Makotos pov

"Makoto" my wife kyoko called out to me "are you ready?"

"Coming darling!" I rushed out the door only to slip on a toy car and fall flat on my face.

"Daddy!" My son jin ran up to me worriedly. He silently checked me over before turning to his sister angrily "naoko you shouldn't leave your toys lying around! Look what happened to dad's face!"

"I'm sorry papa" naoko teared up "I didn't mean to-"

"Hey hey it's ok" I wiped her tears away "I'm fine. I don't want you crying over me and I definitely don't want you fighting. You're siblings so you should get along more"

"Ok" the two of them muttered.

"Good kids" I petted their heads.

Jin took after his mother with his violent hair grown out into a ponytail and his calm attitude. He's the most mature five year old I've ever met. Naoko's sweet and sensitive, a lot like me. She takes after me with her brown hair and green eyes. She's only two years younger than jin and despite this little bump in the road he's incredibly protective of her. I don't know what I did to deserve such great kids.

Kyoko placed a hand on my shoulder "we really should get going. The others will be waiting for us"

"Of course" I nodded before turning to the kids "be good for your auntie komaru ok kids"

"Ok daddy!" They chirped as we headed out the door.

*time skip*

We headed into the restaurant together. As soon as we stepped in hina engulfed us in a hug.

"It took you guys long enough" she smiled brightly.

"Sorry. It takes a while to get away from the kids" I said bashfully.

"Trust me I know the feeling. At least I have yuta to babysit" she smiled softly at the thought of her daughter.

"That's n-nice. S-some of us don't h-have that privilege" toko grumbled as she bounced her baby boy token in her arms.

I sat down next to her "hey toki it's your favourite uncle" I tickled his chin. She rolled her eyes fondly. Who would have thought a wife and son would be enough to change toko for the better.

"Can we get off the topic of children" byakuya muttered in annoyance.

"Oh sorry byakuya" I chuckled softly "how's things with you?"

"Business had been booming which wasn't surprising. You may have known about that if you checked the news every once in a while"

"But then what would you have to boast about?" We laughed at Kyoko's remark. The air was light. It was just like old times.

"Hey guys I bought an old friend to see us" taka opened the laptop revealing.

"Alter ego!?"

"Isn't it amazing. Kazuichi managed to bring back their digital code" taka smiled at the thought of his boyfriend.

"Good morning everyone. It's so good to see you all again" alter egos voice brought tears to my eyes. After all this time I can finally keep that promise I made to them, that I made to chihiro.
