What is my identity? Where do I find it? How do I find it? I'm sure we've all asked ourselves these questions before and from deep in my heart, I find that all three questions are amswered with one word, God.

My identity is that I am a child of God. I find this identity in God. I find it by accepting that Jesus Christ is indeed the Son of God and believing in His finished work at the cross and that He is risen. Very simple right?

Before I received salvation, I had to find my identity in what was currently trending and what everybody was doing. But the thing about trends is that they are subject to change. This means my identity was changing from one thing to another. Now, I don't know about you but this is really flawed.

According to what God has told me, identity is found in how God sees me. And how does He see me? He sees me as His child, His daughter. Why? Because of Jesus' finished work at the cross. He sees me as perfect because of Jesus. He sees me as beautiful because of Jesus. God will never change this way of seeing me because He is not subject to change.
Malachi 3:6

I am a child of God! This is the irrevocable truth. It is and always will be true. It is continuous. So, I do not have to try fit in because I already fit in the family of God. I do not have to prove myself to anybody because His grace does not require me to do so. I don't have to worry about being an outcast, there is no such thing in the Kingdom of God!

Before I had to constantly change to fit into the season, and people still end up rejecting you despite your efforts but as the daughter of the King in every season I am still His. This identity gives me everything and more! It releases me from bondage! It liberates me! It gives me salvation! It gives me peace! Glory be to God!!

Because of this identity, God goes all out to make me happy. He chases me in order to bless me. His perfection follows me. He supplies everything I need. With all this in mind, what more can I ask for? He does all this without me asking Him and He still gives me room to ask Him for more. Wow, God is magnificently marvellous.

All of the things I mentioned above are just the tip of the iceberg. There is so much more in store. Because He only has good plans for me,
