Jeremy woke up in a hospital. He sat up instantly and regretted that decision. Pain shot through his head and spine. He groaned.
"Feelth like a part of you ith mithing, right?" A voice asked. Jeremy looked over to see Rich in a hospital bed next to him.
"Hurt-th like a motherfucker, too." He added.
"I'm sorry that your Squip is gone." Jeremy said. Rich shook his head.
"Don't be. I'm finally free of that shiny, happy... Give mind." He said with a smile. He turned to face Jeremy.
"I'm thorry about your thquip, though. You talk in your Thleep, you know. I know what you thought of him, and it mutht be Hell." He softly said. Jeremy nodded.
The door opened.
Michael walked in and when he saw Jeremy awake, he ran to him and engulfed him in a hug.
"I am so sorry, I shouldn't have ever taken that Squip and I don't know how you'll forgive me and I don't know how to make it up I am so sorry!" Michael rambled.
"He's gone. My Sam- I mean- Squip is gone." Jeremy said, his voice breaking. Michael hugged him tighter.
"I'm so sorry," Michael whispered. Jeremy hugged him back and didn't stop the tears from flowing down his face. Michael kissed Jeremy's head and Jeremy smiled.
Even in the darkest of times, Michael could make Jeremy smile.
Squip used to, too.
Michael stayed with Jeremy, cuddling with him. Rich had no problem with it, and couldn't stop apologising. He felt awful. this whole thing was his fault, how could anybody ever forgive him?
Strangely enough, Michael and Jeremy could.
Would Rich miss his Squip? Maybe a little, but only because it helped him get closer to Jake and helped get rid of his lisp.
Of course, now that it was gone, his lisp was back and he didn't know if Jake would still be his friend.
That's when Jake ran into the room.
"Are you okay? What happened? You're not hurt, are you? Oh, geez." Jake continued to bombard him with questions.
(A\N for the sake of convenience, just imagine Rich has his lisp, mkay)
"Yeah, I'm fine." Rich said. Jake sighed and hugged him.
"Whatever you did, don't do it again, okay? I was worried sick!" Jake whispered. Rich hugged him back tightly.
"It won't ever happen again, I promise."
Suddenly, someone walked through the door.
"How's my favourite walnut doing?" the voice asked.
As soon as Jeremy drank the mountain dew red, Squip started fading. He didn't want to leave Jeremy, but he knew he had to. As soon as Jeremy blacked out, Squip vanished.
Well, his appearance did, anyway.
His being, his soul one might say, remained.
He saw the paramedics taking the unconscious students to the hospital. Jeremy included.
Oh, how badly he wanted to go with him. But someone caught his eyes.
It was Michael.
He was crying and laughing all at once. Squip floated over to him. He could guess why Michael was crying, but why was he laughing? Squip liked to believe it was because he was relieved. He stayed next to Michael.
Soon, though, Michael left. And Squip was alone.
He figured he'd fade away. He felt his soul tingling and he thought to himself 'this is it'.
But it wasn't.
Rather, it was the opposite.
He was being brought to life. Some strange power or being was bringing him to life. Why?
He didn't have time to question because soon, he was standing. He was real. He had a literal heart and everything. And he wasn't wearing all blue, which was a bonus to him. Now, his hair was black and his clothes were mainly green.
He stood up, shaking, and walked over to a reflective surface.
He looked the same as usual, but more human. He smiled and thanked whoever have him this gift.
He ran to the hospital.
"Who are you?" Michael asked. The teen at the door smiled.
"I'm Sammy, Jeremy's former Squip." He said. Jeremy didn't know how to react. Should be cry? Laugh?
He stood up from his bed and walked over to Sammy.
"I know this is probably suuuuuper weird and I have no explanation, but it's actually me! And I'm breathing! I'm not used to it and I honestly don't know how to feel about it still." Sammy said with a laugh.
Jeremy hugged him tightly and let out a small laugh. It really was Squip. His Sammy. It was his Sammy.
"Oh. We're doing this now? Okay." Sammy said as he hugged back.
Everything really did work out in the end, didn't it?
