6 • A - School Festival: Preparation
Before Kyoro could actually leave, Suzune grabbed his hoodie and sat him down.
"Stop acting emotional. I can tell you're faking." Suzune said with a glare. "I have no clue what you're talking about." Kyoro said looking away. "You're ecstatic about the increase in point—" "YOU'RE DAMN RIGHT I AM! FINALLY! I CAN BUY GOOD FOOD, AND NOT WORRY ABOUT GOING BANKRUPT!" Kyoro shouted stepping on the table, and causing a scene. Everyone stared at him in shock and confusion and he only waved them off.
"You're so childish. We didn't do our best, and don't ever give me that little attitude you had earlier." Suzune scolded. "Yeah, yeah, it was just a facade." Kyoro said with a smirk. "For who?" Hirata asked. "Ryūen. I had to show some other emotion than smug. If he figured I wasn't content with the outcome, he'd realize I'm not as calculating as I really am. Why so? Because I 'wanted' to do better. He thinks I was aiming higher." Kyoro said crossing his arms.
"Don't act smart." Suzune said rolling her eyes. "Pfft. I don't have to act, sweetie." Kyoro said making her blush a bit. Hirata laughed a bit, and Karuizawa only looked in confusion and a hint of disgust.
"A-Ahem. I have a proposal." Hirata started. Suzune nodded and Kyoro looked in anticipation. "First, to bring our class together, I'd like to rope in Kushida-san as an ally. I think she'll complement our group well and add qualities that the four of us lack. She could potentially unite a lot of the boys, starting with Ike-kun and Yama—"
"Unnecessary." Kyoro and Suzune said sternly. "I won't deny the fact that she has certain skills, but we can do anything she can on our own. That's why I selected you and Karuizawa. With your combined talents, we can solve any problem that faces us... Unless you plan to be uncooperative, like a certain someone." Suzune said side eyeing Kyoro. "Who the hell are you looking at?" Kyoro asked in annoyance. "It's certainly true that Keikēko-kun might not follow our lead." Karuizawa agreed. "Hah?" Kyoro asked with a glare. "You two are delusional. I'm the perfect pawn. I have no presence." Kyoro exclaimed.
"Those who claim they have no presence usually cast long shadows." Suzune retorted. "Oh? So are you someone with no presence?" Kyoro asked smugly. "Me? There's no way I could have no presence. How dare you? Do you take me for a fool?" Suzune asked grabbing Kyoro's collar. "I'm not sure you want that answer." Kyoro whispered. "Huh?" Suzune asked menacingly.
The comedy skit the two were having made Hirata laugh and Karuizawa roll her eyes.
~•~
Class was back in session. Class D was currently have a two-hour homeroom period.
"Starting today, classes begin again. However, from September to the beginning of October, we will be holding more physical education classes to prepare for the school festival. We'll distribute new weekly schedules, so please review them carefully. In addition to the new schedules, we'll also distribute materials related to the festival. Students seated at the front, please pass handouts to those behind you, and so on." Chabashira-sensei said as the students cheered about the sports festival.
'Damnit...' Kyoro grumbled along with the un-athletic students.
"The details on the printed handouts can be found on the school homepage as well. Please refer to them if necessary." Chabashira-sensei added. "Sensei, is this festival another of the special exams?" Hirata asked. "You're free to interpret this however you wish. In any case, this event will massively impact each and every class." Chabashira-sensei said vaguely.
Kyoro got his handout and immediately set it down with a sigh. He groaned and went to lie own his arms but, "Kyoro-kun, here!" Suzune said pointing to something in the handout. Kyoro looked at what she was referring to and saw the testing method for the festival. Kyoro felt a gaze on him and noticed it was Chabashira-sensei, but didn't acknowledge it.
"Some people have noticed this already, but for this year's festival, we're going to divide all the students across all grade levels into two groups and have them compete against each other. You in Class D are assigned to the Red Team. Class A is also assigned to the Red Team, so they will compete alongside you." Chabashira-sensei explained. Class A and D, versus Class B and C.
"Whoa! Seriously?! We're really doing that?" Ike shouted. Suzune appeared calm on the outside, but she was panicking internally. Her older brother was a Class A Third Year, meaning they might have to cooperate with each other.
"First, let's review the sports festival's potential outcomes. I don't want have to explain them repeatedly, so please listen carefully." Chabashira-sensei started.
"Um, Sensei, how many points does the winning team get? That doesn't appear to be written anywhere." Hirata commented. "None. Their reward will not be having any points deducted." Chabashira-sensei said bluntly.
'I JUST GOT THESE THINGS! DAMNIIII—' Kyoro shouted internally. "Please keep in mind that points awarded and subtracted, not just by team, but on a class-by-class basis. So, even if the Red Team wins, you'll still be hit by the 100-point penalty if Class D holds the lowest combined overall score." Chabashira-sensei added.
"S-Sensei, Sensei! What are the perks you get for first or second place or whatever? What does it mean that we can receive points for written tests?" Ike shouted. "It's exactly what you think it is, Ike," Chabashira-sensei said with an uncharacteristic chuckle. "In the sports festival, you can earn test points as a prize, which you can then apply to a written exam." Chabashira-sensei explained. The most athletic students beamed in excitement, loving the chance to get class points, personal points, and test points.
"Hey, Sensei. What kind of penalty would we get?" Kyoro asked. "For you first-year students, the penalty would be a point deduction on your next written exam. The ten students with the lowest overall scores will each receive a deduction of ten points." Chabashira answered with a smirk. Kyoro squinted his eyes at her she stared back. "Details of the events are noted in your handouts. There will be no changes whatsoever." Chabashira-sensei exclaimed.
"There would normally be, like, three or four events for a single person! Besides, is it even possible to do all these in one day?" Someone asked. "No events require specific skills, such as cheerleading, dancing, or coordinated group gymnastics. The sports festival will be a thorough test of your general physical ability and stamina." Chabashira-sensei replied. "Another important thing to note is the participation table. Fill it out with the order you'll participate in, and I will submit it to the school on your behalf. I don't imagine any junior high has adopted a system like this, so do be careful not to make any mistakes." Chabashira-sensei added.
"Wait. So, we can decide the order we'll participate? Exactly how much freedom do we have?" Hirata asked. "Your class must come to a consensus on everything to do with the sports festival, such as which students will participate in which events. No changes will be allowed once the deadline passes, no matter the reason. The submission window opens one week prior to the festival and ends at 5:00 pm on the day before it begins. If by some chance you miss the submission window, you'll be assigned randomly. So, be careful." Chabashira-Sensei answered. "Excuse me, but I have a question. Is that all right, Chabashira-sensei?" Suzune asked.
"Feel free." She replied. "I realize that no further changes will be accepted once the submission window closes. However, in the event of someone's absence, what do we do? In the case of an individual competition, I assume that would be treated as an absence, but for group competitions? Especially in games like the cavalry battle and the three-legged race, we might not be able to compete at all if one important person is missing." Suzune asked. "Should you fall short the minimum required number of people for competitions for all precipitants, you will be deemed unable to continue and disqualified. For recommended-participant events, however, you are permitted to arrange a substitute, for a price. To establish a substitute, you must offer points as compensation." Chabashira-sensei explained.
"While we're on the subject... if an athlete's health suffers, or they're severely injured, will it be possible for that person to continue participating if they wish? Or will they have to stop and see a doctor?" Suzune asked. "We leave that for the students to decide for themselves. Knowing your own limits will be an indispensable skill in the working world. For instance, you can't simply take a day off because you have a fever on the date of an extremely important conference. However, if someone's health gets truly poor, they they'll have to drop out." She elaborated. "I understand. Well, how many points are needed to assign a substitute?" Suzune asked.
"A substitute requires 100,000 personal points per competition. That's expensive or cheap, depending on your resources." Chabashira-sensei said with a small shrug. "I see. Thank you very much." Suzune replied. "If there are no more questions, we'll wrap this up," She continued but no one actually spoke up. "Next period's location will move to Gymnasium 1, where you'll meet with students from other classes and grade levels. That is all." She said before checking the time. "You have twenty minutes of homeroom remaining. You're free to use that time however you wish." Chabashira-sensei finished.
The class erupted into chaos, and the three idiots gathered around Suzune. Ike sat on Kyoro's desk earning a nasty, malicious glare from him.
"Let's figure this out, Horikita." Sudō said earnestly. "Yeah, yeah, let's think of a way to win!" Ike added, before being pushed of Kyoro's desk. "Why do only guys like these come to me?" Suzune asked herself. "Sad fact of reality." Kyoro mumbled with a chuckle, feeling Suzune's glare. "Fine. I'll hear you out for now." She stated. "Yes! Yes!" Ike said raising his hand, Suzune pointing her pen at him. "I'd like to have fun and win." Ike declared. "That's not a valid opinion." Suzune shot him down. "Class D can win this." Sudō said confidently. "I'm not really expecting you to dazzle with your logic, but I'll listen to what you have to say." Suzune responded. "I'm not sure about the 'all participant' stuff, but you know I'll enter the recommended-participant competitions. If I do that, we'll win." Sudō exclaimed. Suzune looked between him and Kyoro, but back to Sudō.
"There is some merit to that suggestion. Within our class, you stand out as someone with superior athletic skill. It certainly wouldn't be a bad idea for you to participate in all the recommended-participant competitions." Suzune said making Kyoro smile. "We want to have a chance, too! Come on. If we placed top three, we can get some points." Ike whined. "So, you'd advance your personal agendas, even if that lessened Class D's likelihood of winning?" Suzune asked. "Well, that's a good point, but... it's just, like, we want a chance to win something!" Ike reasoned.
"When it comes to the recommended-participant competitions, you want people who are good at sports. You're not, Kanji." Sudō stated. "Hey, you don't know that for sure! I mean, miracles happen all the time, right?" Ike asked.
"I suppose bringing the entire class into this discussion will complicate matters even further." Suzune muttered. "Sudō, I sympathize with your desire to participate in all the events, however, that doesn't mean I can support throwing caution to the wind by entering you in every competition." Suzune continued. "Whadda ya' mean?" Sudō asked. "Stamina isn't an unlimited resource. If you participate in one event after another, you will naturally become exhausted." Suzune responded. "But it's better to leave it to me than put forward someone unathletic, right? Even if I get tired out, I can still move better than those guys." Sudō declared. Sudō looked over at all of the guys before his eyes landed on Kyoro. Sudō scoffed and smirked in pride.
"We're not coming to any decisions right now. Let's talk more in our next homeroom period." Suzune said bringing the short discussion to an end.
•
Now in the Gymnasium, the entire building was filled with hundreds of people, all Class D and A. Suzune was looking around for her older brother Manabu, but didn't actually go look for him. As everyone took a seat on the floor in their gym clothes, an individual spoke up.
"I'm Fujimaki, from the third-year Class A. It's been decided that I will assume command of Red Team." 'Not Manabu? Nice.' Kyoro thought with a smile. "I'd like to give the first-year students one piece of advice. The sports festival is extremely important. Your experiences here will most certainly be applicable to real life. In fact, many of your future exams may look like games at first glance. However, each and every one of them is a crucial battle in which you stake your survival at this school. You may not feel motivated right now, but we're going to try and win this thing. I want you to hold on to that feeling. The only competition which all classes from all grade levels will participate in together is the final event— the 1200 meter relay race. Aside from that, all the other events are divided up by grade level. So, please, feel free to gather and discuss your strategies, starting now." Fujimaki announced.
'Bor~ing.' Kyoro thought leaning on his hands. He yawned before lying down and on his side. Katsuragi immediately assembled Class A's first-years into droves, while Class D only appeared to flounder. They were in the presence of 'elites', so who could blame them.
"Well, the circumstances may be rather bizarre, but I'm looking forward to working with you. I hope we can join forces without any problems." Katsuragi said approaching Hirata. "I feel the same way, Katsuragi-kun. I look forward to working with you." Hirata replied with a smile. Kyoro just rested as the events unfolded. Class C's inability, yet purposeful uncooperation with Class B, Class A and Class D's unity, the basics. Ryūen left along with his class, leaving Ichinose to talk to her class. Kyoro only looked up to look at his 'comrades' and noticed a petite girl with short silver hair and downcast eyes, holding a small cane.
"That's Sakayanagi Arisu. She's disabled. Please be sensitive about that." Katsuragi said catching his gaze. "Of course." Kyoro said with a nod, before going back to sleeping. The three idiots kept oogling and talking about her making Kyoro groan. Kyoro sat up and glared at them before seeing Sakayanagi glance at him, and not them.
"Unfortunately, I won't be very useful in this competition. I'm afraid I'll be consistently absent. Please accept my humblest apologies." Sakayanagi apologized. "You have nothing to apologize for. No one's going to give you a hard time over that." Hirata replied walking up beside Kyoro. "The school sure is harsh. They should've come up with some accommodation for you." Yamauchi exclaimed. "Yeah, that's right. You don't need to worry!" Ike added. "Your kindness overwhelms me." Sakayanagi replied. "You damn simps..." Kyoro spat, but just waved at Sakayanagi. She waved back with a smile, and he smiled back before lying down again.
"I was thinking that it'd be best if we just keep out of each other's way. You don't mind, do you?" Katsuragi asked. "So, you won't share any details about the competitions you're participating in?" Hirata asked. "Right. Letting that information slip might lead to unnecessary conflict down the road. Besides, constantly comparing ourselves to each other will only increase the divide between us." Katsuragi answered. "Yes, I suppose you're right. It's pretty hard to trust other people in this school, Katsuragi-kun. Also, even though we're allies in a way, I suppose there's no changing the fact we're still competing with one another." Hirata replied, looking towards Class D for objections, but found none.
"At any rate, we'll need to meet sometime soon to discuss the group competitions. Is that all right with you?" Hirata asked. "Yes, that should be fine. I'll consult with everyone else." Katsuragi said before walking away.
"What do you think the trick is here, Kyoro-kun? What are they playing at?" Suzune asked Kyoro. She didn't get a response and looked down, seeing him already back to sleep. She crouched down and shook him awake making him groan. "What's up?" He asked keeping his eyes closed. "Do you think there is a trick to the sports festival?" Suzune asked calmly. "So far, I only think they're trying to find out how athletic we are." Kyoro said with a shrug. "Fundamentaly, you're correct. But what's another factor other than athleticism, that might influence results?" Suzune pressed.
"Luck?" Kyoro answered. "Luck, huh?" Suzune pondered. "Our opponents on this test are chosen at random. We don't know who'll take on who. Luck is a huge factor." Kyoro said before turning back over. "I'm not talking about random chance, though." Suzune said with a frown. "I'm talking about something definite. I mean, a method that doesn't just rely on luck— one that still relies on athletic skill. On the island and cruise ship, there were secret clues and pathways we could have detected. This feels the same. This time, surely..." Suzune trailed off.
"What makes this test different from the previous?" Kyoro asked sitting up. "Different? I think it's the same kind of special exam." Suzune responded, Kyoro looking at her in disappointment. "Don't look at me like that. Elaborate." Suzune said poking his cheek. "The basic... premise of this exam is different. The school never once called this festival a special exam. Only the first-years have been calling it that. The teachers, including our own, all referred to it as the sports festival. Even that third-year, Fujimaki, called it that, too. The words special exam weren't even in the handout." Kyoro informed.
"Well, why does that even matter? The structure that dictates how the sports festival plays out, and the large potential increase or decrease in points, make it function pretty much exactly the same as a special exam." Suzune countered. "Fair point, but putting aside the fact that you can buy and sell test points, the regular written exams are meant to test our abilities. I think the sports festival is doing the same with our physical abilities. It's not about cheap tricks and tactics this time— this is to genuinely challenge us, and find our true worth." Kyoro explained, stunning Suzune a bit.
"We gotta make sure we're prepared. And not, being sneaky and crafty." Kyoro said with smirk. "So you're saying that we need to fight clean and fight hard to win?" Suzune asked. "Yeah, pretty much." Kyoro answered with a nod. "What advantage do you think Class D has right now?" Kyoro asked crossing his arms. "Well, a dispute between Class B and C—" "Wrong." Kyoro said plucking Suzune's forehead, making her glare. "Do you really think that their dispute is a positive thing?" Kyoro asked as she calmed down. "Well, they might reconcile and work together. It's not as though Ichinose-san likes Ryūen-kun, but for the sake of victory, she might put aside her own feelings. Can't we acknowledge that it's a good thing, for now?" Suzune asked.
"You're not thinking but enough..." Kyoro said with a sigh. "Don't be rude. Enlighten me." Suzune said with another glare. "Ryūen. Always looking to win. No matter how he behaves, or how polite he is, he's always coming up with strategies. So, why did he suddenly refuse to cooperate with Class B? You think he never considered it?" Kyoro asked.
"Wait, are you saying Class B and C are working together behind the scenes?" Suzune asked. "Our relationship with Class B is different compared to Ryūen's. There's a good chance he already has a plan in place. If he didn't, he'd have no reason to leave. Even it was a bluff, he'd gain more by talking to Class B, right?" Kyoro asked. "I don't think that's right. It seems unlikely." Suzune commented. "So are earthquakes and fires, but we still have emergency measures." Kyoro said shaking his head. "That's—"
"I think Ryūen has, at the very least, one or more tactics in mind." Kyoro cut her off. "But if that's true, it's crazy. We only just learned about the festival. To have a whole plan so soon..." Suzune stopped. "That's why we have to think like him, and understand his crazy. There's so many possibilities that he can pull from his ass, that we don't know about yet. Which is why we need to prepare." Kyoro said with a sigh.
~•~
Class D had begun making preparations for the incoming sports festival, which was only a month away. There was a weekly, two-hour homeroom and Hirata was taking the initiative. Chabashira-sensei moved to the back of the class, and beside Kyoro as everyone discussed everything.
Kyoro was sitting out, because he didn't really bother to nominate himself, and people already saw him as unathletic. Save for Ryūen, Ibuki, and Manabu, who he had all had physical altercations with.
"Before we start practicing, we need to decide the order we'll participate in, and who'll enter the recommended-participant competitions." Hirata started at the blackboard. "Okay, but when you say decide, how exactly are we going to decide?" Someone asked. "Good question. For example, in the events for all participants, we..." Hirata trailed off before righting two categories on the board. Raising Hands, and Abilities.
"This is a rough outline, but I think that everything boils down to these two approaches. The 'Raising Hands' system lets people nominate themselves to participate in competitions. The 'Ability' system identifies everyone's individual talents, and seeks to assign them to maximize efficiency." Hirata explained. "Both approaches have their pros and cons, of course. The strength of the raising hands system is naturally that everyone gets to voice their wishes. The downside of that, if people's choices contradict each other, well, not everyone is going to get what they want. The strength of the ability system is that we can expect a higher chance of victory using the most athletic students, but it reduces the other students' chances of winning something. That's the gist of what I've come up with so far, but if you happen to have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them." Hirata continued. He gained no rejections to the two categories, and Kyoro smiled.
"We should obviously decide based on ability, shouldn't we? I mean, the only one who knows a person best is himself, right?" Sudō asked. "If I win, then it's more likely our class wins. That puts us way ahead." Sudō added. "Well, it makes me kinda mad, but I suppose you're right." A girl muttered. The boys subtlety agreed with Sudō, causing Kyoro to silently sigh in relief. "If everyone's okay with that strategy, then I suppose the recommended participant in every category will be—"
"Wait," Suzune said cutting Hirata off. "If we have to choose between these two approaches, then I agree that we should go with the ability system. However, that single tactic isn't guaranteed to carry us to victory." Suzune explained. "Sure, that's true." Hirata agreed. "I agree that the most athletic students should take part in events for recommended participants. But, even in events for all participants, we should group the people who have the best chance of winning. That way, we maximize everyone's potential. Put simply, the strongest, fastest students should be grouped together." Suzune continued.
"Hold on a minute. Won't that leave slower people high and dry? Privileges only go down to third place. I don't want to throw away my shot." Shinohara asked, speaking up for those who weren't considered athletic. "Your personal feelings are irrelevant. It's for the sake of the class." Suzune replied. "I know it's for the sake of the class, but I don't want to lose out on private points." Shinohara said, shamefully?
"If the class wins, the reward will be ample— easy to divide among us. Is that not enough for you?" Suzune asked. "I don't what to miss out on individual rewards, like earning test points!" Shinohara shouted. "I understand your desire. However, your logic confuses me. If you just studied ahead of time, before an exam, you wouldn't need to rely on those privileges. Besides, you probably wouldn't win anything with your lackluster ability. It's not like you'll place top three." Suzune said harshly. "Not everyone is as smart as you, Horikita-san. Don't just lump all of us together." Shinohara snapped.
"Can't they just compromise?" Kyoro muttered, Chabashira-sensei rolling her eyes at his comment. Some students supported Suzune, some supported Shinohara, but eventually Sudō spoke up.
"Enough already, Shinohara. If we lose because of you, will you take responsibility? Huh?" Sudō asked, beaming with a sense of leadership. "That's... ugh." Shinohara stammered. "Honestly, what a pain." Suzune said before glaring back at Kyoro, everyone following her gaze.
"It's like you don't even care. Instead of trying to sleep back there, how about you try and help come up with ways to win?" Suzune asked Kyoro. "Hey, I can plan a war, but I know absolutely nothing about sports. Just a pawn, remember." Kyoro said with a smirk. Chabashira-sensei nudged Kyoro and he looked back with an exasperated face. She nodded towards the front of the class and he groaned. "Fine, mom." Kyoro muttered making her glare, the littlest bit of pink adorning her cheeks.
"What do you want?" Kyoro asked Suzune. "Assistance when requested." Suzune said with a scowl.
"Hey, excuse me? I object to this, too. You're okay with sentencing the unathletic students to lose, like Shinohara said? You think we can all come together in a situation like this?" Karuizawa asked, glaring at Suzune. "I've said as much. Do you understand my logic?" Suzune asked. "No. I don't get it at all. Hey, what do you think, Kushida-san?" Karuizawa asked.
"It's tough. I've been thinking about how both sides feel. Like Horikita-san, I want us to succeed as a class. But, just like Shinohara-san said, everyone should have a chance to win. If there were just some kind of middle-ground solution, that would be ideal. A strategy we could all get behind." Kikyō said, and soon after many people seemed to assent.
Kyoro looked back at Chabashira-sensei with exhaustion and she just gestured for him to turn around. Kyoro face palmed, and let everyone argue, but it was mainly Karuizawa and Suzune... of course. Kyoro zoned out and held his head before hearing someone stop beside him.
"Kyoro-kun, can't you tell Karuizawa-san to shut up?" Suzune asked with a huff. "U-Uh... not really. She'll hurt me just as much as you would if I told you to..." Kyoro said squinting his eyes. "You've been talking to her lately, though. Haven't you? Isn't that why she's getting carried away?" Suzune asked. "No, she's always been a smartass." Kyoro said with a shrug. "That's certainly true." Suzune muttered.
"Now then," Hirata started. "We have Horikita's proposal, which focuses on ability, and Karuizawa-san's, which priorities the individual. How about we decide which we prefer by show of hands? If anyone finds choosing a side difficult, they can abstain." Hirata announced.
"All in favor of Horikita-san's plan?" Hirata asked. Most of the athletic students all raised their hands, and along with those who didn't want to apply as well. "Sixteen votes, then. Thank you. You can put your hands down." Hirata responded. "Wait a minute, Kyoro-kun. Don't tell me you agree with Karuizawa-san's plan?" Suzune asked. "U-Uh! Um, not really... Personally, I do, actually," Kyoro answered making Karuizawa smile. "But I do~ want those class points..." Kyoro said shrugging nervously. Suzune and Karuizawa stared at him in disappointment before turning away.
"You could've just voted for my plan then." Suzune said with growl. "I'm abstaining." Kyoro said with a smile.
"All right. Next, we have Karuizawa-san's plan. Anyone in favor of this plan, to win when we need to and to have fun when we want to, please raise your hand." Hirata asked. Along with Karuizawa's group, and students who wanted to obtain points for themselves raised their hands.
"The the results of the majority vote are... sixteen votes for Horikita-san's plan, and thirteen for Karuizawa-san's. It's safe to say that everyone else abstained from voting?" Hirata asked, earning nods from those who did. It was official. Class D's strategy was to go all out and choose based off of ability.
Which means bad news for the lazy mind of Kyoro...
"Then it's decided. Now, Hirata-kun, I leave the rest to you." Suzune said stepping beside Kyoro. "So, regarding the number of participants for recommended-participant events..." Hirata continued. "Oh, and one last thing," Suzune started, Hirata, Sudō, Karuizawa, the whole class focusing on her.
"I nominate Kyoro Keikēko for all recommended-participant competitions." Suzune stated. "What?!" Kyoro and Sudō shouted, the statement shocking the whole class. "Why?! I'm not athletic!" Kyoro said with a glare. "Yeah, this scrawny guy?! What's he gonna do?" Sudō asked making Kyoro shift his glare over to him.
"I'm surprised you all haven't noticed. Kyoro-kun, take off your clothes." Suzune ordered. "Are you insane, you pervert?! No!" Kyoro said covering himself. "Sensei, we need to decide who's the best option for the recommended-participant events. Do we have permission to discover this information under any means necessary?" Suzune asked grabbing Kyoro's wrists. "Do whatever you want." Chabashira-sensei replied waving her off.
•
Kyoro was now shirtless, beside a shirtless Sudō at the front of the class.
"Now that they've stripped, how are we going to decide?" Hirata asked Suzune. "Hmm... muscle mass is only a small factor. Height is another one, but based on the competitions, it isn't that relevant. I think agility and speed is what we need to focus on." Suzune declared. "A foot race?" Hirata suggested.
"Please, no! This is embarrassing enough as it is!" Kyoro shouted throwing his undershirt and hoodie back on. The girls finally looking away from him, and the guys clicking their tongues.
•
"I hope you're ready to lose, Keikēko!" Sudō said standing beside Kyoro in a sprinter's stance, hands down and a foot back.
"I hope I do..." Kyoro muttered in the same stance. The two were at one end of front gate of the school, and everyone else was at the other end. 'I'd fail if it weren't for Chabashira-sensei. Unfortunate.' Kyoro thought with glare. 'His legs are longer, but I don't think he's the type to focus on his legs. I am... because I thought running away would be better.' Kyoro thought with a wry smile.
The two contestants looked ahead and saw Chabashira-sensei with her hand raised, making them both prepare to take off. She suddenly through her hand down, and the two students took off.
Due to Sudō's height and long legs, he started with a noticeable lead ahead of Kyoro. He smirked without looking back and kept his sprint in mind, running at full speed. Kyoro was only a few feet behind him, but it looked like he was taking much small leaps than him. Sudō and Kyoro made it passed the entrance to the school and Sudō began to tire himself out, slowing down a bit. Kyoro saw this and picked up speed, passing Sudō, who gasped in shock and over exerted himself to try and catch up, but was already out of stamina, causing him to jog.
Kyoro slowed to a stop as he passed Chabashira-sensei and Sudō was panting like a dog as he walked passed her seconds later.
"Keikēko-kun is the winner." Hirata announced, small cheers from the girls, still signs of dissatisfaction from the boys. "Yay~." Kyoro said sarcastically, Hirata patting his back. 'It's not that he's not fast, he just doesn't have a runner's mentality. He can't run long distance with his basketball mindset, being so used to only playing in a small space.' Kyoro observed. 'Naturally, he wanted a big lead at the being to prove himself, but used up to much stamina. Eventually I'd pass him, no matter what since I didn't use that much of my own.' Kyoro thought with a finger to his chin.
"I lost..." Sudō muttered, the other two idiots 'comforting him. "Don't worry, we'll dwindle the actual results down tomorrow." Hirata announced. Sudō and Kyoro perked up, but Suzune and Chabashira-sensei glared at Kyoro. He rolled his eyes and crossed his arms before heading back to class.
With the result of the small foot race, Kyoro grew an irritated expression, and Suzune, a smug one. He was now going to participate in every recommended-participant competition.

The next day, true to his word, Hirata began to try and figure out which between Kyoro and Sudō were stronger. Hirata had brought a grip-strength test, and handed it to Sudō first to set the standard, since technically Kyoro was the challenger.
"Check it out, Keikēko-kun! This is what a real man looks like!" Sudō said before gripping the machine with his dominant hand. After a short while, his shoulders began to tremble and the machine beeped. In the end, the display showed 82.4 kilograms. Everyone around them went crazy.
"What the heck, dude? You're stupidly strong!" A boy commented. "Heh. It's just cause I train all the time. Only natural. Hey, your turn, Keikēko-kun." Sudō said tossing Kyoro the device. Kyoro caught it and looked down nervously before glancing over at Suzune and Chabashira-sensei, both who were waiting in anticipation.
"Welp. Here I go." Kyoro said before rolling his neck. He gripped the device and watched as the numbers quickly shot up past the 20s, 30s, 40s, and even the 50s, soon the 60s were in reach. 'Hmm. How about I hurt his pride a little.' Kyoro thought before taking a deep breath, the number going down a bit, before going up quickly once more. Kyoro bit his lip as the number on the device began to settle at 81.6, finally landing on 81.8.
"Holy shit! Keikēko is just as strong!" A bit shouted in shock, everyone else awing as well. Sudō was in utter shock, speechless that someone of Kyoro's size could be this strong. Kyoro passed the device to the nearest male and walked over to Suzune and Chabashira-sensei. Suzune was stunned as well, but Chabashira-sensei was slightly smirking.
'Strength on par with Sudō. Almost unmatchable intelligence. Speed unlike any other. If it weren't for your training growing up, I'd think you weren't human.' Chabashira-sensei thought switching to a blank expression. Suzune walked over to the girls once the boys had finished, and they all measured their grip strength as well.
After that was wrapped up, Hirata began to assign people to the events.
"Okay, so we can simply go in order, based on grip strength, for the tug-of-war and the four-way-tug-of-war. That'll be Sudō-kun, Keikēko-kun, Miyake-kun, and Me." Hirata listed. "What exactly is a four-way-tug-of-war, anyway?" Sudō asked. "I haven't heard of it either, so I looked into it. It's pretty much exactly what it's called. Four people are chosen from each of the four classes, for a total of sixteen people. Those sixteen people pull simultaneously." Hirata explained as best he could. Hirata wrote down the names of the four boys, and Kyoro walked back over.
"Hey, Hirata, can I nominate myself for the scavenger hunt— b-but, if anyone else wants to do it, I'll back out." Kyoro said with a smile. "That's fine with me. Any objections?" Hirata asked the rest. Most mentioned how tedious and luck based the scavenger hunt was, and didn't object. "I'll mark that down, Keikēko." Hirata said with a nod, getting one back.
Kyoro fist pumped as four others were determined by Rock Paper Scissors. Eventually, the participants for the scavenger hunt were Kyoro, Yukimura, Sotomura, Mori-san, Maezono-san. Kyoro smiled at something he actually wanted to so, not unnoticed by Suzune.
"Really? You'll do the scavenger hunt before the more important competitions?" Suzune asked. "I can have a little fun during this exam. Besides, with my eyesight, it's not like I'll do bad." Kyoro said with a shrug.

Class D's free period was now a time for them to independently prepare, or more so practice. Everyone was now in their gym clothes and on their way to the athletic grounds as a class.
"Woah, check it out." Ike said staring at the school's windows in nervousness. Kyoro looked over and saw Class B and A, but surprisingly not C, we're watching Class D through the windows. "They started right away." Suzune said from Kyoro's other side.
Kyoro smirked and flicked off the other classes, seeing several students scoff, but caught Ichinose laughing with Kanzaki. Kyoro faced forward with a satisfied smile but Suzune spoke up.
"Are you worried about Ryūen-kun?" Suzune asked. "Not really. I mean, he's no stronger than me or Sudō. He might be, but he definitely wasn't holding back when we fought..." Kyoro said remembering his dislocated arm. "What you mentioned earlier, about Ryūen-kun already having a strategy? I suppose this means that his plans are already in place. Reconnaissance isn't necessary for him." Suzune said, bewildered. "Anyone would want information on the other classes. They should want to know who is physically gifted, who'll participate in which contests, and so on. But him..." She trailed off.
"It's just important that we not be satisfied with knowing he has a secret plan." Kyoro started. "What do you mean?" Suzune asked. "Normally, when someone has a secret plan in place, they do whatever it takes to ensure that their enemies don't figure it out. However, Ryūen's not even trying to hide that he's up to something. He's making it obvious by not bothering to do any reconnaissance." Kyoro stated. "It's almost like he's showing off. You know, I can't help but wonder where your powers of observation came from..." Suzune said staring into Kyoro's eyes.
"What can I say. I'm..." Kyoro started before making his eyes glow. "Galaxy brain." Kyoro said with a smirk. Suzune rolled her eyes just before Sudō called her.
"Suzune. You have a minute?" Sudō asked walking over. "I've told you numerous times. Please don't call me by my first name." Suzune spat. "Aw, what do you mean? Does it really bother you that much?" Sudō asked nervously. "Yes. I don't want someone I'm not close to using my first name." Suzune answered. "If you continue to call me Suzune after this warning, I'll have to take more direct action to make you stop." Suzune threatened, making Sudō and Kyoro shiver.
"In that case, if I get the best results out of anyone in Class D during the festival, will you let me call you by your first name?" Sudō asked. "Why sh—" "Actually, count me in, too." Kyoro said with a smirk. "Excuse me?" Suzune asked. "You already call me by first name, so it's only right I do the same, but Sudō needs competition." Kyoro said giving Sudō a playful glare. "Yeah, he's right. So far, you're the only one who has chance to beat me." Sudō said returning the glare.
"I can't understand, you two. Fine. If one of you two produce the best results, out of our entire grade, I will allow you to use my first name." Suzune said with a small blush.
"May the best man win." Kyoro said extending his hand. "Oh, I will." Sudō said shaking his hand with a smirk. "We'll see." Kyoro said as Suzune face palmed.

The 'aptitude tests' had begun, and Hirata didn't encourage forced participation. Only Kōenji, and the Professor sat out of the tests.
Sakura came in last place, looking as if she was about to collapse, both hands on her knees.
"Great job, Sakura. You really gave it your all." Kyoro said handing her a water bottle. "K-Keikēko-kun. Ah..." She panted taking the water bottle. The students practicing had just run the 100-meter relay race, and Kyoro came in first, with Sudō in second.
"Wow, I didn't expect this, Kyoro-kun! You're taking first place in almost every event. That's amazing!" Kikyō said patting his back. "W-Well..." Kyoro said at a lost for words. 'How do I respond... I do look scrawny, but I didn't really ever have a reason for getting fit.' Kyoro thought with a nervous smile.
"She's right. You are amazing, Keikēko-kun." Sakura said with a smile. "S-Stop, you're making me blush." Kyoro said waving them off. "Yeah, you could easily be the sports festival leader." Kikyō said with a smirk. "Leader? Definitely not. I refuse." Kyoro said throwing his arms out in denial. "Actually, I agree. After all, you've really helped the class out, and don't you see this as a time to shine?" Hirata asked. "I guess... it's not my first thought, I just want some personal points." Kyoro said with a shrug. "Is it alright with you?" Hirata asked.
Kyoro looked over at Suzune for help, but she just shrugged and crossed her arms.
"You are probably the best choice as leader. Strong, agile, intelligent enough, and your placing average is the best in the class. All we need is for your social and leadership skills to shine. Can you do that?" Suzune asked. "I'm your pawn. I'll do my best." Kyoro said with a genuine smile, making Suzune quickly look away, hiding her blush. Sudō growled under his breath and looked down in sadness.

The next day, Kyoro indeed went full-on coach with the class.
"You shouldn't strain yourself too much at the beginning, while it's useful to get a nice lead in the beginning, if you run out of energy to quickly, you can easily be blindsided." Kyoro said facing off against Ike and Yamauchi. They wore confident expressions as they pulled away from Kyoro, but he used his strength to tug the rope away from them, sending them to the ground.
"See? You didn't really have enough power to combat mine." Kyoro said dropping the rope. "I don't get it. Is there some kind of trick, Keikēko?" Yamauchi asked. "Well, it's not just about strength. You also need to position your feet and hips well for maximum efficiency." Kyoro said with a finger on his chin.
"Hey, Keikēko-kun. Can you come look at this for us? We're not doing well with our carriage for the cavalry battle." A girl asked. "Hm, sure. I'll be right over. Practice amongst yourselves!" Kyoro told the two before following after the girl. Suzune was watching from the sides, and Sudō was sulking beside her. He was grumbling about Kyoro stealing his spotlight, and Suzune was getting irritated. She went over to practice the three-legged race, and soon enough, due to her personality caused her to argue with her partner.
As Kyoro finished up with helping the girls with the Cavalry Battle formation, Hirata tapped his shoulder, and pointed to the argument between Suzune and Onodera, a girl in the swim club. Kyoro went from blank faced to irritated in under a second.
"Already?" He asked. "Already. Sorry about this. I know you'd rather not be in the position." Hirata said patting Kyoro's back. "You're right. This facade is hard enough as it is." Kyoro said rubbing his chin. Hirata and Kyoro walked over, and Hirata was first to break the ice.
"How about we give it a try, Keikēko-kun? It'd be nice to show them how it's done." Hirata suggested. "Sure." Kyoro said feigning a smile. Hirata tied the two's right and left leg together, and Kyoro took a deep breath. Kyoro waited for Hirata to make his move, and Hirata slowly placed his left foot forward. Kyoro and Hirata then both steeped their left and right foot forward respectively, slowly walking while conjoined at the hip. "This is really uncomfortable..." Kyoro mumbled as the two began to pick up their pace. "It is, isn't it? As you run, try matching your breathing to our movements." Hirata suggested. Kyoro did as recommended, and noticed it actually helped.
'This jog feels like a walk...' Kyoro thought as the two began jogging around the track. Kyoro noticed that the event was surprisingly simple compared to how the girls made it seem. Their run became smoother as they rounded the last curve of the track and back in front of the class. They stopped and Hirata untied the cord as Kyoro faked a small pant. The girls released high-pitched screams as Hirata stood back up and the two walked over.
"So fast! Just like we'd expect from you, Hirata-kun!" A girl shouted, making Hirata wave the comment off. "It's really, really easy with Keikēko-kun as my partner. Let's all practice and do our best during the festival, okay?" Hirata asked gaining cheers.
'Damn Ikemen...' Kyoro thought with a sigh.

Two weeks away from the festival, the class was back out on the field. After Suzune's countless— okay, they definitely weren't countless, but after her attempts at picking the fastest participant, she still couldn't cooperate.
Kyoro was letting everyone do their thing, he noticed two things: Sudō working his hardest for Suzune's approval, and Suzune sitting out after giving up on finding a suitable partner. He smirked at Sudō and shook his head before walking over to Suzune.
"Sup." He said taking a seat beside her. "What?" She asked with an attitude. "You should try and compromise a little more." Kyoro said with a smile. "Many people have told me that," She started rubbing her forehead. "I won't compromise, because I'm trying to get the best time. Isn't that a good thing?" Suzune asked. "Hmm... So you won't yield?" Kyoro asked. "That's right. I don't intend to accommodate someone else's slowness." Suzune said with a nod.
"Alright then. Stick your foot out." Kyoro ordered. "What are you getting at?" Suzune asked with a sigh. "You want the fastest? You asked for it. You know damn well I am. So partner with me for the three-legged race." Kyoro said with a smirk. "...Why should I?" Suzune asked reluctantly. "You wanna a win of not?" Kyoro asked smugly. "Fine. I'll tie us together." Suzune said as Kyoro stuck out his foot. She tied their feet together, and stood up alongside him.
"Think you can keep up?" Kyoro asked with the same smug aura. "Knowing you, you'll only drag me down." Suzune spat, but didn't sound very confident due to the blushing mess she was at how close they were.
"Well then, let's go!" Kyoro said playfully. The two started walking around the track, with Kyoro mirroring Suzune to make it easier to start. Eventually Kyoro smirked more and began to pick up the pace. "H-Hey!" She shouted trying to match Kyoro's pace. Even with her plea to slow down, Kyoro kept going fast, and Suzune couldn't keep up at all. Her stamina and strength were not match for Kyoro's. "Thought you said keeping up with your partner isn't difficult?" Kyoro asked, before kicking it up a notch.
"That's... I know!" Suzune said now running her hardest to keep up with him, but her efforts were fruitless. "Tch!" She clicked her tongue making Kyoro slow down, catching her as she stumbled forward. She glared up at him, but he only laughed.
"This wasn't about fast or slow, ya' know. Your practices went wrong because you didn't look at your partner." Kyoro said as she breathed heavily. He let her regain her balance, and untied the cord from their legs. "The important thing is to work with your partner. How about letting them take the lead?" Kyoro asked with a smile. "I..." Suzune trailed off. "Just think about it, okay?" Kyoro asked patting her back lightly, and walking away.
Leaving her to think about the lesson he gave, Kyoro moved on to the next problem at hand. 'Time to hash out old beef...' Kyoro thought with a hand on his chin. 'Time to scheme.' Kyoro thought with a smirk, hoping things went his way for his next plan.
~•~
"Hang out with me." Kyoro said to Suzune. "And if I say I don't want to?" She asked. "Then you're lying." Kyoro said with a smirk. "Okay, fine. What do you want?" She asked. "You'll understand in a second." Kyoro said before calling out to his second target.
"Hey, Kikyō! Have a minute?" Kyoro asked walking over. "Hmm? What is it, Kyoro?" Kikyō asked after parting from the girls she were chatting with. She glanced at Suzune, who stood uncomfortably behind Kyoro. "You have any plans tomorrow?" Kyoro asked. "I don't really have any right now. I was just thinking of cleaning my room." Kikyō answered. "Nice. Wanna hang out in the morning?" Kyoro asked with a smile.
"Okay." Kikyō said with a matching smile. "You know, it's not like you to invite me out, Kyoro." Kikyō pointed out with a smirk. "Yeah, yeah. Anyway, that makes three. Horikita's coming too." Kyoro said stepping out of the way, making Suzune glare at him. She went to retort, but Kyoro placed a finger over her lips. "Okay. I don't mind, but... why in the morning?" Kikyō asked. "Reconnaissance. And you're the perfect girl for it. Well, since you know so much about the other classes." Kyoro said with a smirk. "Yeah, I suppose I might be the right person for the job. Alright. What time were you thinking? The earlier the better, right?" Kikyō asked.
"10 o' clock, okay?" Kyoro asked. "Completely okay. We'll meet in the dorm lobby tomorrow morning, then?" Kikyō asked. "Perfect! See ya then!" Kyoro said with a wave. Kikyō nodded and waved back at her friends before walking with them to the dorms.
"Alright, no complaints from you." Kyoro said taking his finger off of Suzune's lips. "I'll get to the point before you hurt me, but let's walk and talk, alright?" Kyoro asked walking off with a smirk. Suzune followed with irritation and walked beside Kyoro.
"Remember what happened to your team on the cruise ship?" Kyoro asked. "Of course. Everyone discovered our VIP's identity. A humiliating defeat." Suzune said with a frown, rolling her eyes. "That's right. It shouldn't have happened. There is most definitely a reason why it did happen, though." Kyoro said putting a hand on his chin. "Yes, but I don't know why. No matter how hard I try, I just can't find the answer. I assume Ryūen-kun was involved somehow." Suzune said, technically admitting she reached a dead end.
"Well, I have no proof, but I have a theory." Kyoro exclaimed with closed eyes and a smug grin, his finger up to add 'visible intelligence'. Suzune loooked at him in shock and questioned him. "You're saying you've figured out Ryūen-kun's strategy?" She asked. "Yup. My galaxy brain has figured out the last possibility. Ryūen is full of bullshit. We almost know for a fact that know one who knew about Kikyō being the imposter said something. But there's one person we forgot..." Kyoro said crossing his arms. Suzune looked at him in confusion before pondering who it could be.
"Need help?" Kyoro asked smugly. "Sh-Shut up... yes." She answered. "Kikyō is a traitor." Kyoro said with a shrug, smiling nonchalantly. "That's impossible, right? She'd have nothing to gain from that at all." Suzune said in disbelief. "That's not true. Private points make these kids looney." Kyoro said with a chuckle. "Don't act like you're not a kid, too." Suzune said poking his side, making him jolt. "Anyway, the point stands that we're not sure if she's a traitor. So our job is to learn the truth this weekend." Kyoro said as the two entered the dorm lobby.
"So, you want Kushida and me to come with you to... uncover the truth...?" Suzune asked still in disbelief that she'd betray the class. "Yup. We won't ever win shit if there's a traitor in our midst." Kyoro said punching his his palm. The two made it to the elevators and Kyoro pressed the button. The two quietly went up to the fourth floor, and got off the elevator.
Suzune went to go to her room, but Kyoro grabbed her wrist and pulled her back to his door.
"Where you going?" Kyoro asked. "My room." She answered. "You said we could hang out. You bailing on me?" Kyoro asked with a fake pout. "...Open the door." Suzune said with a sigh. "Aww, I knew you couldn't resist! Let's go!" Kyoro said opening his door with the keycard. The two walked in and Kyoro immediately ran to his closet as Suzune closed the door.
"Help me pick out clothes." He said with a smile. "...you're kidding." She said with squinted eyes. "Nope. I wear almost the same clothes everyday. A pair of black sweatpants and and this hoodie." Kyoro said taking off his blazer. "When we went to the pool, I noticed you looked nice, and assumed you had good fashion sense." Kyoro complimented. "Th-Thanks. I'll... see what I can do." Suzune said with a sigh. She walked over to the closet and opened it up to see a surprisingly wide variety of clothes.
Kyoro took a seat on the floor and up against his bed as Suzune scoped out the contents of his closet. Kyoro hummed as she picked out a white wool shirt with beige strips horizontally placed on the middle of the shirt.
"This?" She asked. "Eh, I wore that the day I went out with Sakura and Kikyō." Kyoro waved it off. Suzune's eyes twitched at the information and went back to searching for clothes. Kyoro pulled out his phone and began scrolling through social media as Suzune hummed in thought.
"A blazer?" Suzune asked holding up a black blazer. "How am I trying to impress? Ryūen?" Kyoro asked raising an eyebrow. "It doesn't hurt to look nice. You could try for once." Suzune said with a smirk. "Pfft. Try? I don't need to try. I'm as sexy as they come." Kyoro said flicking back his hair with a scoff. Suzune rolled her eyes before finding a different colored hoodie to her shock.
"You have a hoodie that's not pink?" She asked taking out a red hoodie with a white logo on the back. "Yeah... wait, you thought I only had pink hoodies?" Kyoro asked. "Of course. It's the only one you wear." Suzune said walking over to his bed and setting down the hoodie. She walked back and pulled out a pair of black ripped jeans and set them down as well. Kyoro squinted his eyes at the clothes and shrugged as Suzune set down a pair of red high tops with white soles.
"Sheesh. You're gonna make me look like an e-boy..." Kyoro said with a sigh. "You already look like one. Purple hair, remember." Suzune said crouching down to him. "Don't remind me. And why ripped jeans?" Kyoro asked. "It matches the style of the logo'd clothes." Suzune said with a shrug. "You sure you don't just wanna see my legs a bit?" Kyoro asked with a smirk.
"Of course not." She said pinching his cheek, making him frown. "You're probably lying, but I'll let it slide." Kyoro said with a shrug as she let his cheek go.
"I've given you an outfit. Can I go?" Suzune asked standing up. "If you want. Was nice while it lasted, though." Kyoro said with a smile. Suzune looked away before shaking her head with a blush. "I'll be back." She said before walking to the door. Kyoro rose and eyebrow, and moved all the clothes she layer out to his desk chair and soon enough she came back with a book in hand.
"You sure you don't wanna leave?" Kyoro asked with a smile. "There's nothing I can do in my room I can't do here." Suzune said taking a seat on his bed. "Nice. I'm making popcorn." Kyoro said walking to his microwave. He grabbed a bag of popcorn off the top and took of the wrapper before placing it in the microwave. He pressed the popcorn button and shrugged as he walked back to the bed. "Scoot." Kyoro said with a smirk. Suzune rolled her eyes and pressed her back against the headboard before scooting closer to the wall. Kyoro hopped on the bed and sat beside as she groaned from the movement.
"I'm having second thoughts." Suzune said switching so her back was to the other wall, and throwing her legs over his thighs. "Yeah, right." Kyoro said before scrolling through his phone again. Suzune went back to reading her book, and Kyoro scrolled through social media with an amused smirk.
Soon, the beep of the microwave made the two look up. Kyoro groaned and looked at Suzune.
"What?" She asked. "Can you get that?" He asked. "Of course not. I didn't make it." She said going back to her book. "Come on. I don't feel like moving and I'm comfortable." Kyoro complained. "Is this how you treat a guest?" Suzune asked. "...Fair point." Kyoro said with a shrug. He went to lift Suzune's leg, but she soon blushed and threw it down while pushing her skirt down.
She stared at him in shock and Kyoro remained calm before trying to lift her leg again, earning a kick to the chin.
"Ow! What the hell?!" Kyoro shouted rubbing his jaw. "N-Nothing! I'll get the popcorn..." Suzune said hopping over him and retrieving the popcorn. She handed it back to him and returned to her previous position. Suzune blushed as Kyoro opened the popcorn and ate one. She glanced at his face and watched as he seemed like oblivious to what could have happened, and sighed.
"Pink?" He asked with a smirk. Suzune blushed harder and closed her book with a glare.
•
Kyoro was eating his popcorn in silence with a knot on his forehead, luckily under his bangs. Suzune was fuming at his side and continued to glare at him as she held her book, unable to read in frustration.
"...want some?" Kyoro asked holding the bag out to her. She snatched the bag and began eating some making Kyoro smile nervously. Kyoro sighed in relief as Suzune glanced at him. "Can I get it back?" Kyoro asked. "No." She said making him sigh again.
"I deserve that." He said placing his head on his palm.
