Hhhhaaaaaa more explaining is due now I suppose. Arrgghhhh. Fuck me, umm. . . Ok I guess I start from the beginning. As soon as I realized I was reborn and that I was a baby, I noticed that all the names people were saying seemed familiar, like I heard them before. As in, my past life before. Now look, I'm not the brightest bulb in the pack, I'll admit that. So it did take me a while to figure out just exactly where I heard this stuff from.

Thankfully being a baby, I had literally nothing but time on my hands to ponder things. Again, being a baby sucks. I just lie around all day with nothing to do. I can't even do anything to entertain myself during this time because this stupid body is INCAPABLE OF EVEN CONTROLLING IT'S OWN GODDAMN BLADDER. But anyway, I did finally remember where I heard those names from.

This world was the same as an Otome game I played in my previous life. It took a bit to remember specifically which Otome game it was since I've played so many, but eventually I did remember. For those of you who don't know what an Otome game is, it's basically just a dating sims with a crappy plot underlying it. If I recalled it correctly, the game is called "Enraptured Hearts". It has six main capture targets/love interests to choose from, along with one hidden character, which I guess makes seven in total.

It's storyline is that a princess of a small kingdom discovers she has the rare ability to heal people with magic. In order to learn more about her powers, she is sent to another country's kingdom to study under various magic users in it's palace and learn how to control it. This is basically where the plot begins and she meets all the capture targets.

The main story itself is pretty generic. It's the "girl has rare ability so villains try to capture her and she always needs to get rescued" type bullshit. I don't really care about that since it doesn't directly concern me, but I do have problems with another matter. The love interests, otherwise known as the capture targets. They're the ones I'm wondering about. Specifically two of them.

One capture target was the first prince of that country, Prince "Rafferty Bellfyre". He's the stereotypical blond hair blue eyed Prince from fairy tales that girls swoon over. Being the bastard son of the King, he faced a lot of criticism growing up which caused him to strive to prove himself to others. With his beautiful bright hair and clear shining eyes, Rafferty had a large amount of admirers. The main rival of his route is Lady Faith Windrex, his arranged fiancé.

The second is the third Prince, Rafferty's cousin, "Fairen Bellfyre". Fairen is the Mr. Asshole I referred too previously. Because his father is a jackass extraordinaire, Fairen developed the same crappy personality as him and looked down on everyone. He doesn't have a fiancé due to being a huge player, though he does have multiple candidates. Unlike his cousin, Fairen had raven black hair and piercing red eyes that drove women wild. He was handsome and he knew it. Yet another reason he's an asshole- no woman ever told him off since he was hot (GAG. LADIES GROW A SPINE)

Leaving my disgust aside, the reason I'm interested in them is because of my character, Kalliope. Kalliope is related to both of them, which means I'm related to both of them. The third and first Prince, Fairen and Rafferty, are Kalliope's cousins, which makes them my cousins. Your probably wondering why exactly I'm so hung up on the fact that those two are my cousins, but believe me, it's important. It's important because regardless of me being their cousin, I'll still get punished from collateral damage.

You see, if the heroine chooses to go to either of their routes, I'll have to be careful. In the game, Lady Faith bullied the heroine for trying to get too close to the princes and as a result she either:

(A) Gets her and her posse punished by having them publicly humiliated which causes them to become shut ins. (Rafferty's route)

Or (B) Be forced to become her servants in atonement for their cruelty towards her.
(Fairen's route)

If either of this happens the entire group is punished, regardless of status.
As for my character, I'm not really important in the game's plot, so I don't think I have anything to worry about as long as I deal with Rafferty and Fairen's route. Yes I am royalty but I was just the fourth prince's daughter. I wasn't exactly high in the ranks. From what I remember my character was barely even mentioned in the game aside from being part of Lady Faith's posse and a marriage candidate for the Noble's route. Essentially I'm just a background character used to take up space. Kalliope Bellfyre's existence really didn't matter that much.

That's why it's important that Rafferty and Fairen are my cousins. It's the only advantage to my meaningless existence. In the game both of them didn't even hesitate to sentence their cousin to a life of hardships, so I need to make sure that doesn't happen. Even if I do stay away from becoming one of Lady Faith's underlings, there's no guarantee she won't just say "Fuck it, if I'm going down everyone's going down with me" and I get dragged into the accusation of being a bully as well just for being present.

Lady Faith is sadistic that way. In the routes when she realized she was about to be punished for her actions towards the heroine, she went out of her way to frame ALL the women in court of being guilty of bullying her as well for the pure sake of being a fuckwad. Thus resulted in the fall of not only her posse, but also all the court women, regardless of being guilty or not.

If in the future this does happen then my life will inevitably suck. That's why I have to exploit the fact that I'm related to the princes as much as I can. In the game the contact between Kalliope and the princes were little to none- I'll have to change that. My potential future is at stake here! The only way to avoid such a fate is by proving to both the princes that I was definitely NOT a threat to their love lives. To do that I'll have to show them that I literally give zero shits to who they date, and maybe even get them to see me as an actual family member. This is the only way I can see myself dodging the punishment if it ever comes down to it.

Thankfully since I'm still a baby, I have plenty of time to fulfill my plans. It probably won't be easy and there's no way to know for sure if it'll work, but it's better than nothing. Alright Kalliope, just leave it to me! I'll make sure our future is a decent one. Now only if I can get this stupid body to stand, we'll be in business!
