Stupid Elf
We lost the path once. It sucked. We walked aimlessly. "What day is it?!" Shouted Thorin. "I don't know. I don't even know what time of day it is," said Dwalin absolutely confused. "Is there no end to this accursed forest?!" I screamed. It was hard. I couldn't concentrate. Why did I ever come into this place? The moment I stepped near it... I felt sick. Gandalf warned me.
We carried on walking. Suddenly we stopped. Bofur picked up a pouch. "A tobacco pouch. There's dwarves in these woods." "Dwarves from the Blue Mountains no less," said Dori. "That's funny. It looks exactly like mine," said Bofur. "That's because it is yours. We're going around in circles," snapped Bilbo, evidently angry. "We've lost the sun," said Balin.
"The sun... We need to find the sun..." Said Bilbo to himself. He climbed up the thick branches. But we were too busy fighting. They seemed to always fight with Fili and Kili. I could see Thorin wanted to say something. "Quiet! All of you!" I shouted. "We're being watched..." Said Thorin silently.
Bilbo reached the top. A fine, soothing breeze hit his face as he glanced at the bright over top of the forest. "I can see a lake. And the Lonely Mountain! We're almost there! Hello? Can you hear me? I know which way to go... Hello!" But all Bilbo heard and saw were branches moving and the snapping of twigs.
He jumped down only to land in a spiders wed. He was stuck. At that precise moment a spider came and began to spin weds all around him. He was trapped and knocked out I suppose. The spider dragged him to their area of the forest. Bilbo woke up only to see the spider trying to eat him. He took his sword and shoved it up the spider's jackside. It squealed and fell down dead.
He freed himself. He then equipped the ring and became invisible. The spiders could talk so figuring out where the dwarves were was easy. "Eat them now while they're still alive!" Said one. "They'd be dead now we hung 'em up," said another. They reached to feel whether one of the dwarves were alive. Bombur hit him with his foot. "The meets alive and kicking!" Said another spider as a cluster of them came and set themselves on him. Bilbo threw a twig. Thud. They looked at the spot and moved towards it.
Although one spider stayed behind. He took Bombur and put him closer to his mouth(is that what its called?). "Just a little taste..." Said the spider. Bilbo hit its butt with his sword. "Where is it? Where is it?" It said searching. Bilbo took off his ring. "Here," he said and stabbed it. "Agh! It stings!" And with that it fell and curled up dead.
"Sting... That's a good name. Sting," said Bilbo. He began to cut us down. We fell smoothly as the webs were sticky. "Where's Bilbo?" Asked Bofur. "I'm up here!" Shouted Bilbo. A spider came and pushed him down. They rolled somewhere. We couldn't find them. But spiders were advancing towards us. We fought. A spider fell on top of Bombur and tried to bite him. The dwarves came, grabbed the legs and severed it from its disgusting body.
Bilbo however tried to find his ring and that meant killing a white creature to get it. The ring seemed to consume him. Bilbo realizing that, pocketed it. The dwarves were fighting the last of the spiders. One grabbed Kili. Fili tried to help and so did I before a stupid elf hitched a ride on a spider and pointed a loaded arrow at Thorin's face.
"Don't think I won't kill you dwarf. It would be my pleasure," he said. I hated him the minute I saw him. A bunch of elves aimed arrows at us. We stopped fighting. A scream came towards us. Fili and I looked at each other and both shouted, "Kili!"
Kili was thrown roughly on the ground. A spider advanced towards him. An arrow whizzed past and killed it. A pretty elf with amber hair came out of nowhere and began to fight. Another spider was drawing close. "Throw me a dagger! Quick!" He shouted. "You think I'm giving you a weapon dwarf? You're mistaken!" And with that she threw her dagger at the spider.
Meanwhile we were being searched. I was from the race of men so I was practically easy to search. Although I could've been taller than most of them. They were like... Seven hundred and twenty three? I was eighteen. They took my daggers and bow. I glared as the elf took my father's bow. It was the only thing I had left of my parents. And my mothers sword. Elvish made. Before I could even say anything insulting, my head began to throb. I moaned. It hurt. Was I like allergic to this place?
The elf recognized my pain and told their leader. He said something. The elf that searched took me and whisked me away. "Where're you taking me?" I asked. "Prince Legolas has ordered us to leave," said the elf stiffly. "Why?" "Clearly the forest radiates bad energy which consumes your energy making you weak," he said. "Oh." "And also he might have felt sorry for you," said the elf, grinning slightly.
The dwarves were waiting as the leader examined Orcist. He said something in elvish. He then turned to Thorin and asked, "Where'd you get this?" "It was given to me." "Not only a thief but a liar as well", he said and them ordered the elves to take them away. They arrived at the Woodland Realms. I was already sitting in one of the dungeons. I looked up and rubbed my head. I raised my head too fast. I heard Kili say something to the amber haired elf, "Aren't you going to search me? I could have any thing up my trousers." "Or nothing."
On her way down, Prince 'I think I've got swag' asked her something in elvish which I understood, "Tauriel. Why does that dwarf stare at you?" She replied in elvish (basically their whole conversation is in elvish), "He's tall for his kind. Do you not think?" "Tall yes. But no less ugly." Nobody says that to my best friend. "You're just jealous!" I shouted in english. He turned to look at me. I stuck my tongue out. He just left. Sassed.
I sat there and watched the dwarves try to break out. Eventually I got tired and said with all the energy I had left,(basically shouting at Lego drained most of the energy) "This is no orc dungeon. These are the halls of the Woodland Realms. No one leaves here but by the kings consent." Thorin was taken for questioning.
He returned. They shoved him back in the cell. "Did he offer you a deal?" Asked Balin. "Yes. I told him he could go ish kahfê aidur rugnu! Him and all his kin!" "Well a deal was our only hope," said Balin. "Not our only hope," said Thorin looking out the bars. I knew what he meant. Bilbo...
The amber haired elf came again. Kili was playing with a rune stone. She took an interest to him. As she said, he was tall for his kind. Maybe that's what made him so attractive... Any all dwarf ladies always insulted him for not growing his beard. I found it unique.
"What's that?" Asked Tauriel. "Its a talisman. If anyone but a dwarf reads the runes upon it... They will be cursed," said Kili, holding it up to her. She was about to leave before he hastily said,"Whether or not you read them it doesn't matter. Its just a token really. My mother gave it to me so I may remember my promise." "What's that?" She asked. "That I'll come back to her. She thinks I'm reckless," explained Kili. "And are you?" "Nah."
He threw it up and tried to catch it. It fell out of the cell but Tauriel caught it. She raised it up to so as to see it properly. A few elves laughed in the background. I looked up and knew at once what it was.
"Sounds like quite a party you're having up there." She said the festivals name in elvish but then says,"Its the feast of star light. We woodland elves love the light of the stars best." Kili looked up thoughtful. "I always thought it was a cold light. Far and distant." "It is memory!" Said Tauriel astounded by that remark.
"I've walked there once. It was beautiful," she said dreaming of that day. "I saw a fire moon once," said Kili. Tauriel sat down and listened. "Red and gold it was. Huge! We were escorting a couple of merchants when it rose up. Lit the whole path..." But what he said next was drowned as I saw the blond elf stand there looking infuriated.
"What's wrong Blondie? Jealous?" He whipped his head around to face me. I lifted my head and addressed him. "Aren't you the sick one?" "Yeah, but I'm feeling better." "What do you mean jealous?" "That face. I recognize it anywhere. You like her. Its obvious. Anyway, you're too chicken to tell her," I say, tauntingly. He glares at me but I give him a smirk. He just sighs.
"I've liked her from when I was young," he admitted. "So... It was love at first sight?" "Maybe." He kept silent for a while. "I don't think your father would approve of her," I said after a moment. "What do you mean?" Legolas asked. "I don't think he'll like a Sylvan elf liking his son, a High elf," I explained. He looked longingly at the pair of them. "Its okay to love. I never got around liking anyone though," I added. He smiled. "Thanks. I'm feeling better now. What's your name?" "(Y/n)." "Well (y/n) thank you."
"I'll bet the sun is coming up," said Bofur sadly. I woke up. "We're never going to reach the mountain, are we?" Asked Ori. "Not in here you're not," came a voice. "Bilbo!" Shouted Fili. "Bilbo!" I cried happily. "Ssh! There are guards nearby!" He freed us all and led us down.
"I don't believe it. We're the cellars!" Said Kili. "Where are you leading us?" I asked. "Just trust me and hop into the barrels." The dwarves discussed this matter. Bilbo looked helplessly at Thorin. "Get in the barrels." They did so. I stood there, hesitant. "What's wrong?" Asked Bilbo. "Do you remember when I stepped near the forest, I fainted." "Yes. Why?" I fainted. Thorin and Bilbo helped me up. I regained consciousness. "I think you guys should leave me here..." "But... You're part of the company!" Said Thorin. I looked at him with pleading eyes. He nodded and got into the barrel.
They were gone down as Bilbo pulled a lever. Although... He was stuck up here. He moved and eventually fell through. The elves came. I looked up. Tauriel saw me and ordered one of the elves to take me back up. He did so. Instead of locking me back into the cell he took me to King Thranduil. He looked at me and asked in elvish,"So, anything you can tell me?" "I'm apparently allergic to this place," I said. He orders the elf to treat me. After he gives me a dose of elvish medicine, I start to see clearly. No more groggy vision.
I thank Thranduil. He said nothing. He looked to see that Legolas and Tauriel returning with an orc. "Talk," said Thranduil. He said nothing. Legolas pulled the knife closer to the orcs neck. "Speak," said Legolas. I looked at the orc. I then asked weakly,"Why does the forest effect me so much?" The orc replied,"It's the magic cast upon the forest. It effects you because the Master is growing stronger." I shuddered. I know the master. I've heard stories.
"What?" Asked Thranduil. The orc then explained there's going to be war and death and their time has come to rule. All utter nonsense. Thranduil beheaded the orc. "Why did you do that. We promised to set him free," said Legolas. Thranduil then said that he did and there was nothing more the orc could tell him...Blah, blah, blah.
I sat there. Legolas helps me up. "Where are you from?" "Gondor." Thranduil ordered Legolas to close the gate. Legolas shouted the command. "But what of Tauriel?" Asked Elros. "What of her?" "She has left with her bow and daggers," he replied. I looked outside. Legolas seemed surprised. I looked at him remembering the night before. I then said,"I'm going after her." "But... You're sick." "I won't be if I get out of here," I said with dignity. He sighed. He took me to their armoury where I geared up. "You look good," said Legolas approvingly. "Almost like an elf." I blushed.
Although the dwarves could only think of me they had a sort of hope that they will see me again. I hoped that too. Maybe we'll claim the mountain together.
~Several days later~
I sat outside the borders of Dale. I could still here the noise though. I sighed contended by the peace. I hear foot steps. I look up and see Legolas standing above me. "Let's duel," he said. It was bloody random but I accepted. We dueled. It was fun. I giggled through out the rest because Legolas gave up and began tickling me. "St- stop!" I said still giggling. He stops and looks at me with an odd expression. "Are you okay?" Without warning he hugs me. I'm stunned but hugs him back. "Tauriel's gone from my life. I was so intended to win her heart that I felt I had a purpose in life but... It seems life had different plans for me," I hear him say. That thought never crossed my mind.
I do nothing but hug him. Tauriel's heart was won by Kili. They even married. I was happy for them but sad for Legolas. He let go of me. I stare in to his eyes. He then asked,"Be with me? Heal me? Share my sorrows and joy?" I'm taken aback. That escalated quickly. He had this look of sorrow and sadness I couldn't stand. "Yes." I give him a hug. He returns it. And to sign it off he kisses me.
