'Summer... Vacation...' Kyoro thought waking up on the floor. He was currently a human taco, and going through a phase. Ever since Suzune asked about him he's been distant, and only talked when spoken to, yet never came out of his room. He heard his phone ring before seeing it was surprisingly Suzune.

"No." He said turning over his taco shell. It rung out again and Kyoro declined the call. He heard an audible thud from the room over. 'Shit! I forgot we were neighbors!' He said before standing up, and falling back down because of the blanket he was wrapped in. 'Never mind.... my fate has been accepted.' He thought hearing a knock on his door. He stood up again and waddled to the door. He opened it and Suzune saw the state he was in. She didn't say any words and entered his room.

"So... what's up...?" Kyoro asked. "You've been avoiding us lately." Suzune said sitting in his desk chair. Kyoro hopped back on his bed and faced Suzune with a straight face before denying. "No I haven't." "Security cameras say other wise." "THEY HAVE THEM IN HERE?! WHERE?!" Kyoro said throwing off the blanket and standing up. He looked around and didn't see any. "I meant from outside of the room. You haven't left your room in a week and a half. Normally, I wouldn't care, but since we're... partners... I decided to get you out of your room." Suzune said with an annoyed look on her face.

"...Do you have your compass?" Kyoro asked while squinting at her. "I can always go get it." Suzune said with a glare. "No. No. You're good. You're good... anyway, say I did get out of my room. What would I go do?" Kyoro asked.

"Kushida-san, Sakura-san, and the three idiots are going to the pool with others from Class D." Suzune answered. "I'm not really trying to see them all again yet..." Kyoro said walking to his kitchen area. He opened a fridge and took out a tub of ice cream from the freezer section and grabbed a spoon. Suzune watched as he walked back to his bed and began eating with a blank stare. "You're helpless..." Suzune said with a sigh. "I wanted to have to do this..." She said standing up. Kyoro looked at her lazily before seeing his worst nightmare. Her compass. "YOU LIED!" He screamed pointing at her. "You leave me no choice. After what you did to me during the case. I should give you more than this as punishment." Suzune said slowly walking towards him. Kyoro set down the ice cream and put his head down... before jumping off his bed. "YOU'LL NEVER CATCH ME ALIVE!" He shouted but tripped over his blanket. Suzune room this opportunity and jumped at him. "ASSAULT!" He shouted as she raised her compass.

Kyoro was standing outside of his door in red swimming trunks, a white with black strips, button-up shirt, and black slides over his feet. He heard a door unlock and watched as Suzune walked out. Kyoro side-eyed her and walked forward, Suzune closely behind.

'She has surprisingly good fashion sense...' Kyoro thought before they left the building. "I have a bad feeling about this." Suzune said with a sigh. "Huh? Horikita-san? Keiko-kun? It's been awhile, hasn't it?" Hirata asked with Kei clinging to his arm. "Wow, Horikita-san! You're not dead? And Keiko-kun is hanging out with her? I haven't seen either of you since summer break started." Kei said.

"I merely had no need to see you people." Suzune stated. "I was just depressed." Kyoro said with a shrug. "Oh?" Kei said with doubtful eyes. "Horikita-san, why don't you come hang out with your Class D friends from time to time?" Hirata asked. "Can't you see I'm actively doing that." Suzune said making Kyoro gasp. "Hmph. Let's go, Hirata-kun." Kei said. "I guess Horikita-san only wants to hang out with her boyfriend." Kei said pushing Hirata away, Suzune's face turning pink. "See you around, Horikita-san, Keiko-kun." Hirata said as they left.

"You call me a friend..." Kyoro said with a smile. "No, I didn't." "You did, Hirata-kun said why don't you hang out with your Class D friends from time to time, and you answered with, can't you see I'm actively doing that. That's calling me a Class D friend!" Kyoro said crossing his arms with a smirk. "I-I didn't mean it!" "Then why'd you say it?" Kyoro asked making her growl before starting to walk. "Let's just go..." Suzune said stomping away, Kyoro by her side. "You got it, friend."

Kyoro and Suzune were standing beside Sakura and Kikyō at a bus stop. Kyoro was staring into space with a smile as Suzune glared at him out of the corner of her eye.

'What am I doing here?' Suzune thought as Sakura and Kikyō conversed. "I'm so glad you're coming with us, too, Horikita-san. And thank you again for bringing Kyoro. I was hoping we could use this trip to get closer. Okay?" Kikyō said. "What is it?" Kikyō asked seeing Suzune staring at her. "Where are Ike-kun, Yamauchi-kun, and Sudō-kun? They're not here yet?" Suzune asked Kyoro. "Hell if I'd know, I don't talk to those idiots unless they storm my room." Kyoro said before they heard Ike. "Sorry for the wait!"

"We overslept, sorry." Ike added. "You overslept... but you're coming from the direction of the pool?" Sakura asked. 'Suspicious...' Kyoro thought squinting his eyes. The three flinched as Suzune glared at them. "W-Well..." "D-Don't sweat the details!" Yamauchi said. "A-A-Anyway, let's hurry!" Sudō said waving forward.

"Yeah, let's go! Let's go!" Kikyō shouted before the group began to walk. Kyoro looked forward and noticed two of the three idiots doing something strange. "Morse code?" Kyoro mumbled. He began to watch their movements and read what they were saying. 'Messed up? Another chanc— They're trying to peek... hmm...' Kyoro thought as they group stopped. "Oh, hey!" Ichinose said with a group of her friends beside her. Kyoro looked up and saw Kanzaki. Kyoro walked up to him and the two fist bumped with a smile. Kyoro's group walked up to them as well as Ichinose's. "You guys going to the pool, too?" Ichinose asked.

The group stepped out of the building and looked at the water park.

'I could've swore they said pool...' Kyoro thought. He only had on his swimming trunks and had his hands on his hips.

"Now, let's have lots of fun!" Ichinose said with a float under her arm. "Sakura-san, you bought a rash guard, huh?" Kikyō asked seeing Sakura's swimwear. "I don't like showing my bare skin in front of people..." Sakura responded. "I got a brand new swimsuit, too." Kikyō said showing off her red, frilly bikini. Kyoro walked away and towards a lazy river. Suzune saw this and followed him. "Huh? Yamauchi-kun isn't here." Kikyō stated making Ike and Sudō flinch. They began to stutter and pretend to look around. "Did we lose him, maybe? We should try to find—" "It's okay, it's okay! He probably just went to the bathroom!" Ike said in panic. "There's a volleyball court over there! Let's do it! Let's do that right now!" Sudō shouted.

"Wh-Why are you freaking out about it?" Ichinose asked.

Kyoro was lying down face first in the water of the lazy river. The people around hims stared in shock or confusion as his body drifted through the water.

"Um... I'm not very good at sports." Sakura exclaimed, the two groups at the volleyball court.

"Hey, it's okay. We have more boys on our side, anyway." Kikyō stated. "Okay, here we go! Take... that!" Ichinose said serving the ball.

"What's that?" Ichinose asked. "That's the bathroom." A girl answered, the students seeing long lines at the restrooms. "You think something happened? I'll go have a look." Chihiro said before Ike stood in her way.

"Hold it! Who cares about some line right now? Focus! Focus!" He said with a crazed face, scaring the girls. "What's going on with Ike-kun?" Kikyō asked.

Kyoro lifted his head and saw the lazy river was empty. He grabbed a tube float beside him and hopped in with a satisfied face. A moment passed before he was suddenly flipped out of his float. He emerged from the water and frantically looked around before spotting Suzune.

"Why are you here?" He said with a sigh. "This trip was for us to 'get closer'." Suzune said with visible quotation marks. "The others are playing volleyball, come with me." Suzune said as the two floated. "I came here to enjoy the pool... and that what I'm gonna do." Kyoro said puting himself back in the tube float. Suzune glared before swimming up to him. Kyoro expected her to do something, but instead she grabbed a float of her own and hopped on it. The two began to float down the water in a calm silence.

"Hey." "Yes." "The guys are trying to peek on the girls..." Kyoro said placing his hands behind his head. Silence wept over them before Kyoro's arm was grabbed. "Let's go." Suzune said dragging out of the water. "Okay..." Kyoro said before chuckling.

Suzune went to tell the others and Kyoro went to the locker rooms. He saw velvet rope and a 'cleaning in progress' sign. He stepped over it and stood in front of the two entrances.

"Huh? They're not cleaning in there..." Ryūen said as his group approached. Suddenly Sudō ran in front of them as Kyoro watched. "You can't just come barging in here! There's a sign that says it's off-limits!" Sudō shouted. "As if I care. I go where I want. That's how I roll." Ryūen responded before Albert walked up to Sudō.

"How unsightly. A fight between two bottom feeders." Sakayanagi of Class A said, a small girl with icy lavender hair. "Sakayanagi? No one asked you to come here. Take your dogs and go home." Ryūen said. "Oh? Perhaps I should domesticate you, too..." She responded.

"Okay, you two have weird kinks." Kyoro said making everyone turn to him. "So... the leaders of Class A and C... interesting." Kyoro added. "What's all the fuss out here?" Manabu asked from the second floor. "Well, if it isn't the President! The gangs all here!" Kyoro said with a smirk. Manabu hopped of the second floor and in between the three groups. "Even if this is a leisure facility, we're still within the school. Don't you understand that?" Manabu asked.

"Well, well. The Student Council President and the fabled Mystic Eyes..." Sakayanagi said after chuckling. 'Mystic Eyes?' Kyoro thought at his nickname.

Meanwhile, the others were watching as other students walked into the facility building with faces of confusion.

"Did something happen?" Kikyō asked. "It's probably Keikēko causing a scene." Horikita said after glaring at Yamauchi who was lying on his stomach in pain.

"Sudō stop yelle—" "I SAID I HAVE A LEG CRAMP! STAY AWAY FROM ME!" He shouted blocking the entrance as the leaders of the Classes and Manabu stood in front of the two.

"Sudō, let me handle this." Kyoro said placing a hand on his shoulder before pointing at the hallway. Sudō nodded before running away. "I knew he was lying..." Kyoro said shaking his head. "Well, what's the matter then, Head-honchos?" Kyoro asked with a laugh. "Keikēko-kun, have you changed your mind?" Manabu asked. "Keikēko?" Ryūen mumbled. "So you're the one who got my lackies expelled, huh?" Ryūen said approaching Kyoro. "And... who are you again?" Kyoro asked with sarcasm. "Tch. I already don't like you. I know it wasn't just you that worked during that case, tell me the others name, Mystic Eyes?" Ryūen said with a smirk.

"Horikita Suzune. My partner in crime." Kyoro said as the two began to glare at each other. "Speaking of partner," Kyoro said before waiting a moment. "Showtime. Ready for the declaration of war?" Kyoro asked as everyone flooded out of the building. The three leaders raised eyebrows and followed after the students. Kyoro walked out after them and they saw Suzune on the high dive.

'Why do I have to do this...?' Suzune thought before sighing. "Let me start by saying... We are year one, Class D. We're known as a collection of defective students. We're made up of problem children. We're foolish, and we fall for the plots of other classes very easily. Students of Class C, it was bold of you to try and sabotage us before. But right now, I feel grateful to you. Thanks to you, I understand, the difficulty of aiming any higher in a class full of problem children. But the classes from A to D aren't necessarily separated on superficial academic and athletic ability. Which means that even the failures of Class D can ascend to Class A. We can make it to Class A. We will make it to Class A!" Suzune announced earning cheers from Class D students of all years.

"Enjoyed the show?" Kyoro asked behind the leaders of each Class and Manabu. Ryūen walked away with a smirk. "Class D..." Sakayanagi said with closed eyes before walking away. Manabu looked up at Suzune and Suzune looked back at him.

"Utterly ridiculous." Suzune said approaching Kyoro, said protagonist sitting beside the pool with his feet in as the others played.

"There were really cameras set up in there." Suzune finished. "Thought so... all is good then." Kyoro said with a smile. "You may be right." "You got rid of the SD cards right?" "Yes. Also, why did you have me give that attention drawing speech?" Suzune asked. "Just our declaration of war, letting them know we aren't gonna let the walk over us." Kyoro said with a smug smile and closed eyes. "Everyone applauded so you should be fine." Kyoro said making Suzune huff and turn away. A silence came over the conversation and Suzune turned back to Kyoro.

"Did you enjoy the pool?" Suzune asked. "I need you back in good spirits if we are going to work together." Suzune added. "Yeah. It was... eventful, but pretty fun none the less." Kyoro said looking at the sun. "What about you?" He asked. "I didn't come to have fun. I like being by myself." Suzune said annoyed. "Yet you invited little ol' me." Kyoro said with smug smile. "Shut up." Suzune said kicking him in the pool. Kyoro emerged from the water and glared at Suzune . "Retaliation!" Kyoro yelled grabbing Suzune's leg and throwing her in the pool. Suzune got up and began to dunk Kyoro's head in the water.

"Oh! Let me join!" Kikyō said before splashing water at Suzune and letting Kyoro get his head up. "Kushida-san! We are not playing—" Suzune said before Kyoro put her in a headlock. Kikyō began splashing the two, "Take that!" She said before Kyoro splashed her back. Suzune shook her head and covered her eyes before Sudō shouted.

"I'm gonna play with Horikita, too!" He yelled as the three idiots jumped in the pool with a shout. "Yahoo!" Kyoro moved out of the way as the three made a large splash that hit Kikyō and Suzune. Sakura suddenly splashed a bit of water at Kyoro from behind him. He turned around and Sakura looked apologetic. "S-Sorry..." she said before submerging under the water. Kyoro pulled her back up and brought her over to the others. The seven began to use the pool and have fun until closing time.

Suzune walked out to her room from the bathroom and sat on her bed in yellow and green pajamas. She looked beside her and grabbed her phone.

"An email?" She questioned. The only thing was an attachment and one sentence.

"I hope you'll frame this."

Suzune clicked on it and showed a picture of the seven.

Kyoro had one arms around Suzune with his over slightly covering his face like a villain. Suzune was standing still with an annoyed face. Ike was crouched down in the middle with Yamauchi holding his shoulders behind him. Kikyō was next to Sakura and leaning on her. Sudō was off to the side with a sly grin pointing at himself.

Suzune fell back on her bed holding her phone to her chest. She gave a smile before turning over and closing her eyes. Suddenly she got another notification and looked at her phone.

"Great job today, Partner."

Another attachment showed Suzune on the high five from Kyoro's perspective as a selfie. She smiled before looking around. She tapped a few thing on the screen before putting her phone down. The phone showed the photo Kyoro sent, her screensaver.
