Bonus Chapter

He heaved a sigh when the second they arrived, all of his members immediately searched for Eunji.

"Shouldn't I be the one looking for her?" he complained. "I mean, she is my girlfriend."

"Yeah but you don't seem to be doing a good job," Baekhyun informed him as he shielded his eyes from the sunlight comically.

Junmyeon paused. "Not doing a good job?" he asked. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"It just...is," Baekhyun struggled to explain.

"But-but-" Junmyeon protested. "I've been doing my best! I've taken her to restaurants, we've hung out together, watched movies and stuff..."

Baekhyun gave a chuckle. "You're supposed to be older than me, yet your description of dating sounds like a high schooler's."

Junmyeon's eyes grew wide. "Might want to elaborate..." he suggested.

"Well, you guys have been dating for how long, a year?" Baekhyun said. "And in that time, she's been on three dramas and one musical too, all as the female lead. And you know something? She was romantically involved with all the guys she co-starred with in the dramas."

"But that's just for the show, it doesn't mean anything!" Junmyeon cut him off.

"Perhaps..." Baekhyun slyly said slowly. "But can I ask you a question?"

"Is it going to be another stupid one?"

"When was the last time you guys kissed?"

Junmyeon went completely silent at that. Baekhyun turned around to him, narrowing his eyes slightly. "You guys have kissed...right?"

His eyes grew wide when Junmyeon refused to reply, instead turning his head away slightly. "Oh wow! And to think...she's kissed all those other guys too...multiple times..."

"And your point is?" Junmyeon snapped.

Baekhyun ignored him, continuing his teasing. "And you remember the musical she starred in with VIXX's Leo? You remember Leo, right?"

He swatted Baekhyun's arm to make him keep quiet as they neared the exit, where Eunji was probably waiting along with Soojung. The boys had run ahead to intercept their "sisters", as they liked to call them.

When he spotted Eunji's brown hair and wide smile, he hung back a bit with Baekhyun since he was pushing the heaviest trolley. He lowered his voice so that only he and Baekhyun could hear.

"Hey, do you really think I'm not doing enough for Eunji?"

Baekhyun turned to him, seeming surprised. Then he laughed out loud. "I was only joking around, hyung," he assured. "Come on, Eunji likes you, or she wouldn't be here to greet you today."

He gestured with his head towards the two girls who were greeting the other members. "You think she came all the way to Incheon to meet us? No! She came to greet you."

Junmyeon sighed. "Perhaps I am overreacting."

At that point, Eunji pushed past the  others who decided to crowd around Soojung to come and greet the two of them. giving Baekhyun a hug along with a cheerful greeting, she turned to give him a hug too.

"Hey," she said, pausing as she looked at him. "Why do you look so pale? Are you alright?"

He smiled weakly. "Yeah, just...fine."

While he had truly enjoyed watching her dramas while they were at their fansign tour in China, now he just seemed to not be relishing it as much. He found himself involuntarily curling his lip when he saw her pressing her lips to an on-screen actor.

It's just a show, he reminded himself. It's not actually Eunji, it's just her character.

And yet...he just couldn't shake the bad feeling he had. And not to mention Baekhyun's annoying voice constantly playing in his head.

She's kissed all the other men...

Damn you, Baekhyun.

Heaving a deep sigh, he pulled himself from his post, but not before picking up the remote and turning off the television. He just couldn't stand to see that anymore.

Christmas coming closer was a delightful distraction from his thoughts. It was going to be the first Christmas they spent together since they started dating, and his mind had already begun working overtime to create a plan. Since they wouldn't be able to go home for Christmas that year, they'd decided to spend the holiday together.

As he browsed the online stores for gifts for his members, his thoughts began to slowly stray.

He wasn't able to make it for her musical, but he had watched the fancams, which of course, didn't work well for his sense of pride. Probably because Leo and Eunji had a lovely chemistry, and while it might have been entertaining for the fans, and for him too, Baekhyun's suggestions had haunted him for the past week since they returned to Seoul.

While watching her act out with passion, he couldn't help but wonder, what did she think of him?

It was true that due to the sheer size of work both of them had, they hadn't been able to meet up as much as they'd liked, but that was a reality for every idol. Even Baekhyun and Taeyeon found it hard to meetup with Girl's Generation's oncoming comeback. He'd just brushed it off that it was normal and both of them were well aware of everything since they decided to pursue a relationship.

However, now he couldn't help but wonder, did Eunji ever think that any other guy might have been a better partner?

Because, despite how much he hated Baekhyun for this, what he said did ring true in a sense. Despite being together for an entire year. they'd never shared an intimate kiss, even though there were many times when they'd been alone together.

He'd thought it was just normal, but now he wondered whether it was a sign.

He sighed. This was going nowhere.

"Has Junmyeon been acting...weird to you lately?" Eunji asked from behind the rack.

Naeun turned her eyes away from the men's blazers to meet the elder's. "What do you mean, unnie?"

"I mean..." Eunji moved her hands around, trying to find the right words. "He's been acting...weird with me. Like...he doesn't seem to be coming that close anymore. And he doesn't seem like he's watching my dramas anymore!"

Naeun thought about it for a moment. "Yeah, even I have no idea what could be going on in his head."

Eunji sighed. "Thought so," she said, sounding defeated as she continued to browse the racks.

"You're spending Christmas with him, aren't you?" Naeun inquired.

Eunji nodded. "Then perhaps you can ask him what's wrong then," Naeun suggested. "It will be the only other time you guys meet, right?"

Eunji moved her head a bit. "I guess so..."

Christmas Day was a gigantic event at the company. The entire building had been decked out with steamers and red and white balloons, and a giant tree stood at the center of it all, presents strewn around its base.

Junmyeon swelled with pride as he watched over it.

"You know, I set everything up," he quietly told Eunji.

"I helped!" Sehun protested.

He turned around, shushing the young EXO member. "All you did was ferry messages to finish it quicker!"

"That's still help!" Sehun insisted. "Baekhyun just ditched you and left to go on a date with Taeyeon, remember?"

Junmyeon turned his head down, clenching his fist. "Ah yeah, I'll certainly get him for that."

Eunji laughed, patting his arm. "Killing Baekhyun can wait," she told him. "First, let's take a picture by the tree!"

She dragged him over to the tree before pulling out her phone. He bent his head down slightly so that he could also fit in the frame, practically putting his cheek next to hers.

Honestly, it was over too soon for his liking, which may or may not have further solidified the notion that she probably didn't like him anymore.

He braved out the rest of the gathering, laughing and enjoying with his friends, but on the inside, his stomach filled with a sad dread as his mind involuntarily played out all the scenes of Eunji breaking up with him over him not being good enough.

Towards the end of it, she grabbed his arm and pulled him into an empty practice room, closing the door behind her.

"Okay," she said, turning back to him and crossing her arms over her chest. "What's wrong?"

"Huh?" he asked, dumbfounded.

"Don't play dumb with me, Junmyeon," she said. "You've been acting like someone killed your puppy all night!"

"No I haven't!" he indignantly protested.

She fixed him with a look. "Did you actually take a look at how you looked?"

He opened his mouth to protest but then closed it. "Was it that bad?"

She nodded slightly. "I think almost everyone who was near you knew that something was up."

He swallowed nervously. Okay, she knew. This was bad.

She took a deep breath. "You've been acting weird this whole week! Can you at least tell me what's wrong?" Her eyebrow raised as another possibility crossed her mind. "Is it me?" she asked. "Is it something I've done?"

He tried to put his hands up to calm her down but then her mind went into overdrive, throwing all sorts of possibilities out, and knowing her, once she started talking, she couldn't keep them to herself. "Have you lost affection for me?"

"No, no!" he said, shaking his hands. "How could I? Like seriously, who'd be dumb enough to fall out of love with you?"

She opened her mouth to protest but then paused as she registered his words. "Love?" she slowly asked.

He stepped back as his brain imploded. Shit.

"Love?" she repeated, the word sounding foreign to her. She then grinned. "Love?" she said as more of a statement.

He exhaled and rubbed the nape of his neck. "Okay, fine," he said. "I think...I've grown to love you over this past year."

She couldn't hide the smile. "So why the long face today?"

"Because of this!" He gestured. "I just told you I loved you and you don't even seem to be reacting to it! Is there anymore to add?"

She took a breather as she considered his words. "Hold on," she said, stopping him. "You think I don't like you anymore?"

His body puffed out with indignation when she began to actually laugh. "Stop that! It isn't funny you know?"

"What on earth made you think I don't like you anymore?" she asked in between laughs.

"Well...well..." he stuttered. "You...you...kept kissing all those guys...and...we haven't even kissed yet...so..."

He suddenly felt himself being pulled down by the collar on his shirt. Before he knew it, Eunji had pressed her lips to his.

At once, his entire body and mind shut down.

She pulled away for a moment. "I still can't believe you of all people need to be reassured," she told him. "You should know that they were just actors, and I was just playing a character."

He looked down with his cheeks coloring red. "I-uh-I guess-I-" He then sighed. "I fell for Baekhyun's tricks again."

She chuckled. "Well, he's right, I don't like you anymore." She then wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling herself up so she could rest her forehead on his. "I love you too."

He wasted no time in capturing her lips again. She chuckled as she felt him smile into the kiss.

All this for one petty doubt, she thought.

He eventually had her backed up against the wall, one arm placed on the concrete to steady himself. Her hands wandered into his hair and to his shoulders as they eventually had to part for air.

"Merry Christmas, Junmyeon," she softly said.

He smiled. "Merry Christmas, Eunji."
