Catra had decided to head out and go to the kitchen to "steal food" but said that she won't be returning for the next hour or so

So you went to grab the playing deck off the table and sat back down in your made up fortress with two blankets and a stick before handing them to Adora to shuffle

"Good thing Bow knows how to play" Adora mumbled, a sly grin appearing on her face as she remembered the memory, her gaze still focused on the deck

"I know right? Who would have thought it would be him out of all people"

Adora handed you the cards and you frowned. So much for winning, this was a shit bet. Like, the universe couldn't have given you worse cards than these. They were like the worst ones that no one wanted. I think you get the point by now

You watched Adora carefully for any indication about what cards she had gotten. She had a good poker face you had to admit, but it was all written out in her body language

She leaned forward slightly, her fingers lightly almost mindlessly rubbing against her arm as she looked quizingly over at them, the look you recognized when something was up and she couldn't figure out what her next move should be

"You don't have good cards do you?" You raised an eyebrow at the blonde, eyebrows slightly tense as you awaited her response

"Not telling"

"Oh come on pleeease"

"Y/n that's not how you play and you know it"

You sighed "Ok fine sorry"

You started the game soon and you were practically defeated from her first move. It took a total of 30 seconds before Adora slammed the cards on the bed, a big grin on her face

"I win!"

"Yeah yeah only because I have a shit load of cards otherwise you would be dead by now"

Adora snored and crossed her arms, her victorious face still holding on strongly "I still win tho"

You glared at Adora, pouting a bit without even realising it which made her laugh "Aww you're cute when you are mad"

"Come on princess you know you don't mind"

You rolled your eyes at her cockiness and stuck your tongue out "Whatever"

Adora chuckled and took your wrists, tucking you towards her to smirk in your face "Don't be mad darling"

"That's my line"

"It's mine now" she lowered her voice, her smirk stretching into a grin and you could feel her getting even more riled up "Deal with it"

"I want a rematch it totally wasn't fair" You pursed your lips and tried to make your point known by pointing to her chest and poking her with a grin on your own. Who knew this could be so fun "And I will win"

"You're such a sore looser it's adorable"

"Wha- take that back" You narrowed your eyes, still keeping the playful glint in your eyes as you motioned with your head towards her

"Like I would"

"Yes, you would or I will make you Adora"

You didn't even register your words after they slipped past your mouth, your voice  stern as you locked eyes and tried to come on top of the argument. Was it even an argument anymore?

"I-"

Adora didn't respond. You wondered why

You were about to ask why she wasn't talking until you saw her look down, only then did you follow her gaze to see that in the heat of the moment you had somehow gotten on top of her, pressing her wrists down against the soft bed

You blinked but still didn't move. Did you even want to? Not really if you were being honest... "Cat got your tongue?"

Ok that made her snore "You mean it litterly or? Because the first thing I have in mind is Catra"

You laughed "Of course it's gonna be her. But no, talk for god's sake damn you"

Adora rolled her eyes and twisted one of your hands, getting her left wrist free and wrapped it around your neck. The heck "Ok what do you want to talk about, I can talk about a lot of things"

"I-you-what-"

You were cut off by another laugh that came from the blondie and she looked into your eyes and smiled "You really are cute when you are flustered"

You groaned lowly and sighed "Why does everyone keep saying that"

"Because it's true dumbass"

"God look in the mirror"

You laughed wholeheartedly at your joke and noticed Adora staring. You blinked as the laugh died down in your throat, replaced by something you couldn't identify "What?"

Adora wasn't aware that she had began to run her finger on your neck which only made you blush "I just..."

You looked at her eyes intently, waiting "Hm? Yes?"

She tucked a strand of hair behind your ear and smiled fondly at you, her eyes soft and loving and...wait WHAt

Nonono surely it's something else this can't be she can't...she won't love you

Not that you love her but it's just that you...I mean...uh..you...like...AAAA

"Nothing"

You froze when she wiggled her hips and just now seemed to realize something "Stop doing that"

Aw she smirked "Why?" She did it again

You half heartedly glared "Adora"

She grinned and went closer, her lips brushing against your ear "What princess? You will throw me out of the window?"

You closed your eyes and took a sharp breath in. This wasn't going according to plan. Not at all. And worse of all you liked it. Really fucking much

"Yes" you mumbled and opened your eyes, looking at her blue ones as yours started to glow. They seemed to do that a lot around Adora and Catra

"Too bad I won't let you. I'm She-ra" she chuckled breathlessly, her cheeks slightly red even in the dim light which only made you think...did she feel the same thing? The same way your skin seemed to tingle every time you looked at each other

You leaned forward and looked at her lips. Your couldn't help it "And I'm the princess of magic"

She rolled her eyes with a slight smile on her lips and whispered "Even better"

What you weren't expecting was for her to bring you closer and...kiss you...

You weren't even frozen, you responded immediately by returning the kiss and relaxing in her arms. It felt so natural and good at the same time it was confusing

What were you now that you...you know... Kissed? Friends with benefits or?

You pushed the thoughts away. There was time for them later. Now, it's was Adora with her lips on yours

It was almost addictive actually. Adora tilted your chin and flipped you over, pinning your hands on the mattress herself. She bit your lips requesting for entrance which you allowed and deepened the kiss even more

You let Adora lead. For now

"Your lips are warm..." You whispered against hers and she went to kiss your jaw, leaving slight red marks on it

Adora grinned into the kiss "Yours too...so much"

She trailed her kisses down to your neck and sucked where your heartbeat was at, gently biting in with her teeth as not to hurt you. It was cute how she was so gentle even now yet not at the same time, always worried for everyone's safety

"Don't hold back...I trust you" You mumbled and smiled before kissing her on the lips before she went to your collarbone

You dug your hands on the back of her shirt and trailed them over the edge, teasing her before they slipped under the fabric and onto her bare skin. Adora had some real nice abs you had to admit. Your fingers glided over the surface and she shivered just barely, making you grin  in victory

"Tell me if you want to stop" She looked up, her eyes concerned even now

You smiled and kissed her temple "I will. Promise"

"Good" was all she said before she kissed you on the lips once more

It was so...you couldn't even place it. As Adora trailed her kisses lower down to your stomach and she lifted your shirt eagerly after asking for permission obviously you couldn't help but moan softly under the touch. The whole thing was...perfect in a way. Like it was always meant to be

You dug your fingers in the back of her shirt, and tucked, ripping it off to shreds. Adora widened her eyes for a bit before looking at you "That was hot"

You snickered softly "You are such a dork. I knew you would find it hot"

"My pants are next"

"Deal"

It went on for a while, never seeming to be enough. The thing was slow, with a lot of teasing from both sides which made it that much more enjoyable

You flipped Adora over and smirked before sucking at her neck, your hands trailing over the edge of her waistband suggestively. She could only hum, or moan it out more like it, which to be honest made you that much more satisfied. It was you who did it. No one else

But before you could go any further the bloody door opened, Glimmer walking inside

"Wha- OH MY ETHERIA NO" She yelled and slammed the door shut for once, her retreating footsteps echoing down the hall

You looked down at your...friend? Lover? And raised an eyebrow "Should we..." You gestured between you two and Adora only shrugged

"Don't see why not"

Even if her face was redder than a tomato she still looked adorable. It was truly the best thing ever

At least for the night the whole teleporting thing left you alone, leaving you to enjoy a night on your own

(Time skip)

Adora POV:

Adora glanced over at you seeing as you were fast to fall asleep thankfully

But Adora didn't feel Iike sleeping. She wanted to treasure every second of this moment. She played with your hair, brushing her fingers through it seeing as you had put your head under her chin

The cuddling was nice even after...whatever this had been. It was intense she had to admit. Better than she had imagined during all these years

She had already kissed Catra too but...what would that mean for their relationship after all of this was over?

As Adora struggled with her spiraling mind she felt you shift underneath her and open one eye, staring into her blue eyes

"Why aren't you sleeping?" Y/n mumbled sleepishly and it was the cutest thing Adora had heard. She tried not to giggle and instead tucked a strand of hair behind your ear

"Can't sleep" she mumbled softly as not to disturb Y/n too much and hoped you would just fall back asleep

"Come cuddle with me then"

Her voice was just the cutest Adora couldn't stress that enough. She smiled as Y/n made a grabby motion with her hands and pulled Adora closer to her chest

"Hold me closer" Adora mumbled sleepishly and smiled slightly as she felt Y/n tighten her grip ever so slightly, just perfect

Adora had her back pressed against her and she adjusted her head on the pillow. Y/n wrapped a hand around her and brought her closer almost protectively, making her heart skip a beat

She's. So. Cute

And lovely, and adorable, and hot, and smart, and amazing, and cute, and amazingly good looking and funny and... perfect

Y/n was just that. Perfect

Even with her problems it just made her that much better. Her imperfections were perfect, completing her. Making Y/n real. Adora though that she probably would be kind of annoying if Y/n was "perfect" like society wanted, she supposed

But she already was. She and Catra were the best thing that had happened to her her whole life and Adora was going to fight for that until her last breath. That night she made a promise to herself. Anything for them. Anything for Y/n and Catra

Y/n put her right leg between hers and snuggled closer, her head pressed against Adora's neck, her breathing even and it soothed Adora enough until she felt her eyes drip, taking her under the embrace of a long awaited peaceful sleep
