowned. "You really think so?"

Naeun nodded. "I don't know him as well as you do, and the only ones who truly know him are his members. Maybe Woohyun-oppa or Myungsoo-oppa might know more on this."

"But still..." Eunji said. "I still can't believe..."

"Neither did I, Unnie," Naeun pointed out. "However, the kind of chemistry the two of you had on the drama as well as till now is not something that could be made simply."

Eunji sighed, rubbing her eyes. "I seem to have a knack for attracting guys into one-sided loves," she complained.

Naeun nodded. "You do," she agreed. "But look at the bright side, at least you found yourself a good one in Suho-shi."

Eunji felt her lips pull into a wide smile. "I guess I did."

A/N: Little note about this chapter, I'm not much of a Hoya/Eunji shipper, but from their performance of "Reply 1997", if I'd ship anyone with Eunji, it would be Hoya. 

And did anyone else see that drama? It's pretty good, and a whole load of nostalgia for you 90s kids out there! Without giving away spoilers, I did want it to go another route as the route they went with was honestly too predictable.
