4 • Summer Exam Arc

Kyoro was nervously sitting next to Chabashira-sensei in a theater. Suddenly she spoke up making Kyoro turn to her.

"A few days ago, a certain man contacted the school." Chabashira-sensei stated. "Is it my aunt? If it's about if I have a girlfriend yet, please tell him no..." Kyoro said with a face palm. "No, kid. They said, 'Expel Keikēko Kyoro.'" Chabashira-sensei informed. Kyoro's eyes widen and he began to think. 'Who would want me expelled and why?' He asked himself. "I don't know who that person was, but you can't expel me without reason... right?" Kyoro asked.

"Naturally. So long as you're a student here, the rules protect you. Of course, if you cause any trouble, that's another matter altogether." Chabashira-sensei replied. Kyoro began to think again before frowning. "Sorry to inform you, but unlike the arrogant Icarus, I don't pick fights with the sun." Kyoro said placing his head in his palm. "Your intentions aren't a factor. If I decide you're a problem, that's what you are." Chabashira-sensei said without looking at him. "Are you... threatening me?" Kyoro asked with an eyebrow raised, his eyes beginning to glow. "I'm offering a trade. If you will keep attempting to reach Class A, I'll cover for you, unilaterally. A good deal, don't you think?" Chabashira-sensei asked. Kyoro just sighed and closed his eyes. "Normally that would be out of the question— But since I promised Horikita, it doesn't matter anyway. I guess we have a deal..." Kyoro said leaning back in his chair. "You call yourself a teacher?" Kyoro asked with an annoyed chuckle. "Glad you've made your decision. You're a lot more cooperative than I thought you'd be." She replied as the play ended and the lights went out.

"Yeah, yeah. This has been entertaining, I'm starting to act like my normal self more and more everyday... kinda conflicting since that's what caused... never mind." Kyoro said with a tear leaking down his cheek. "I know about what happened. You can talk about it if you'd like." Chabashira-sensei said side-eying him.

"Then you know that it's what caused my parents' deaths." Kyoro said trying to walking away. Chabashira-sensei grabbed his hand and looked at him softly. "It'll be okay." She said but Kyoro just wiped his tear away and looked down. "I'll make it okay..." He responded and walked up a flight of stairs and looked at the night sky and the shining sea. That's right, Kyoro was currently on a cruise with the other first years. 'If only I could've controlled it sooner... I've been cursed since that day, but... I'm going to make these eyes useful for my redemption. I won't lose anyone like I lost them...' Kyoro thought looking at the moon.

~•~

Kyoro was sitting on the railing of the boat the next day. He was wearing a light blue shirt that had the kanji for t-shirt, a pair of black shorts, and light blue sneakers. He was a couple meters away from Kikyō, Kei, Ike, Yamauchi, and Sudō.

'This place would cost thousands if I bought a ticket as an individual...' Kyoro thought kicking his feet.

A while had passed and Kyoro was standing behind the three idiots in a menacing stance, his hands in his pockets and his back to them.

"I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna tell Kushida-chan how I feel!" Ike exclaimed. "Are... are you serious?" Yamauchi asked. Ike stood up with a determined face. "To do nothing and live a like of regret..." he said taking of his shades. "Would be pretty lame, huh?" He finished. Kyoro began laughing silently hearing his words. "Ike..." Sudō said covering his mouth. "You go do that, big guy." Kyoro said stifling a laugh. "Okay! Here I go!" Ike said and walked up to Kikyō.

"What is it, Ike-kun?" Kikyō asked. "Kushida-chan... C... C... C-Could I call you by your given name?!" Ike said bowing his head. He lifted his head with a blush. "C-Can I? Can I call you Kikyō-chan?" He asked again. "Sure! Can I call you Kanji-kun, then?" Kikyō asked with a smile. Ike froze up as his jaw dropped. "Kanji-kun?" Kikyō asked. Suddenly he fell to his knees and screamed, "Kikyō-chan!"

"That bastard. He pulled it off!" Yamauchi said with a fist pump. "That has nothing to do with feelings..." "Shut it, pretty boy!" Sudō and Yamauchi. "Who the hell are you calling, pretty boy?!" Kyoro said stomping his foot down. Sudō grabbed Kyoro's collar and stared at him with a blush. "Keikēko! What's Horikita's given name?" "Excuse me?" Kyoro said with a eyebrow raised. "Tell me Horikita's given name right now!" Sudō said shaking him. "Chill out! It's Suzune!" Kyoro said pushing his hands off of him. "Suzune... it's cute. I like it." Sudō mumbled. "Okay! I'm gonna call her by her name, too!" Sudō exclaimed. "S-Suzune... Suzune, may I speak with you? Suzune, let's walk home together" Sudō said trying to sound smooth. "Airi-chan. Airi-chan. Airi-chan. Airi-cha—" Yamauchi chanted lowly.

"The hell is wrong with you people?" Kyoro asked taking a step.

~•~

Kyoro was lying in his suite room with a bored expression.

'Who could possibly want me expelled? Not many know about the incident and the court case labeled me innocent. I guess it doesn't actually matte—" His doorbell ring. Kyoro got up and opened it to see Hirata. "Hirata?" "Sorry. We're you sleeping?" Hirata asked. "Nope. Another depressive episode. I'm nearing the end of the season." Kyoro said rubbing his nape. "Well, I'm about to hand out with Karuizawa-san and the gang. Want to come along?" Hirata asked. "Karuizawa? I'll pass. I don't think she and her friends like me." Kyoro answered. "It might be a good chance to get to know them and get in their good side!"

'I think he's just trying to get me to socialize more...' Kyoro thought with a smile. 'Or...' Kyoro thought going back to a straight face. "Keiko-kun..." 'Oi. You got it wrong, again.' Kyoro thought annoyed. "The truth is, there's something I wanted your help with." Hirata admit. "Help?" "Yeah. Could you serve as an intermediary between Horikita-san and me?" Hirata asked. "I think that if we want to unite Class D going forward, she'll be an integral player." Hirata stated. 'So that's what this about... he's literally never talked to me since the first day of school, and summer break.'

"They say she was the one who proved Sudō's innocence and got the Class C students expelled. If we could work together—" Hirata was cut off by his phone ringing. He checked and saw it was from Kei Karuizawa. "Shouldn't you answer that? Kyoro asked. "Sorry. I guess I'd better get going. If you change your mind, just call me, okay?" Hirata said. "Sure thing." Kyoro said with a smile. "Okay, see you." Hirata said and walked away.

'Phew! I thought everyone knew that it was mostly me... Good thing I got that covered up.' Kyoro said with sigh. "Wonder what Horikita's doing..." Kyoro said before grabbing his phone and leaving his room.

Kyoro sat down beside Suzune at a bar. Kyoro placed his head on his arms and looked at the bartender. "Root beer, please." Kyoro said. "Got it."

"That was fast." Suzune said reading a book. "Well, the ship isn't that big." Kyoro joked. "Do you think this trip is going to remain a mere vacation?" Suzune asked. "I was hoping so, but it's dreadfully obvious it's not..." Kyoro said as the man slid down his drink, Kyoro catching without looking. Kyoro looked at Suzune for approval but she just gave an unimpressed look. "Tough crowd. Anyway, there's probably more to it." "Yeah." "This ship is headed for a boarding house on a South Seas island owned by the school, isn't? When we get there..." Kyoro started. "We can't let our guard down." Suzune finished. "Aww! We're in sync!" Kyoro said and slung his arm around Suzune's shoulder, Suzune giving an annoyed glare.

"There you are." An approaching Ryūen said with Albert behind him. He sat beside Suzune and smirked. "I heard you and the Mystic Eyes got my lackies expelled... I expected this from you, but he's a new challenger." Ryūen said staring at her. "Who are you?" Suzune asked without taking her eyes off her book.

"I like women like you, Suzune." Ryūen said making Suzune and Kyoro glare. "I don't know how you found that out," She started making Kyoro curse himself out in his head. "But I haven't given you permission to use my given name." She finished before Ryūen grabbed her chin. "There's something really sexy about that loo—" Kyoro used the same hand around Suzune's shoulder to grab and twits Ryūen's wrist. "Back off pal. She's my partner. And I'm afraid she doesn't like women like you." Kyoro said with visible anger. Ryūen easily took his hand away and smirked. "Possessive, aren't we?" Ryūen asked. "Creepy, aren't we?" Kyoro countered.

"I don't know who you are, but your presence absolutely disgust me." Suzune said with a small tint of pink on her cheeks. "I'm a fan of yours." Ryūen said before taking a picture of her, Kyoro giving him the finger beside her. "I beg your pardon!" Suzune said as Ryūen scoffed at the picture seeing Kyoro's smug smile and finger. "Next time, I'll deal with you two personally. Look forward to it." He said before standing up. "Touch her again and I'll kick your ass!" Kyoro shouted.

"Ryūen!" A girl with short, grayish-blue hair said. "Oh, Ibuki..." Ryūen said. "I need to talk to you." She said walking up to him. Ryūen put his arm around her and spoke. "Missing me, are you?" Ryūen asked. "Don't be ridiculous." Ibuki said slapping his arm away. "I've become fed up with the way you do things." Ibuki answered. "I see. That's fine. We can talk about it in my room later. Just you and me..." Ryūen said making Ibuki attempt a punch on Ryūen but was caught by Albert. "Albert!" Ibuki said in shock. "Are you alright with this?!" Ibuki asked. Albert's expression remained unchanged. "So Ryūen's completely tamed you, has he?" Ibuki asked taking her hand away. "Come back here, Ryūen! We're not done talking yet!" She demanded before Albert grabbed her collar and twisted her arm behind her back. Kyoro stood up and kicked Albert's knee making him fall to his other and let go of Ibuki. Kyoro grabbed Ibuki's collar and got her away from Albert.

"Tch. I'm sick of this..." Kyoro said puting his hands in his pockets as Alber stood up. "Don't get in my way." Albert said to Kyoro in English. "How about," Kyoro started. "Fuck you." Kyoro said in English, surprising the girls and Albert. "Albert." Ryūen called making him walk away. Kyoro sighed and walked up to the seated Ibuki. "You okay?" Kyoro asked reaching his hand out but quickly pulled it back avoiding a slap from Ibuki.

"This is none for your business." She said and stood up, and walked away. Suzune walked up to Kyoro and watched as she walked away. "Class C may be on the verge of collapse." Suzune said. "I'm sick of fighting..." Kyoro said with a sigh. 'The hell is that guy made of...?' Kyoro said lifting his leg and holding his foot. "Stop being a crybaby." Suzune said walking away. "Oi! Don't make me bring up when you were in the alley!" Kyoro said walking beside her. "Shut up!" "Ow!" He said receiving a poke to his side.

Sakura was overlooking the ocean from the railing of the boat.

"And that's what I was thinking... so?" She mumbled. "W-Would you... um... d-d-da..."
"Sakura?" Kyoro said behind her making her squeal. "What's... wrong?" Kyoro said trying not to laugh at her reaction. "H-How long have you been there?" She asked turning around. "Not long. Just got here." Kyoro said with a smirk.

"Did you hear? Did you hear what I was saying?" Sakura asked with a blush. "Nope." "Thank goodness..." She said with a sigh. "What is it?" Kyoro asked. "Oh, um, well..." Sakura started. "Is something wrong?" Kyoro asked. "N-No! Nothing wrong, exactly... but I'm still having a hard time talking to our classmates... S-Sorry to ask for your help like this." She answered. "Psh. I told you I'd be there for you. It's okay. If you need someone to listen, that's the least I can do." Kyoro said walking to the rails, Sakura smiling at his words. She grabbed his hands and smiled. "Thank you!" "I-It's r-really nothing special..." Kyoro said blushing.

"Oh? Kyoro and Sakura-san?" Kikyō asked approaching the two, Sakura jumped and dropped Kyoro's hands. "I'm... going back to my room." Sakura said and walked away. "Wait! Sorry. Maybe I should've stayed away..." Kikyō said to Kyoro. "Nah, I think she was just embarrassed." Kyoro said. 'Guess she still has her fear of strangers...' Kyoro thought looking at Sakura's last direction.

"What a beautiful starry sky! Isn't it, Kyoro?" Kikyō asked. "Yeah..." Kyoro said looking at the sky as well. 'It's been awhile since she's brought out her other side, makes me forget that she even has it...' Kyoro thought looking down. "Well, I'd better go." Kyoro said bringing his head back up. "Going back already?" Kikyō asked. "I'm tired. Today has been full of unfortunate events..." Kyoro said slouching his back. "Okay. I'll see you tomorrow, then. Goodnight!" Kikyō said. "Goodnight, Kikyō." Kyoro said starting to walk away.

"Wait." Kikyō said losing her soft tone. She grabbed Kyoro's shirt and put her head on his back. "Kikyō?" Kyoro said, realizing that she wasn't her cheery self. "You're still wary around me, aren't you?" She asked. "Can't lie... I am." Kyoro said with a sigh. "I can sense that sort of thing." She said, Kyoro not knowing how to respond. "It's not fair..." Kikyō mumbled before letting go. "Sorry. I just feel lonely when I'm suddenly left all alone. I thought maybe you..." Kikyō started and stared into Kyoro's eyes. "Never mind... it's nothing. Forget it." She said and walked away.

'She thinks I'm forgetting about her. I can't blame her, things have been awfully hectic and we haven't hung out as much...' Kyoro thought shaking his head with a frown.

~•~

Kyoro was wrapped in his blanket like a tack again with a blank face. Suddenly the P.A. System went off.

"Good Morning, students. The island will soon be in sight. We hope you'll take the time to observe this highly significant scenery."

"Significant scenery?" 'That's not a normal adjective for that sentence...' Kyoro thought before rolling off his bed.

"This lap around the island means something." Kyoro mumbled to himself as Kikyō walked up. Kyoro was leaning on the railing in a white and black three-quarter shirt and dark blue shorts. Kikyō wearing her school uniform without the blazer.

"Morning, Kyoro." "Morning~, Kikyō." Kyoro said lazily. "It's simply breathtaking... Don't you agree?" Kikyō asked looking at the island, then to Kyoro. 'Something else is too...' Kyoro thought glancing at Kikyō them back to the island. "Yeah..." Kyoro said before his eyes began to glow.

"By the way, where's Horikita-san?" Kikyō asked. "Huh?" Kyoro asked in confusion. "Isn't she with you?" Kikyō said tilting her head. "No. I haven't seen her today. She doesn't seem like the 'get the most out of the vacation' type. She's probably in her room." Kyoro said with a shrug.

"ACHOO!" Suzune looked around before shrugging and going back to lying down.

"Maybe!" Kikyō said before looking back at the island. 'Alright. Back to recon...' Kyoro said with a sigh before humming the mission impossible theme, Kikyō soon hearing and joining him, bringing a smile to his face. After a while, Kyoro noticed the others analyzing the island as well. 'I knew it...' Kyoro thought before picking back up on the tune.

~•~

"As we prepare to arrive at the island, we will give an explanation of what to expect. Until then, wait here." Chabashira-sensei said in front of Class D. Everyone was wearing their P.E. uniform and complaining about the heat. Kyoro was beside Suzune and squinting his eyes at her.

"Were you in your room?" Kyoro asked. "Yes, I was reading." Suzune replied rubbing her arm. "It was extremely engaging, but as we weren't allowed to bring personal belongings, I won't get to finish it. Still..." Suzune added.

"Your school IDs will be confiscated. In exchange, you'll wear these wristwatches. Those who take them off without permission will be penalized." Chabashira-sensei informed. "They're being especially careful. As if they're on high alert." Suzune commented. "Yeah. They wouldn't be going this far for a little fun on the beach." Kyoro said rolling his eyes.

"I'm Mashima, Class A's teacher. First off, I'm glad we made it here safely today. But at the same time, it's a shame that one of you was unable to join us due to illness. Anyway, I'd like to start the year's first special test! The testing period will be one week. You will be living as a group on this deserted island. It'll be up to you to make your own decisions from here on out. Now, the survival test begins!" Mashima-sensei announced.

'Guess playtime is over!" Kyoro thought with a smirk.

Class D was now in the beach of the island.

"First, let's review what we know. The school gave us two tents for eight, two flashlights, one box of matches, backpacks of amenities for everyone here, sunblock for the women..." Hirata listed. Everyone was in disbelief about the situation while Kyoro just sat on the sand next to Chabashira-sensei.

"Proceed as we discussed, then." Ryūen said to Katsuragi of Class A, a tall, bald male.

"Right." "Get over yourself. I know that ever since the rumor spread that you tried and failed to get into the student council, Sakayanagi's faction has gained some dominance. This is a good opportunity... for both of us." Ryūen said walking away.

"We're on our own food. We have to survive outdoors until noon seven days from now." Hirata continued.

"But remember what the teachers said? We're still free to swim in the ocean and golf barbecues and stuff." Yamauchi said with a grin. "Only if we spend some of the 300 special test S-points we were given. There's a wide range of things we can by with points. Food, drinking water, tools for a barbecue..." Hirata listed again. "But you're not gonna use them?" Yamauchi asked. "Well, any S-points we have left when the test is over will be added to our class points..." Hirata informed.

"If we can tough it out for a week, we'll get 30,000 a month! That's 30,000 a month!" Ike shouted. "What's that?" Kei asked Hirata. "A list of things we lose points for. Illness and serious injuries. Pollution of the surrounding environment. Absence at morning and evening roll calls. Violence against or stealing from other classes." Hirata listed... again. "There was a way to get more points, wasn't there?" Kei asked. "Each time we secure certain spots around the island, we get bonus points." Hirata explained.

"So the theme of the special exam is 'freedom to choose.'" Kyoro mumbled. "It seems so. If we do this right, we could close the distance to the upper classes." Suzune said standing behind him. "This thing is so restrictive..." She added looking at the wristwatch. "It's like a Fitbit..." Kyoro said with a chuckle. "There's a penalty for removing it without permission, so we got to deal with it." Kyoro said before his glimmered and then died down. "There are hidden sensors and a GPS built into them. So they can send aid immediately in an emergency, I suppose." Kyoro said not seeing Chabashira-sensei smirking at him.

"Hey, Hirata-kun. Don't you think we should be allowed to spend our points, within reason?" Kei asked. "Now way! We should refrain for as long as we can." A male with glasses said. "That's gonna be tough, though..." Kei replied. "Yeah..." "I don't wanna." "I'll like, die." Girls agreed. "A basic toilet?" Hirata questioned. "I'd prefer to tough it out, personally... But I don't think all of the girls will be able to." Kei said earning nods from them.

Meanwhile, Kyoro was laughing seeing them discuss about the cardboard toilet. Suzune and Chabashira-sensei shook their heads at the boy's immaturity. "This test is sounding much more complicated and difficult than I thought it would be." She said looking at Kyoro who was on his back.

Day One...

The Class was walking through the forest with Hirata leading them. 'The three idiots went off on their own to look for a campground and spots. I saw a few but they didn't look very inhabitable, we'll get them for points after we set up camp.' Kyoro thought at the back of the line with Suzune.

"You're not enjoying this?" Kyoro asked Suzune. "This isn't exactly my forte. Both living in this primitive way, and having to around other people." She answered. "I suppose that's valid." Kyoro said with a smile. "I guess the things that you said to me have come true. That they would test us on things beside academics. That's what you said to me." Suzune said still holding her arm. "Factual." Kyoro admit.

"Ike-kun and Sudō-kun volunteered to go searching. That's something I couldn't do." Suzune said. "You gonna be alright?" Kyoro asked. "Why do you ask?" Suzune asked sternly in response. "If Class A and Class B are focusing on taking the spots, we should do the same." She added. "Aiming for a higher class sure is tough." Kyoro said plucking his bangs. "Don't you want it?" Suzune asked.

"Yeah, but mainly for you." Kyoro said with a shrug. "Wait, that didn't come out right!" Kyoro said seeing Suzune stiffen up. "Doesn't matter." Suzune said as her muscles loosened.

"A class of over twenty with a single basic toilet they're not used to using... you really think we can manage that without any problems?" Hirata asked Yukimura, the group stopped at a clearing.

"Well... if we can make the best of it..." He said hesitantly. "Sharing a single basic toilet is guaranteed to cause issues." Hirata added. "I think spending points in moderation is the most effective way to do this. Reckless self-deprivation will build up stress and uncertainty. It may cause hygiene issues, too." Hirata reasoned. "It'll give the girls peace of mind as they engage with this test, too." Hirata added to his point. "That's true..." Yukimura said pushing up his glasses.

"I think we should start searching for a bass camp area, too." Hirata said to the class. "You think so?" Kei asked. "Where we decide to set up may influence how we have to spend our points. Is they're anyone who'll go searching with me?" Hirata asked. He looked up and saw Kōenji raising his hand from a tree branch. A few others raised their hand as well as Kikyō. "Well, if you'll have me..." Kikyō said making others raise their hand as well. Kyoro sighed and raised his own.

"You coming?" He asked Suzune. "I'll pass. But you, volunteering? That's a surprise." Suzune said giving a skeptical look. "Just trying to help..." He looked and saw she wasn't buying it. "Kidding. Not taking a role makes me stand out. And you know how I am." Kyoro said walking away. Sakura raised her hand seeing Kyoro walk to Hirata.

"Thanks, Sakura-san. That's nine. Let's proceed in teams of three." Hirata said to them.

'What the fuck is he? City-boy Tarzan?' Kyoro thought with a blank face, watching as jumped though trees.

"Keikēko-kun... it's hard to walk in the forest, huh?" Sakura asked behind Kyoro. "And it's hot, on top of that. Will you be okay, Sakura?" Kyoro asked holding a plant out of his way. "Yeah, I'm just fine." Sakura said with a nod. "I... think we should pick up the pace." Kyoro said seeing Kōenji jumping away. "O-Okay..." She said and the two took off again. "K-Kōenji-kun is amazing, huh?" Sakura said watching him maneuver his way through the canopy. "No comment for that weirdo." Kyoro said rolling his eyes, getting a giggle from Sakura. "His confidence is off the charts, though. Oi! Kōenji! Don't go to fast or—" "No need to worry." Kōenji interrupted Kyoro. "A forest like this is no problem!" He added.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Kyoro asked squinting his eyes. "As long as its during the day, there's a very low chance of getting lost while wandering in a forest like this one. That's why it intrigues me so." Kōenji said picking up speed.

"And he went faster..." Kyoro said stopping with a sigh. "Kōenji..." Kyoro shouted with little effort. "D-Don't worry, I'm fine..." Sakura said before the two began running again.

"And~ he's gone." Kyoro said walking out from a tree. 'How fast was that bastard going?!' Kyoro thought with an annoyed sigh.

"Is this a path, do you think?" Sakura asked walking up behind him. "Seems to be." Kyoro said leaning against the tree. "Wow..." Sakura said looking a cave formation. "Do you think this is a spot?" She asked. "Most likely." Kyoro said taking a glance.

'Spots are important in this exam. But moving to hastily to secure them will reveal your leader to others.' Kyoro thought before seeing Sakura advance forward. Kyoro grabbed her arm, pulled her to him and covered her mouth. Kyoro peeked behind the tree and saw Katsuragi walkout of the cave. Sakura was blushing and panicking at Kyoro's hold on her. Kyoro looked and saw Katsuragi had a green key card. 'Noted, with suspicion of bait.' Kyoro said with his eyes glowing. He noticed and tried to dim them while still using them.

"We got lucky, huh, Katsuragi-san? Securing a spot this early..." a male said walking out of the cave and beside him. "Lucky?" Katsuragi asked. "I had my eye on this since before we made landfall. It was inevitable that we'd find it. Also, be careful what you say and do." Katsuragi said looking around. "R-Right..." the male agreed. "We don't know when and where others might be listening. Take care to avoid even the slightest mistakes. As leader, I have a responsibility to manage you." Katsuragi added. "S-Sorry..." the male said.

"Before we docked, the boat did one lap around the island from a distance. That was a hint." Katsuragi informed. "A hint?" The male asked. "From the deck of the boat, I could see the paths cut through the forest. From there it was just a matter of finding the shortest routes." Katsuragi answered. "You could see what the school was trying to do? Brilliant as usual. Sakayanagi won't have much to say to that, will she?" The male praised. 'Dude— are they trying to give information?' Kyoro asked before feeling Sakura shift. He looked down and saw she hand turned toward him.

"Quite down, Yahiko." Katsuragi said making Kyoro Switch focus. "Katsuragi-san?" Yahiko asked. Katsuragi began walking in Kyoro's direction. Suddenly, Katsuragi pushed a few plants out of the way, only to see nothing. Yahiko walked behind him as Katsuragi stood up.

"Nothing. Let's move on. We shouldn't stay here long." Katsuragi said as they walked back to the cave. 'Are they blind? Did they not see the red outfits and purple hair?" Kyoro thought still hugging Sakura. 'Still a close call, I guess.' Kyoro said and let go of Sakura she scurried away with a red face and began squirming. "Sorry about tha— Sakura? Sakura?!" She tipped over and began stuttering. "I-I'm f-f-fine!" She said as Kyoro raised an eyebrow. 'He held me~! I wish he'd do it again!' Sakura thought standing up quickly.

The two walked up to the cave and peeked in. 'They were from Class A... that makes it seem like Class A is divided based on the shorter ones words.' Kyoro thought as they walked in. Kyoro walked up to a panel on the wall that said the spot was occupied by Class A for another 8 hours. "H-Hey, Keikēko-kun... Does that mean that guy was their leader? W-We just learned an incredible secret, huh?" Sakura said with a smile. "It would seem so! I'll report it to Hirata later." Kyoro said as the two began to walk out.

~•~

Kyoro was sitting by a tree with Suzune standing beside him.

"Kōenji-kun got ahead of you?" Suzune asked. "Yeah. If only I had a tranquilizer for that guy. I think you'd be thinking the same thing." Kyoro said with a shrug, Sakura behind him.

"Good news, everyone!" Hirata exclaimed. "Ike-kun and the others found a spot at the head of a river. Let's meet up with them!" Hirata announced.

~•~

"Here it is! The spot we found!" Ike shouted to the arrival of the others. Kyoro took off his jacket and shirt, and then even his shoes, socks and pants to reveal his swimming trunks underneath. He soon ran to the river and jumped in. He lied on his back and let the water soak him.

Kyoro looked around as the others chatted and talked about the spot. Suzune sat at the side of the river and watched Kyoro. Kyoro spotted the same control panel on a nearby tree. 'There it is. Only the leader of each class can take possession of a spot.' Kyoro thought as the others huddled up. He stayed in the water but swam a little closer.

"Assuming we want to use this as our base camp, the question is whether or not to take possession of it." Hirata said. "We should, shouldn't we?" Ike asked. "If we do, we can use the river, and we'll get points every eight hours!" He reasoned. "Yeah. But that means the leader needs to renew possession every eight hours." Hirata said. "That's right. And if another class sees that..." Kei said. "Can't we just, like, surround them while they do it?" Yamauchi asked. "Good idea! What do you guys think?" Hirata asked, Kyoro standing up from the water and getting out. Everyone agreed as Kyoro walked up to Suzune. "Then the last question to answer is, who'll be the leader?" Hirata asked. Everyone began to nominate Hirata due to his steeled position in the class already.

"Hey, guys, can I say something?" Kikyō asked. Everyone huddled closer and some crouched down. "I've been thinking about it... People like Hirata-kun and Karuizawa-san stand out, whether they mean to or not. But the person entrusted with the role of leader needs to be someone responsible, right?" She said earning a nod from Hirata. "I think the person who meets both requirements is Horikita-san. What about you guys?" She asked. Kyoro giggling in the background.

"I'm in favor. If you'll accept the role, Horikita-san, I'd like you to take it. What do you think?" Hirata asked her. "If she doesn't want to, I'll do it." Sudō said before she answered. "Fine." Suzune said. "I'll do it." She said before poking Kyoro. "Ow!"

Suzune has finished claiming the spot and everyone backed off of her.

"Okay! That solves the bathing and drinking water problem, huh?" Ike asked Hirata. "I guess so. I mean, it does look drinkable..." Hirata said as he and Kei looked at it. "Are you sure it's okay? Drinking water from a river..." "You think so?" "Really?" The girls asked.

"What's wrong with you guys? We found an actual river! There's no way we're not gonna use it, right?" Ike asked. "We have time. There's no need to decide so hastily." Hirata answered. "Yeah!" It's kinda scary, huh?" "He's right." The girls agreed with Hirata again, Ike looking down in defeat. Kyoro walked up to him and put a hand on his shoulder, his other hand holding leaves and stems. "Ikemen?" Kyoro asked. "Ikemen." Ike answered. "Do you have experience with the outdoors?" Kyoro asked as he air-dried. "I used to go camping with my family when I was little. I have no problem with drinking river water." Ike said scooping it in his hands before drinking. "You can tell a spring's purity just by looking at it." Ike added.

Kyoro turned around and saw they had set up the tents and a place for the fire. "Keikio-kun, could I have a moment?" Hirata asked as Kyoro walked over. "I'd like to find some branches we can use for a campfire before it gets dark." Hirata requested. "Gotcha." Kyoro said and began walking away. "Wait! It's dangerous to go alone!" Hirata said. "Eh, I'll find somebody." Kyoro said before placing down the leaves and stems.

"Despite the class's central figure, he has to rely on you. It's pathetic, isn't it?" Suzune asked beside Kyoro. "Despite her position, she sits on the sidelines. Hypocritical, isn't it?" Kyoro said with a smile, making Suzune glare and roll her eyes. "Why aren't you helping out bit?" Kyoro asked. "There's nothing I can help out with. Though if an enemy or an objective shows itself, I can offer my thoughts." She said before walking over to the girls' tent. "Oi, I'm gathering branches..." Kyoro said as she crawled into the tent. 'Guess she sees me as the brawn of the partnership...' Kyoro said as his left eye twitched. 'Eh, I'll get her back.' Kyoro thought before looking at Sakura, Yamauchi beside her mistaking his gaze for him.

~•~

The three were picking up branches and Kyoro was irritated because Yamauchi was there. Suddenly, said male threw his arm around Kyoro's shoulders.

"Hey, Keiko. I think I'm gonna go after Sakura. Since Kushida-chan is out of my league." He whispered. 'Best Girl? Ha! Normally I'd intervene because I'm also interested but do I even need to?' Kyoro thought with a small smile. "With a girl like Sakura, if I can play the kind, caring guy, I think she'll like me!" Yamauchi added.

"You're intentions are leaking." Kyoro said shaking his head. The two finished up and were walking back to camp. Kyoro was holding two bundles and a bag, Sakura one bag, and Yamauchi with also with one bag.

"Hey, Sakura. Can I help you carry those? It must be hard work for a girl. You could get hurt!" Yamauchi asked. "I-I'm okay..." Sakura said before Kyoro stopped. The others stopped as well and saw Ibuki lying on a tree with bruises, and dirt covering her hands. She and Kyoro made eye contact before Kyoro tried to walk away. "EH?!" Ibuki and Sakura shouted. Sakura grabbed Kyoro's jacket and pulled him back with a pout. Yamauchi ran to her in concern.

"Hey, what's wrong?" He said before Kyoro grabbed his shoulder and stopped him. "Wh-What the heck?" Yamauchi asked. "Nothing." Kyoro said letting go. "Hey, are you okay?" Yamauchi asked again. "Leave me alone. I'm fine." Ibuki said not making eye contact. "That must hurt, though..." Sakura commented. "You're Ibuki of Class C, right? Did your classmates do something to you?" Kyoro asked with a sigh. "We're Class D students. You can come to our base camp with us, if you want." Yamauchi said reaching out his hand for her. "Yeah." Sakura agreed. "Didn't you hear him? I'm in Class C. That means I'm your enemy." Ibuki replied. "We can't leave you all alone! Right?" Yamauchi asked the other two, Sakura nodding and Kyoro looking away. "We'll stay with you until you can walk again." Yamauchi added.

"How stupid can you be? You're way too trusting. That would be unthinkable in my class." Ibuki said standing and walking, Yamauchi giving the two a thumbs up.

"You can't just start a fire with branches, see?" Ike started. "But if we do it like this," He said leaning the branches on each other, Kyoro helping. "I think it should work out." Ike finished before Kyoro stood up and stepped back, his clothes back on. Ike lit the leaves under the sticks and the fire sparked and began to grow. "There we go!" Ike said with happiness seeping through his words.

"You experienced campers know your stuff." Sudō commented. "That's the most basic of basics. Just learn that, and anyone can do it." Ike informed. "We're back!" Kikyō announced. She and three other girls were holding dozens of fruit in their arms. They placed them on a tarp. "You think this one's edible?" Kikyō asked picking up a stem with purple berries. "Who knows?" "Maybe they're blueberries!" Kikyō said with a smile. Kyoro crouched down and analyzed the stem, his eyes glowing. "These are bog bilberries. They're edible." Kyoro said taking one off the stem and eating it.

"So, Kyoro, do you know what these are?" Kikyō asked pointing to a dark reddish-purple fruit. "That's a fig. Sweet and juicy, fruits. They taste pretty good and are in most granola bars." Kyoro said after analyzing the fig. Ike crouched beside Kyoro and picked up a green and red gradient fruit. "This is a dragonfruit! Man, this takes me back!" Ike exclaimed. "Really?" Kei asked. "Ike-kun, Keiko-kun, you two know all about this, huh? That's really reassuring." Hirata said. "Nah, Ike started the fire. I'm just using a cheat." Kyoro said standing up and backing away. "Kanji-kun, you're amazing!" Kikyō said starting up a trail of praise towards Ike. Ike smiled before his face became serious and he stood up.

"Karuizawa... I'm sorry about before." Ike said closing his eyes. "Wh-Where did that come from?" Kei asked. "I just remembered. The first time I went camping, going to the bathroom was hard, and I complained to my parents a lot. It must be even harder for the girls, huh?" Ike explained. 'Woah. Is Ike... maturing mentally?' Kyoro thought with a little surprise. 'I say that like I'm any better. He's a better man than me.' Kyoro added while shaking his head before glancing at Ibuki who sat to the side. "I'm sorry, too... We've gotta put in the work now and then, or we won't have any points left, huh?" Kei said.

"Can I say something, everyone? I'd like us all to rely on each other as much as we can until the special test ends. I think we should aim to have at least 120 of our 300 S-points left over by the time the test ends." Hirata said. "You mean you want to spend 180 S-points?" A male asked. "Let's assume we had to buy food and water for everyone for each meal. The most efficient way would be the rations and mineral water set. It's 10 S-points to cover one meal for everyone. Two meals a day would make for 20 S-points—" Hirata began to explain.

"So, what do you think?" Kyoro asked beside Suzune. "It's realistic. I was turning over similar numbers in my mind." Suzune said with her hands on her knees. "Did you tell Hirata that?" Kyoro asked with a sigh. "Certainly not. Don't be ridiculous." Suzune said making Kyoro chop her head and her look back with a glare. "Why would I tell him? He's not my partner." Suzune said with a huff.

"120 S-points is a lot. Remember the results of the midterms and finals." Hirata said. "The change in Class A's points was... um..." Kei attempted. "It was 94." Yukimura answered. "And this is our lower limit. For each day we can find our own food and water—" Hirata started. "—We can save 20 S-points!" Kikyō finished. "If we can spend a week without needing drinking water, we can save over 50 points." Hirata added. "I see..." Kei said as the other girls nodded.

"Hirata, let's try it!" Ike shouted. "Right. Let's all do our best!" Hirata said in response.

'Let's see how long this lasts.' Kyoro thought with a smile.

~•~

Kyoro walked over to Ibuki and sighed.

"Sorry about this. Just wait a bit longer. Hirata and the other— The high council is deciding your fate." Kyoro said with chuckle, Ibuki rolling her eyes. "No need to go out of your way. I'll be driven out soon enough." Ibuki said not looking at him. "Knowing them, I wouldn't be so sure. We have a lot of trusting types." Kyoro said with a shrug and taking a step back. Kikyō walked up and handed Ibuki food.

"You're Ibuki-san, right? Here, eat this." Kikyō said before Ibuki looked up and then looked away. "You're all idiots. Every one of you..." she said before Kikyō placed the leaf on her lap. "Come on, just eat it. We can have a talk later, too." Kikyō said with a smile.

"God damn it! Kōenji!" Sudō suddenly yelled. "What did he do now?" Kyoro mumbled in irritation. Kyoro and Kikyō looked over and heard the class complaining about Kōenji's selfishness.

"What happened?" Kikyō said running over. "Kōenji said he wasn't feeling well, and went back to the boat!" Yukimura said in anger. "According to the rules, Class D will lose 30 S-points. Kōenji-kun will be out of the game and required to stay on the ship to recover." Hirata informed, the class erupting into even more complaints.

'Great~... complications are arising already...' Kyoro thought shaking his head with Suzune.

~•~

Day Two...

Kyoro was sitting by the water in peace.

Until, he heard Ike shout.

"Hey!" "We caught some fish!" Sudō shouted after him. "Look at all the fruit we found!" Kikyō said as the girls arrived with their portions of food. "Great work, everyone." Hirata praised. "Hirata, what should we do next?" Sudō asked. "Could you two get the fire ready?" He asked Ike and Sudō. "Sure!" They answered. "Kushida-san's group, you oversee the rationing." "Right" Kikyō said. "Anyone who's not busy with other tasks, help us collect drinking water. Okay, everyone. Could you carry these?" Hirata asked Kei. "Okay~!"

'Ikemen: Hirata Yōsuke... Class D's False Prophet... Not that I'd call myself one but I guess that'll be my role. I like the sound of Mystic Eyes better though.' Kyoro thought with a smirk.

Kyoro and Suzune were walking through the forest, Kyoro holding a notepad. On the notepad was a bird's eye view sketch of the island.

"It's rare to see you taking initiative like this." Suzune said as they walked. "Oi. You've been dissing me a lot lately. Besides, nothing better to do, and I'd like my points back." Kyoro said ending with a shrug. "I don't mind doing recon, but I'd personally rather avoid unnecessary movement. I don't want to waste stamina by wandering around with out a clear goal in mind." Suzune explained.

"Want me to carry you?" Kyoro asked crouching down. Suzune kicked his back making him fall forward. "What was that for?!" Kyoro whisper-yelled. "You spouting nonsense." Suzune said walking in front of him. "Tch. Alright then!" Kyoro said before scooping Suzune onto his shoulders. "Let's go!" Kyoro said and began marching away as Suzune began hitting his head. "Can you stop?! I'm not gonna let you down." Kyoro said as he walked. "Ugh! I'm sick of your shenanigans..." Suzune said giving up.

"... It's clear Class C and the others have placed a target on your back." Kyoro said changing subjects. "That's true, but the leaders of each class also have one on you." Suzune said crossing her arms over Kyoro's head. "Hey. There's not much to see up here." Suzune said in monotone. "You wanna twisted ankle?!I get it— I'm short!" Kyoro said before seeing an opening. He crouched down and let Suzune off before the two met Ichinose and Class B.

"There's plenty of fruit in the forest, and we can probably catch fish in the ocean. We've got the waterfalls for fresh water, too." Ichinose explained. "Class B never fails to impress. It's far more disciplined than I imagined." Suzune commented, Ichinose giving a nervous chuckle. "It was really hard at first! But we rigged up a few things up, and now we're making it work." Ichinose said as Kanzaki walked up to Kyoro and the two fist bumped with nod. Kanzaki walked back to his camp as Suzune glanced at Kyoro. "Ichinose-san, is it safe to assume that our relationship is one of cooperation?" Suzune asked. "Sure! That's how I think of it." Ichinose agreed.

"Sorry to interrupt..." A male with beige hair in a bowl cut and glasses said. "What is it?" Ichinose asked. "I was wondering if there was anything I could do to help." He answered. "Well... Why don't you help Chihiro-chan and the others over there?" Ichinose offered. "Understood. Thank you very much." The male said and walked away.

"He seems rather distant, for a classmate." Suzune observed. "His name's Kaneda-kun. Apparently he had a falling-out with Class C and got driven out of the camp. Oh, sorry... I'd better get back to work. Come back to visit soon, okay?" She said walking away.

"It's an upgrade from Class D in every way. I have to admit that." Suzune said before she and Kyoro began walking away. "You thought I forgot?" Kyoro said before picking her up again, Suzune giving no resistance. "So childish." She said making Kyoro smile.

Kyoro and Suzune were at the cave Kyoro and Sakura were at before. Suzune was trying to see inside the cave from Kyoro's shoulders but couldn't due to a tarp/curtain covering the entrance.

"I can't see what's going on from inside." Suzune said puting her hands down. "Let's just go in." Kyoro said setting her down and starting to walk. "W-Wait!" Suzune said making him stop. "What? We shouldn't be intimidated cause they're Class A. That's gonna be our class soon anyway." Kyoro said with a smirk. "What are you trying to do?" Suzune asked. "There's nothing to be gained from revealing ourselves." She added. "Same as staring at a curtain from a distance." Kyoro said with shrug and started walking again.

The two began approaching the cave with Yahiko standing in front of it. "Sup!" Kyoro said with a wave. "What do you want?" Yahiko asked. "We came here to scout you out. Do you have a problem with that?" Suzune asked before looking at the massive curtain. "How very underhanded. We're going in." Suzune said and attempted to walk forward, Kyoro smiling smugly behind her. Yahiko cut her path off with his arm. "Hey!" "What?" "This place is occupied by Class A. You're not allowed in." Yahiko explained.

"Oh? You've taken occupancy of this spot?" Suzune asked. "That's right. Now leave." Yahiko ordered. "But there's no rule saying I can't enter the cave. I can't use a spot that's currently occupied, but I have the right to see what's inside. What you're doing is monopolization. I think maybe you're the ones breaking the rules." Suzune said before reaching for the curtain. Before she could, Katsuragi walked out. 'Damn. He's one tall individual... is he actually a first year?' Kyoro thought having to look at a pretty wide angle to look at his face.

"What are you doing?" Katsuragi asked. "I don't recall giving you permission to invite visitors." He said making Yahiko sweat. "Relax, big guy. We just wanna see what's inside. Not against the rules, is it?" Kyoro said walking up to Suzune.

"The Mystic Eyes... Go ahead and look, then. But be prepared for consequences. One class occupies one spot, and they protect it until the test ends. If you try to break this unspoken rule," Katsuragi said as Class A students surrounded the two Class D students. "There will be war." He finished. "Just so you know, I could probably take them if we're going all in." Kyoro whispered to Suzune before putting his hands up to fight. "It's best to avoid that sort of trouble." Katsuragi added. Kyoro looked at Suzune expectantly but sighed seeing her shake her head.

'Damn it. I could've practiced, I've only ever been in two fights...' He said before the two began walking away.

Kyoro and Suzune were at the beach of the island, Class C's camp. The whole class were doing their own thing and it seemed they had blown all their points.

"You've got to be kidding me... What is Class C thinking?" Suzune said covering her mouth. "I know. Their class has fun..." Kyoro added getting a poke to his side, Kyoro jumping and grabbing his side before a male approached them. "Ryūen-san wants to see you." They said before they were lead to Ryūen.

"Hey." Was all he said from his beach chair. "You seem to be living in the high life." Suzune commented. "Oh, we are. It's our summer vacation, and we're going to enjoy it." Ryūen said glancing at the smirking Kyoro. "When a leader is incompetent, it ends up hurting those beneath him." Suzune added. "Ask the last three." Kyoro added to that, Ryūen glaring out of the corner of his eye. "For just 100 or 200 class points, you people will endure starvation, heat, and exhaustion... Just the thought of it makes me laugh." Ryūen replied.

"I was a fool to come here on my guard." Suzune said closing her eyes. "Who's the fool here?" Ryūen said sitting up and facing the two. "Is it me? Or you? ...This is the way I do things. There can be nothing more or less." Ryūen said with a glare. "I see. Do as you wish, then. This is best for us, anyway. Oh, and there's one other thing I wanted to ask. You know Ibuki-san, don't you?" Suzune asked. "She's in our class. What about her?" Ryūen asked back. "Her face was swollen. What happened to her?" Suzune asked. "A ruler has no need for disobedient servants. I just issued and appropriate punishment."
Ryūen answered taking a bite from a kabob.

"You used all your points on the first day, didn't you?" Suzune asked. "That's right. I used all our points. So no matter what happens to Ibuki, I don't have to worry about losing any points." Ryūen answered taking another bite. "A simplistic way of thinking. You're wasting all the class points we've been offered." Suzune replied.

"Forget all that and come play with me. I'll prepare a tent for us." Ryūen said making Kyoro crack his knuckles before Suzune grabbed his coat and started walking away. "Let's go, Keikēko-kun." Ryūen smirked as Kyoro was dragged away. Kyoro dragged his thumb across his neck with a glare, his eyes glowing to add effect. "Suzune, come back any time you want to have a little fun. I'll give you a real taste of heaven." Ryūen said grabbing some fruits from a basket. Suzune looked back disturbed, but saw Kyoro looked enraged. She grabbed his arm and kept walking. Kyoro broke free before running back and stealing a kabob, and then running back to Suzune. 'A walkie-talkie...' Kyoro thought in confusion before it clicked.

"Absurd, isn't it?" Suzune asked. "They're self-destruction actually benefits us." Suzune added, the two walking back to camp.

"Yeah." Kyoro said with anger, taking a bite from the kabob. "How much were these?! They might be worth the poin—Ow!" He was poked again. "You need to conserve wherever you can, or you won't last the full week." Suzune said continuing the conversation. "He's not planning to last the week." Kyoro said recovering. "What do you mean?" Suzune asked stopping. "It's simple. He'll do what Kōenji did. They just have to claim they're sick, or they could say they can't handle the stress, or whatever other reason, then drop out. Then they can return to the ship and enjoy their summer vacation." Kyoro explained.

"You mean he'd given up on the test from the start?" Suzune asked with a hand on her chin. "The test is about the freedom to choose, in every sense of the term. Bastard's approach may be one correct answer." Kyoro answered with a shrug. "It's beyond my comprehension." Suzune said and started walking again. 'Zero point strategy... Neat.' Kyoro thought looking at the sky.

Day Three...

Kyoro was woken up by an arm to the chest. He got up and looked around before seeing Sudō sprawled out. Kyoro sighed before seeing Hirata already up.

"Morning, Hirata." Kyoro said yawning. "Morning, Keiko-kun. Did I wake you?" Hirata asked. "Nah, one of the stooges did." Kyoro said rotating his arms, a chuckle escaping Hirata's lips. The two got out of the tent and went to the river. The two grabbed washcloths and began washing their faces.

"That feels nice." Hirata commented. "It must be hard being the one keeping the class together." Kyoro said wringing out his cloth. "I do it because I like it, that's all. If it keeps everyone in the class happy, that's enough for me." Hirata responded. 'From face value? I couldn't tell you his defect. To be honest, I don't even know mine. All I did was fall asleep... during... the exam!" Kyoro thought before throwing his head in the water. 'I could've been in Class A!' Kyoro thought pulling his head up, Hirata staring at him in confusion.

~•~

Day Four...

Kyoro and Sakura were walking through the forest again.

"Are you sure you want to be with me?" Kyoro asked seeing her panting. "Yeah. Sorry. I know I'm kind of a drag during searches..." Sakura admit.

"Aren't you afraid people will start to talk?" Kyoro said, referring to their constant combination. "No, I don't mind that at all. Besides... When we set out on this trip, I was really down at first. I have no friends, so going on a trip wouldn't be fun anyway. But... Now, I'm a little glad I came." Sakura said looking at Kyoro in the sunlight. "I see..." Kyoro said with a small blush and looking away. Sakura began angling her fingers like a camera.

"It's too bad... If I had my camera, I could take a great picture right now." Sakura said before Kyoro looked back with a smile. 'Click~... File saved.' Sakura thought with a satisfied smile.

Kyoro, Sakura, Ichinose, and Kanzaki were at the former camp of Class C.

"Everyone's gone..." Ichinose said. "Keikēko, were you out on recon, too?" Kanzaki asked his friend. "Nah, we were just out exploring and ended up here at the beach." Kyoro said with a shrug.

"I was hoping to take a guess at Class C's leader, at least..." Ichinose said crouching with a pout. "The goal of this test is to increase your point total as much as possible. The minute he abandoned that, Ryūen lost." Kanzaki said picking up a green glass bottle. "The straightforward strategy is best for us, yeah." Ichinose added as Kanzaki places the bottle on the table Ryūen was at yesterday.

"Ichinose, there's something I wanted to ask you." Kyoro said as Sakura walked toward something. "What's that?" "You know anything about Katsuragi from Class A?" Kyoro asked. "Katsuragi-kun, huh? Sakayanagi is sitting the test out, so Katsuragi-kun seems to have taken leadership of Class A, but..." Ichinose started. "Katsuragi's a sharp guy. Even with Sakayanagi's absence, I doubt they'll suffer any internal discord." Kanzaki added. "But it's probably not any fun for the people on Sakayanagi-san's side. Those two are opposite extremes, after all." Ichinose finished.

"Opposite extremes?" Kyoro asked. "A reformist and a conservative, basically. They're polar opposites in how they approach things. They're always butting heads over that, I hear." Ichinose answered. 'Jeez... I'm out of the loop when it comes to info on classes.' Kyoro thought with a face palm as Sakura walked back to his side.

~•~

Kyoro was sitting by the river as the class discussed Class C's withdrawal. Sudō and Ibuki began to fight as Kyoro laid on his side, holding his head up with his hand. Eventually, Ibuki walked away from camp after Sudō grabbed her collar.

~•~

Day Five...

"Hey, boys! Boys! Wake up!" A girl shouted. "Wake up already!" Another shouted.

"Let us sleep in!" Kyoro shouted back throwing a pillow out of the tent. He took someone else's and went back to sleeping as the others woke up.

Kyoro woke back up to being dragged out of his tent.

"Oi! What the hell?!" He asked seeing the girls and guys surrounding him. "The fuck do you all want?" Kyoro mumbled. "Hirata-kun." Shinohara said. Sudō help up Kyoro in a full-Nelson and Hirata began patting him down. "What are you doing?!" Kyoro asked moving around. "I'm sorry for this. I'll be quick." "THAT DOESN'T MAKE IT BETTER!" Kyoro yelled.

"Keiko-kun doesn't have them either." Hirata announced. "Have what?!" Kyoro asked as Sudō put him down. "Karuizawa's panties." Ike whispered your him. 'I was woken up for this?' Kyoro said glaring at the girls. "Keiko-kun, can we talk for a minute?" Hirata asked.

The two walked away from the camp and stopped. "Can you find the culprit?" Hirata asked. "I was just violated." Kyoro said squinting his eyes. "And I'm sorry. But we need to find the culprit." Hirata added. "Sure, just another task to the list." Kyoro said with an annoyed sigh. "Thanks. And if you find the culprit, I'd like you to tell me first. I don't want you to tell anyone else." Hirata requested. "So you want me to cover up the truth?" Kyoro asked. "Cover up the truth? I guess that is what this is... Because no matter who it turns out to be, I believe I should probably bury the truth." Hirata said looking down. "I don't want to ruin everything over this." He added clenching his hands and grabbing his pants tightly. "That's why I want you to help me." Hirata said looking at Kyoro with a smile. Kyoro looked back at him with an unimpressed face. 'Tch. Ikemen...' Kyoro thought.

The girls were arguing about the tents again and Kyoro was lying down by the river. His ears perked up when he heard Suzune say:

"We should add another boy. That will double the manpower on the job, and the boys can keep an eye on each other." Suzune said to Kei. "B-But... there's no not we can trust besides Hirata-kun..." Kei replied. "There is." Suzune said before sighing. "It's Keikēko-kun." Suzune said making everyone look at him.

"I'm good." Kyoro said waving them away. Suzune walked up to him and began dragging him to the tents. "Ugh! Unnecessary work!" Kyoro said standing up.

Kyoro had just finished moving the tent.

'And in the end,' He said looking at Hirata being pulled away by Shinohara. 'I do it myself...' Kyoro said before turning around. "Could I have a minute?" Ibuki asked walking up to him.

"I don't see why not." "Class D seems to be having trouble, too." Ibuki started. "I guess we've both had our share of problems. What ever the reason, as a girl, I find the theft of a girl's underwear unforgivable. Who do you think was responsible?" Ibuki asked. "You think it was me, right? I'm an outsider. Sudō's not the only one who suspects me." Ibuki added. "I don't know. This is beyond me. But, Sudō's glaring at you right now." Kyoro said with a deadpan.

"Of course he is. If I were in your position, I wouldn't trust someone from another class, either." Ibuki stated. "I trust you." Kyoro said staring at her with tired eyes. "Th-Thanks... I wasn't expecting you to say that." Ibuki admit. "Just being honest." Kyoro said with shrug, a light tint of pink on Ibuki's cheeks.

Kyoro walked back to the tree he found Ibuki at. He looked at the ground around it and remembered her dirt-stained hands. Kyoro began digging with an exasperated face. 'Got it.' Kyoro thought with a just as tired smile.

Kyoro walked back to camp and sat at the empty fire. "Alone til dinner..." Kyoro said before Suzune walked up to him and sat beside him. "Must be hard, being forced to do such menial labor." Suzune said. "You're one to talk. I wouldn't have had to if you didn't nominate me." Kyoro said with a sigh. "What was I supposed to do? I can't trust Hirata-kun. I needed insurance." Suzune admit. "You should stop assuming that everyone has a hidden devious side." Kyoro said staring at the fire. "That's true. I have no hidden side, after all." Suzune replied, Kyoro squinting his eyes at her. "But most people keep their inner thoughts and their outward behavior separate. As I thought you did. And as virtuousness and hypocrisy often walk hand-in-hand, I chose not to trust him." Suzune explained.

"Why don't you just come clean already?" Kyoro said as his eyes began to glow. "What are you talking about?" Suzune asked. "You've been feeling sick since this test started, haven't you?" Kyoro asked standing up. "I feel fine." Suzune defended. "Ha. Liar." Kyoro said before placing his hand on her arm. The two began to stare at each other, Suzune's cold gaze breaking down into a soft one. She attempted to strike him but Kyoro caught her wrist. "Let me go." Suzune said with little resistance. "Just hold still." Kyoro said stepping closer to her. He leaned over and she closed her eyes and flinched. Kyoro put his hand under her bangs and on her forehead. "Almost 38 degrees Celsius." Kyoro said shaking his head. "You could tell?" Suzune asked before sighing. "When we met in the ship deck, I asked you what you'd been doing. Remember?" Kyoro asked. "I said I had been in my room, reading." Suzune answered. "You weren't resting in your room because you felt sick?" Kyoro asked with a smile, but stopped and gained a serious face. "You don't plan to tell the others, do you?" Kyoro asked with a frown. "I've held out for five days now. If I gave up now, it would all go to waste." Suzune answered.

'Always the stubborn ones...' Kyoro said with a sad smile.

Day Six...

Kyoro was silently gathering fish in a net with Suzune and Ike. Ike and Kyoro held the net and backed up, waiting on the fish. Suzune was to Kyoro's left after he stopped.

"Horikita." Kyoro started. "What?" "It's important~." Kyoro said gaining a hum from her. "How are you looking after the keycard?" Kyoro asked. "I have it on me at all times. When it's time to renew the spot, I do it while mixed in with students Hirata-kun has arranged. Ibuki-san and the other students shouldn't have been able to identify me." Suzune replied. "Can I see it?" Kyoro asked. "What? Here?" Suzune asked. "It should actually be easier to do it here. If we did it at base camp, we'd be too conspicuous." Kyoro informed. "I suppose, but... Why do you want to see the card?" Suzune asked.

"The truth is, on the first day, I saw a student holding what looked like a key card. Class A. But I don't know if it really was a keycard or not, because I've never seen a real one up close." Kyoro explained. "Good point. It wouldn't be worth anything without positive proof." Suzune agreed before standing beside him and flashing the keycard from her pocket. Kyoro wasn't looking at the card— "Well?" Now he was. "Well...I don't know. I can't tell. I thought I'd be sure after I saw it, but the color might be different from what I remember." Kyoro said a little flustered. "It's possible that each class could have a different color card, too." Suzune added. "Yeah, I guess." Kyoro agreed.

"Hey, look at this! A little secret chat?" Yamauchi said walking up behind the two, Kikyō behind him. "I think you guys are gettin' too close!" Yamauchi added before dumping mud on Suzune's head. "Look! You're covered in mud, Muddykita!" Yamauchi said with a laugh. "H-Hey, Yamauchi-kun!" Kikyō said in shock. "Muddykita!" Yamauchi repeated. "C'mon, this is where the boyfriend's supposed to step in! Right, Keiko?" He said making Kyoro put the net down.

"I will." Kyoro said before shoulder tossing Yamauchi into the river, and into Ike. "That hurt!" Yamauchi said as Ike crawled out from under him. "Oh. Great. Looks like you got the point." Kyoro said in monotone with a glare. "Why?" Ike groaned.

"Horikita-san, you're covered in mud... You should wash that off right away." Kikyō said. "It's true that I can't stay like this." She said as Kikyō began to lead her away.

"Only two, huh?" Ike said holding his arm as Kyoro set down the bucket of fish. Yamauchi limped over your the two.

"I can't believe you did that, Keiko." Yamauchi said. "You literally told me it was my time to step in..." Kyoro said with a deadpan. "Wait! You two are dating?!" Ike asked. "What? No. I just knew what he was implying and did what I thought I was supposed to do." Kyoro said with shrug. "Yeah~..." Ike and Yamauchi said in unison, both giving doubtful glares.

"Maybe we should take a swim. I'm all sweaty." Ike said looking at his clothes. "The shower stall would probably take time, after all." Yamauchi added. "The girls on the morning foraging team have formed a long~ line." Kyoro said annoyed. "Yeah, look at 'em line up!" Ike added to his comment. 'Okay...' Kyoro thought with a tired gaze.

Kyoro was by the fire watching the two fish cook. He looked over his shoulder and saw Suzune with a towel, and in her P.E. uniform giving a shaky look.

"Horikita?" Kyoro asked with concern. "Keikēko-kun... Could you accompany for a moment?" She asked softly. "We can't talk here." She added. Kyoro got up and the two began walking to a secluded area.

"What is it? You want to go and search for more food?" Kyoro asked as they walked. Suzune placed her hand on a tree and began panting. She turned around and faced Kyoro. "Horikita?" "I got careless. I'm telling you this with full awareness of my mistake. You understand?" Suzune asked. "Mistake?" Kyoro asked. "It was stolen." Suzune answered. "This... isn't about underwear... is it?" Kyoro asked with a small blush. "Something much worse." Suzune answered. "What was stolen..." She closed her eyes before opening them. "Was the keycard." Suzune finished.

"Eh?" Kyoro shook his head and began walking up to Suzune. "We shouldn't bring this up to anyone. We should learn the extent of the situation." Kyoro said with a hand on his chin. "Yes." "If they know it will lead to panic. We need to avoid that." Kyoro said with a sigh. "I have two suspects. It was either Karuizawa-san or Ibuki-san." Suzune said. "Things are that bad between you and Karuizawa?" Kyoro asked. "In ways you don't see. Though it was inevitable..." Suzune explained. "I see. But that seems unlikely. Karuizawa has been in front of the shower stall the whole time." Kyoro said shrugging. "You're sure?" Suzune asked. "Positive." "Then the culprit is Ibuki-san." Suzune said before looking down. "We should find the right time, then ask her directly. Worst scenario is if she runs off with it." Kyoro deducted. "That's true. I'm sorry. Maybe you should go back first." Suzune said with sad eyes.

"I'll stay with you for a bit." Kyoro said and hugged her. "You've been doing great so far." He said as Suzune tensed up. She looked forward in shame before seeing smoke in the distance. She pushed Kyoro off and made him look. "What the?!" Kyoro shouted before the two took off.

The two got back to camp and saw that something had been set on fire, Sudō and Hirata trying to take it out. Suzune ran to see the blazing object was the manual. Ike cape back with an extinguisher and put out the fire, stopping the chaos but not the stress. The girls began blaming the guys and the two genders began arguing. Kyoro looked up and saw it was starting to rain.

"It's sign... I can feel something is about to go down." Kyoro said with a small smile. Suddenly, Kikyō asked where Ibuki went. The class began suspecting her as Kyoro silently laughed at their idiocy. 'Dude. No one thought it was her?! That's just ridiculous!' Kyoro thought as they finally came to the conclusion she was a spy. They looked and saw that Hirata was being really quiet when Ike asked for instructions.

'That's my que. Time to find the spy.' Kyoro said taking his leave.

~•~

Kyoro had been searching for the tree he found Ibuki at but couldn't find it. He kept looking before he saw a familiar cloth on a branch. He ran to it and saw Ibuki walking away from a unconscious and to Ryūen who surprisingly was still on the island. Kyoro began running at full speed before dropkicking Ryūen.

Kyoro slid on his feet before roundhouse kicking Ibuki's chest sending her into a tree. "Stay down." Kyoro said as his eyes glowed, a light trail seeping from is irises. Ibuki was paralyzed in fear and didn't move. Ryūen stood up with anger before facing Kyoro. Kyoro snatched the keycard from Ibuki before pocketing it. Ryūen smirked seeing Kyoro's enraged face.

"I can tell you're smiling, but you should know I planned for confrontation. Suzune was an unexpected factor. I planned to take you two on alone." Kyoro said before pulling a walkie-talkie out of his jacket and dropping it to the floor. "Should've made a more inconspicuous marker for the tree, Ibuki-san." Kyoro said before stepping on the walkie-talkie, effectively breaking it. Ryūen growled before getting into stance. "Ibuki, i suggest you stay and watch. You'll get to see how beneath me he really is." Kyoro said lowly, only for her to hear. She didn't respond and kept her eyes on the two. Kyoro walked over to Suzune and took off his jacket, puting it over her so she didn't get any wetter than need be.

"You ready for round one, bitch?" Kyoro said throwing his arms back and crouching down. The two charged at each other and both swung right hooks. Kyoro connected his to Ryūen's gut and Ryūen connected to Kyoro's jaw. The two jumped back before charging again. Kyoro ducked under another hook from Ryūen and brought his head up swiftly to headbutt him. Ryūen stumbled back before getting kicked in the chin. He caught Kyoro's next kick and went to elbow his leg but Kyoro bent his leg and spun, elbowing Ryūen's temple. Ryūen, in a fit of rage, grabbed Kyoro's neck before slamming him into a tree. Kyoro lifted his arm above his head before bringing his elbow down on Ryūen's arm, releasing him from his hold. Ryūen didn't give up and grabbed Kyoro's arms and threw him into another tree. Kyoro scrambled to his feet and tackled Ryūen. The two began wrestling in the mud before Ryūen stood up and stomped on Kyoro's right arm. Kyoro heard a crunch but didn't care, getting up and backhanding Ryūen with the same arm.

"I've had enough." Ryūen said before the two ran at each other again. The two both went for a punch. Kyoro with his left arm and Ryūen with his right. The two clashed with Ryūen gritting his teeth and Kyoro spitting out blood as the two connected blows on each other's faces.

Kyoro turned his head so Ryūen's fist slid off and he grabbed Ryūen's torso before suplexing him on his back. Kyoro stood up wearily and waited until Ryūen did the same. Kyoro feinted a lunch before helicopter kicking Ryūen into a tree. Ryūen baited Kyoro into charging before grabbing his right arm and throwing him into the same tree Kyoro dodged a force palm from Ryūen before kneeing him in his chest. Kyoro extended his leg and ended with a kick to his chin, Ryūen's head cocking back before he stumbled around. Kyoro saw this as his chance to finish it and ran forward with a battle cry. He jumped into the air with his right leg all the way up. Ryūen looked up and saw the glow of Kyoro's eyes before he was axe kicked into the ground. There's was all but silence after Ryūen fell unconscious. The rain poured and Kyoro walked over to Ibuki.

"Take... him... and go." Kyoro said in between pants. Ibuki scurried to her feet and began dragging Ryūen away with struggle. Kyoro looked over to Suzune before propping her up on the nearest tree with his left hand. He sat down beside her and looked at his arm. 'I'm gonna need medical attention...' he said with a sad smile. He was fighting the urge to fall asleep beside the resting Suzune before suddenly she woke up.

"Awake?" Kyoro said with audible pain. "Where am I? What am I doing here?" Suzune asked. "I found you passed out with Ibuki and Ryūen beside you. Got into fight. Broke my arm. Won the fight. Brought you here. You know, the usual?" Kyoro said panting. "Also, got the keycard." Kyoro said with a smile. "You know what has to happen now." Kyoro said with a frown as Suzune stared at his obviously broken right arm, it's direction being irregular and it's joint out of socket. "I've got this covered. You can't hold out any longer." Kyoro said using the tree to stand up.

"We can't afford to lose any more points because of me. I don't have a choice. To reach Class A..." Suzune said looking away. "I don't care about the points, I care about your health." Kyoro said making her eyes widen. "We'll have plenty more chances for points... we need to take what we can get." Kyoro said in between pants again. "I'm responsible for all this. If I'd had allies, we could have taken shifts to protect the card. But... since I don't have any friends like that..." Suzune said as Kyoro crouched down to her. "I brought this all on myself." She said as Kyoro checked her pulse. "You're starting to feel like you need allies, then?" Kyoro asked with a small smile. "I swear I'll make up for this failure. Even if I have to do it alone..." Suzune said sadly. "You don't have to do it alone. You can't do it alone. You're not that strong. Sorry to tell you." Kyoro said wrapping his good arm around her shoulder as a hug. "You're telling me to give up?" She asked. "I didn't say that. There's no need to give up. If you can't fight by yourself, fight with another. That's me, remember." Kyoro said laying his head against hers. "You're not the... kind of person to be... this bold." Suzune said before falling unconscious again.

Kyoro walked up to the tents on the beach that the teachers occupied. He had Suzune on his back and was limping towards them.

"Um... excuse me." Kyoro said making Chabashira-sensei look up and see his bruised and bloody face and an unconscious Suzune. "Horikita... What happened?" She asked gaining the other teacher's attention. "She's... passed out with a... fever. Please take her to rest... immediately." Kyoro said still panting.

"She'll have to drop out." Chabashira-sensei mentioned. "Do you accept that?" She asked. "Over this test? Yes." Kyoro said giving Suzune to Chabashira-sensei. Kyoro was about to walk away when Chabashira-sensei suddenly grabbed his right hand. Kyoro turned around in confusion. "What happened to you?" She asked with a menacing glare.

"I tripped down a hill. I'll be going back now—" "Your arm is broken." Chabashira-sensei interrupted. "It was a very, steep hill." Kyoro said before turning back to her and the other teachers. "Have good nights, senseis." Kyoro said before limping away.

'I worry about that kid...' Chabashira-Sensei thought seeing his figure leave the scene. 'I really do...'

The final day, Day Seven...

"Before the test ends, we'll commence the naming of the class leaders." Mashima-sensei said to Katsuragi and Class A. He gave Katsuragi a clipboard and resident baldie gave a smirk.

"Write who you think were the other classes' leaders on here. If you don't know, you don't have to write anyone." Hoshinomiya-sensei said to Ichinose and Kanzaki.

"We won't write anyone, I guess." Ichinose said to Kanzaki. "The penalty for guess a leader wrong is 50 points. No need to take that kind of risk." Kanzaki responded. "Yeah. We have over 200 points anyway." Ichinose said handing the clipboard back.

Kyoro had his arm wrapped in a cloth and a branch along his arm. He had explained what happened to Hirata and was given the best treatment he could until the end of the test, the girls screaming at its dislocation. He was rolling up a sleeping bag as Sakura approached.

"Um... it's finally over, huh?" Sakura said holding a bag. "Yeah, it is." Kyoro said finishing with one hand. "What do you think our score will turn out be?" Sakura asked. "There was the thing with Ibuki-san... and then, your arm, too." Sakura added looking at his arm.

"Okay, it looks like all classes are here. So, as of now, I declare the special exam over." Mashima-sensei announced.

Suddenly Ryūen came out of the forest, muddy, bloody, and battered. He didn't speak a word as Kyoro smirked at him. Everyone began whispering and mumbling about his sudden arrival. Kyoro smiles hearing some of Ryūen's words to Katsuragi.

"Hey, now. You're about to see something interesting." Ryūen said throwing Kyoro a smirk as well. "What do you mean?" Katsuragi asked. 'I win.' Ryūen thought as he and Kyoro glared.

"I will now reveal the results of the exam. Coming in last... Class C, with zero points." Mashima-sensei said making Ryūen's smirk into face of shock. 'What?!' He thought before looking towards Mashima-sensei. "Next, in third place, Class A, with 120 points." Mashima-sensei continued, Katsuragi's eyes going wide this time. Kyoro began walking out of the crowd that was his class with a smug smile. "I'm second place, Class B, with 140 points." Mashima-sensei said as Kyoro emerged from the crowd. "And in first place, Class D, with 225 points. That is all" Mashima-sensei finished, the classes beginning to talk about the placements, Class D cheering as Kyoro stared down the leaders of Class C and A.

Suzune was in her bed on the cruise looking at tv showing the students in confusion.

"What on earth happened?" She asked before seeing Kyoro on the tv his smirk being sent the camera's way.

~•~

"Welcome back from the test, all!" Kōenji said greeting the class in only a speedo.

"Hey, Kōenji! We lost 30 points because of you!" Sudō said in his face. "Calm yourself. I was laid up and in poor health. What else was I to do?" Kōenji responded. The class began throwing complaints as Kyoro was led away to the infirmary by Chabashira-sensei.

Kyoro had just got his arm pushed back in place and was leaning on his left arm. He was channel-surfing on the tv in the infirmary before Suzune walked in.

"What did you do?" She asked. Kyoro gave a blank stare before squinting at her. "No, 'get well soon, Kyoro.' or, 'Hope you're alright, Kyoro!', Hmm?" Kyoro asked with sass. "I'll get to that, but I need answers." Suzune said before Kyoro pointed to a tray on the table beside him. "Could you get me one?" He said talking about the kabobs from before that rested on the tray. Suzune groaned before sitting by his bed and giving him a kabob.

"Can you feed m—" "Shut it." "Got it..." Kyoro said taking a bite. "Answers?" Suzune said impatiently. "Basically, You're not our leader, Horikita." Kyoro said taking another bite and continuing to switch channels. "What? But the card—" Kyoro pointed to the card on the same table beside her that read his name. "What's your name doing on it?" She asked.

"Just before the test ended, I changed Class D's leader. You can't change leaders without a good reason. Which means that if you do have a good reason, you can change leaders. A leader's failing health is a good reason. As a result, Ryūen and Katsuragi named you as leader, and they were wrong." Kyoro explained before asking for another kabob. Suzune gave him one before asking another question.

"You arranged all this, didn't you?" She asked as Kyoro took a bite. "Yup. Ibuki was a spy, so I took her digital camera and destroyed that. As a result, Ibuki would need to steal the keycard itself. I didn't want to have to wait for your condition to deteriorate too far but, it seemed like the sure-fire way. Now, I... may have... intentionally got the card stollen, burned the manual as a distraction, and lured away Ibuki. I didn't expect you to follow but you did. I went after her and saw her talking with Ryūen since I also got her walkie-talkie. I got the card back, beat up Ryūen at the cost of a broken arm, but all's well that ends well." Kyoro said leaving the tv on a comedy. "Then you got me to drop out and then changed our leader." Suzune added. "Initially, I wanted to earn points through spots I saw on the lap the boat took, but I saw Katsuragi leaving a spot with a card in hand." Kyoro said before laughing at the tv. Suzune nudged his shoulder making him calm down. "So A's leader was Katsuragi-kun?" Suzune asked. "Nah, Katsuragi is a cautious guy. He wouldn't do anything so careless. He wouldn't even occupy a spot at a time when someone could see him. It was to conceal the fact that someone else had occupied the spot without asking him first. So of course, I surmised it was Yahiko, the only other person with him. As for Class C, I knew that Ryūen was still on the island because him not hiding his walkie-talkie. And when I found out Ibuki had one, I just put two and two together, making Ryūen the obvious leader. That's when I switched from spot occupation, to leader identification. I left Class B alone since we were cooperating, you know, since it'd be dumb to destroy that alliance, plus there was a spy from Class C in B, too, so I knew their leader would be guessed without any action from me." Kyoro explained. He took a deep breath before drinking water to his other side.

"And as you surmised, B's leader was guessed, causing them a serious loss of points." Suzune added. "Yup. That's minus 50. And all bonus points are negated a result." Kyoro said with a smile.

"You really put one over on everyone. You're really trying to help me reach Class A?"
Suzune asked. "What is it that drives you?" She added to the question. Kyoro turned to the tv with a smirk before side-eyeing her.

"That's what friends are for." Kyoro said, Suzune staring at him in shock before looking away. Suddenly Chabashira-sensei entered the room. "Can I speak with Keikēko for a minute, Horikita?" She said leaning at the doorway. "Excuse me." Suzune said before walking to the door. "Bye, Horikita-san!" Kyoro said as she left with a wave.

"First, allow me to commend you. I'm genuinely impressed." She said sitting where Suzune did. "What can I say? A promise is a promis. But are you still gonna be on my ass?" Kyoro asked with an annoyed sigh. "Never mind. But do you know if whoever they are actually asked to have me expelled?" Kyoro asked knowing the answer. "I want proof." Kyoro added crossing his arms.

"I know everything about you. That's proof enough, isn't it?" She said earning a doubtful gaze from Kyoro. "The wings of Icarus." She added vaguely. "What about it?" Kyoro asked. "Icarus took flight in order to be free. But only because his father Daedalus instructed him to make the wings and take flight. He wasn't flying of his own free will. Doesn't that sound just like you?" Chabashira-sensei asked. "I mean, yeah, I guess." Kyoro responded. "That man, Ayanokōji, said this. 'Someday, Keikēko will chose expulsion of his own accord.' You'll burn your wings under the sun, fall into the sea, and die." Chabashira-sensei said ending with a frown and standing up.

"Out of the question. Bzzt! Bzzt!" Kyoro said mimicking a buzzer, smiling at her as she walked to the door. "What will you do next?" Chabashira-sensei asked. "I think you already know. Icarus didn't listen to Daedalus' warnings." Kyoro said with a smug smile.

Kyoro was channel surfing again until Suzune entered the room with a glare.

"What?" Kyoro asked. "Hirata-kun told me. When you told him A and C's leaders, you said I was the one who figured it all out. And after the test was over, you asked him to work together to bring the class together. Are you still using me as a cover?" Suzune asked. "Horikita, do you remember what I told you back the?" Kyoro asked. "You need allies." He answered himself.

"You did it for that?" Suzune asked. "You've finally started to change." Kyoro said with a soft smile. "It's your fault..." Suzune said with a blush. "Ever since we became partners..." She mumbled. "Also, stop acting so buddy-buddy with me, especially when we're back at school. We're only working together to reach Class A." Suzune exclaimed. "But... I will say one thing." Suzune said shyly. "Thank you." She said genuinely. Kyoro was at the verge of tears before he wiped one away.

"They grow up so fast." He mumbled. "Not that I'm saying that I need you or anything..." she said crossing her arms. "Aww! Don't be such Tsundere now." Kyoro said with a teasing tone. By the way..." Kyoro started.

"Call me Kyoro."
