This part is largely inspired by Beautiful Eulogy's song called Signs and Symbols.

Most of the time we'll probably be praying for something and maybe a breeze starts blowing all of a sudden and we conclude that it was God answering. Or perhaps we are just spending time with God and maybr you get an itch behind your ear and you think it's God trying to tell you to listen to Him with that ear. Sometimes we even say, "I don't feel God.". Okay, other people use the word "feel" for lack of a better word but others actually mean to feel God's presence physically. Maybe a butterfly type of feeling in their stomach.

This is not right. I was reading a book by Joseph Prince called Unmerited Favour and he had this to say about going on feelings when it comes to God:

"When it comes to the presence of Jesus, don't go by feelings. Feelings can be deceptive. Feelings change. Go by His promise that He is Immanuel, the Almighty God with me. Feelings aren't based on truth, God's word is truth."

You see, feelings change. And we must stop looking for physical signs that God is speaking to us. Just because the wind is blowing whilst you pray doesn't necessarily mean anything.

As Joseph Prince stated, just rely on the fact that God tells us He's with us. Have your faith in that. Nevermind these feelings. They will most likely just end up misleading us.
