You had your face buried beneath a pillow trying to melt into the bed and dissapear

So far it wasn't working

You heard a knock on the door "Hey? Are you in there?"

"Can we come in?"

You tried to say something but it got all mushed up. The door opened slowly only a single eye peaking in before they threw the door open

"You're back!" Bow went to hug you but couldn't really since you were laying down on your stomach

"Ikwol"

"Huh?" Bow frowned and you tilted your head to the side

"I know" You got up on your elbows and blew some hair away from your face

"You really did a number on my mother back there" Glimmer sat on the edge of the bed with a concerned look

You closed your eyes and pinched the bridge of your nose "I know"

"Hey it's ok" Bow smiled and sat in front of you "You can just apologize. I'm sure everything will be ok afterwards"

"I don't apologize" you said sternly and narrowed your eyes at Bow

He held his hands up "Hey I'm just saying, you don't have to do it if you aren't ready yet"

You smiled slightly "Thanks Bow"

Glimmer looked between you and Bow before smirking and teleporting away. She appeared a few seconds later with three boxes of ice-cream and three spoons

She handed one to you and smiled "Ice-cream always fixes everything. I wanted to get sprinkles too but someone had eaten them all..." She looked sideways at Bow who just smiled awkwardly

You looked at the spoon and smiled "Thanks Sparkles"

"Ugh don't call me that"

You laughed softly "Not a chance princess"

Catra POV:

Shadow Weaver was unbearable lately

She was obsessed with bringing back Adora and now that she saw some things that Y/n could do, she wanted to get her too. Before she wasn't really fixed on to it but now...

Catra was being tortured by Shadow Weaver more than usual recently. She tried fighting her but she would always trick her somehow and Catra would lose which only made it that much more painful

The funny thing was when Hordak threatened to take her position if she didn't stop with this bullshit

And who told him? Catra obviously

She was sick and tired of that bitch

"Hey Catra!"

Catra hissed at the person before she recognized them as Scorpia. Her tail relaxed and she sighed

"Hey Scorpia"

"Still on edge because of Shadow Weaver?"

Catra just nodded and crossed her arms, her tail swinging back and forth behind her. Scorpia put her pincers on her shoulders with a big grin

"Hey I'm sure it will be fine she just needs to...uh...relax! Yeah, yeah that's it"

Catra rolled her eyes "Really Scorpia? This is Shadow Weaver we are talking about!" She whisper shouted as not to be heard

"Catra"

Catra froze before turning around. She felt her heart speed up but she kept her cool facade on as Shadow Weaver walked up to her

"Come with me"

Scorpia shared a look with Catra as she trailed off behind the sorceress. Catra had gotten lost in thought until they finally reached the chamber

Scorpia was waiting for her outside the door just in case. She was so worried for her friend, this was happening too frequently by this point

Catra finally exited the room, her hands formed into fists "We are leaving the Horde. Today"

Bow POV:

The dinner was silent

Nobody uttered a word and Bow was starting to get worried. How were they supposed to fix their problems without talking them out first?

Bow looked at Y/n and nudged her side, tilting his head towards Angella

Y/n sighed and put the fork down, her hands in front of her before she said "I'm sorry for..." She cleared her throat "What I said earlier"

Angella mirrored Y/n's stance and looked at her expectedly "I accept your apology. For now"

Bow watched as Y/n relaxed a little just as Angella spoke again "But you will need to do something for me"

Y/n blinked "And that would be?"

Bow shared a wide look with Glimmer. This wasn't going so well after all

"I want you to come with me to the garden. Tonight at midnight"

Bow was confused and so was everyone else. Why would the queen even ask that? Glimmer looked even more confused if that was possible

"Ok, I will"

Angella picked up her fork again "Oh and wear something light tonight, it will be warm"

Your POV:

You had no idea why Angella had asked you to go to the garden with her

You looked over at your closet in a panic. There. Were. Only. Fucking. Dresses

DRESSES

You groaned loudly "Nooooo" you looked at the door "GLIMMMEEEER!!!"

She teleported in the room "What?!"

"Why is my closet full of dresses"

She shrugged and went to your side, looking inside of the closet herself

"I really don't know"

You groaned again and looked at her pleadingly, your eyes wide as you put your hands in front of you "Pleeease let me borrow something from you"

She grinned and looked up in amusement, an idea forming into her mind "Sure" she grabbed your hand and teleported you two away and into her room

Glimmer looked around the room and grabbed a blue shirt along with some dark blue pants and a golden belt

She handed them to you and you lifted an eyebrow. She smirked "Hey don't look at me like that, the outfit is awesome!"

You nodded "Uh huh. Sure" you grinned "Thanks tho, you are a life saviour"

She chuckled "Yeah what would we do if the great Y/n was to ever wear dresses. Sooo unheard of"

You nodded and smiled brightly "Obviously. Who do I look like? Barbie?"

She frowned "Barbie?"

"Uhhh....nothing"

She shugged "Anyways you have two more minutes until midnight so I suggest you hurry up"

Your eyes widened and you looked up at the clock "Oh shit" You started looking around in a slight panic before she pointed at somewhere in the corner

"You can change there, I won't look"

"We both know that's a lie"

Glimmer glared but her cheeks reddened a lot which only made you grin wider as the princess pushed you towards the said area "Just do it"

You did as she said and didn't look back to see if she was peeking trough. She probably was, the burning sensation on your back said so too

You turned around and crossed your arms with a smirk "Glimmeeeeer" you walked towards her and leaned in just a bit, her face starting to redden even more "I know you looked"

"Oh shut up" she mumbled and teleported away, leaving you to laugh by yourself

"Why are you laughing?" Angella frowned and you suddenly stopped, looking back at her

You smiled nervously "Would you believe me if I said time and space weren't working right?"

She only tilted her head and you sighed in defeat. You waved your hand dismissingly and mumbled "Nevermind"

"Why did you bring me out here?"

Angella looked at the fountain in the middle of the garden as she sighed "I wanted to talk to you. I rethought our argument yesterday and it made me think about something"

"I'm sorry for what I said yesterday. I was a bit too harsh and you didn't deserve that" you mumbled, not daring to look at her expression

"I was hurt I won't lie, but I understand why you did it. Glimmer told me. I'm sorry you had to see your kingdom burned to the ground, that's mainly why I never allowed you to go and see it for yourself. It let me realize some of my own mistakes as well, so I guess I have you to thank for that"

You glanced over at Angella as she spoke "But that's not why I brought you here. I wanted to tell you something, about your mother"

Your blinked. Did you mishear her? "What?"

She smiled at you and grabbed your hand, leading you to sit down on a bench beside the fountain. You could see the different flowers, trees and bushes from here. It looked truly mesmerising at night

"We were friends once" she looked away and rubbed her arms, her gaze seemingly lost in her thoughts "But then the Horde attacked and they took her away from m- uh her kingdom"

You frowned. Was she gonna say me? Your eyes widened slightly as a possibility came to mind. Ok this was interesting and you were living for it

Angella cleared her throat "The day before the Horde attacked she told me about a place in the heart of the Whispering Woods. She said she went there, but she wouldn't say why"

"Do you have anything in mind? Do you know?"

She shook her head solemnly "No, no I do not but I saw her store supplies for the past couple of month there, never really saying why. Also some of her people had disappeared but she didn't seem concerned which was really unusual for her. If someone got lost she would send a search party for them immediately so you can see my confusion"

You nodded and leaned back against the wood. This was taking a turn

"As I said I'm not entirely sure myself but I needed to discuss it with you" she looked at you and smiled warmly "She was my dearest friend, even before Micah, and I'm thankful I had the blessing to know her. You are so much like her Y/n"

You felt tears pooling at the edges of your vision but you pushed them away and looked at the rose bushes in the distance instead

"I'm sorry for everything that had happened lately, especially with Entraptas death and your Adora. I just want you to know that if you need someone to talk to, I'm here"

She put a gentle hand on your shoulder and that did it. You broke. You started crying and sobbing while Angella just hugged you gently, offering her comfort

She didn't make you talk or explain yourself, she just stood there in silence which was more than you could have ever asked for

And eventually, you told her everything. About how you sometimes missed the Horde, about how you were worried about Adora, about Catra and Entrapta, about Shadow Weavers mind games and manipulation, about your kingdom and these confusing feelings that just wouldn't go away

You told her everything that was on your mind

"I just want everything to be back to normal. I want my kingdom back, my mother, Adora and Catra, my friends and the simpleness that used to be there every day, but it's gone now. I don't know how to deal with this, with this responsibility on my shoulders. It feels like whatever I try, I will fail"

You kept ranting and Angella looked at you, she understood. She understood the pressure, the sorrow and everything in general that you told her about

When you were finally done she wiped the tears away and softly said "I'm sorry you have to go trough this Y/n, but no matter what I do this is what life is. It could be painful, but it's also beautiful if you allow it to be"

"And how do I do that?" You whispered in her shoulder and she just smiled

"By not dwelling in the pain. You can't change it. Instead look at the good. How many people you have met along the way, friends and more who stay by your side which is truly a gift to hold on to"

She grabbed your shoulders and pulled you away slightly so you could look in her eyes "Spend time with them and figure out what to do. One day, things will fall in place"

"And what until then?"

"You keep fighting and creating memories along the way" she chuckled "What about Adora and Catra?"

You frowned "What about them?"

She shook her head, trying to chase her smile away "Nothing" she looked up and sighed calmly "I will let you go now. You need to get some sleep, I'm sorry for keeping you up so late"

You waved a hand "Nah don't worry about you" you bit your lip and looked back at her "Thank you"

"You don't have to thank me. Thank you Y/n, for helping me realize my own ways"

"How had anything that I said yesterday done anything?"

"Not yesterday, but with your time in the castle" she waved a hand towards you "Go"

Ok but like Angella as a mother figure is just wholesome
