You placed in front of the metal door. Not only were you skipping training to come talk to her, you were probably gonna die as well

"Y/n! Why aren't you in training we have been looking all over for you" Adora walked in

"What" you turned around

Oh shit they have come. You started to feel guilty. The only reason they were gonna get in trouble was because of you

"Why are you here, you're supposed to be training"

"How the hell do you expect us to stay in this wretched place when our best friend could be potentially hurt or dead?" Catra crossed her arms as her ears twitched slightly

"Look I'm sorry I got you worried BUT I HAVE BEEN AWAY BEFORE AND YOU NEVER CAME AFTER ME! What changed?"

These two exchanged a look before Adora played with her fingers "Uh- well we- I mean I-"

"It's just how you have been acting resently" Catra mumbled and looked away to stare at the wall behind you

"Yeah everything is perfect" Adora smiled but frowned "Right?"

"Yeah..." You agreed

You gasped when you saw Shadow Weaver circle against the Black Garnet

You watched the crystal and an unexplainable feeling came over you. It was like you could feel the crystal and the shadows around it, you felt the misery it was in, the way it wanted to be with its rightful owner and not this monster who used the power for her own self gain and mind tricks

"I see you have finally remembered" She turned around "Then I must seal them again but don't worry, you won't remember a thing later"

You took a step back. You were suddenly over her lifeless body with your hand glowing

You gasped and stumbled back, your foot catching on a wire that made you fall down. You started breathing rapidly and you knew you were gonna have a panic attack

You quickly exited the room and went back to your bunk. You took out a napkin you had stolen and began writing something for your friends

You couldn't stay here, not after this

"Y/n?"

You looked back to see Adora coming into the room with Catra following behind her

Tears blurred the edges of your vision but you forced them to retreat "I'm sorry I just..." Your body started to shake and you put a hand over your mouth to stop the sobs from being heard

Adora brushed a hand trough your hair while Catra went to close the door. She got back and wrapped her tail around your waist, keeping a bit of distance in order for you to breath

Nobody said anything, they just comforted you until you stopped feeling like you were suffocating and handed them the napkin

They read it intently and you watched their reaction. Adora gasped and Catra widened her eyes in disbelief

"I didn't know you had it in you" Catra smiled and put a hand on your shoulder "But yeah, we understand"

"And we will help you escape" Adora stroked the back of your neck "But promise to write letters ok?"

You snored and chuckled lightly as you once again felt mostly under control "I will try, but you have to keep them away from the shadow bitch"

Adora gasped "She might hear you"

"Bruh she's unconscious" you pointed out "But not for long. We have to get out of here"

The scene glitched and you looked as Catra was giving Adora a boost to jump up the vent. You looked around before you heard "Come on!"

You took Catra's hand and she picked you up. You were thrown into the vent and when you opened your eyes you looked over at her mismatched ones. You blushed "Shit s-sorry" you stuttered almost unnoticeably and rolled away from her only to find yourself on Adora "Sorry"

You rolled away and finally sat up, releasing a breath that had been stuck. God it was nice to breath again

You prayed no one could see your burning cheeks "This way"

Adora POV:

Adora took a deep breath in and out. Was this what people felt when they had a heart attack?

She was sure her heart had stopped for a moment

"This way" she pointed to the right and went in front to lead the group

She had to help her, no matter what. If she didn't, Shadow Weaver would have her head

She couldn't let one of her friends be tortured like this

People thought she didn't know how Shadow Weaver really was, but they were wrong. Really wrong. She had been forced to watch what she was doing to Catra and sometimes even Y/n, but she vowed to never let it happen again

She pushed down the door and it fell on the ground with a loud thud. That's when the alarm started going off

"Great. Just great" She heard Catra mumble behind her

"Oh we are screwed" Y/n said and hit her forehead

She jumped down and the other two followed behind her "Uh, I think I got lost"

Catra POV:

"WHAT?" she raised her hands in disbelief

"Oh no, wait I recognize this. This way!" Adora pointed and started running

Catra sighed and followed after her

She looked back at Y/n who didn't have any trouble keeping up. They have done this plenty already after all

Wow she looked amazing when she ran...

Her tail brushed slightly against her leg and she remembered the time in the vents. It had ended too soon for her liking

Oh, right. We had to get her out of here

Was it only her or did Adora look stunning on every lighting too?

Ok she had to get her head in the game

Adora dealed in a code just when they heard footsteps approaching. This stupid alarm hurt her ears

The door opened and they slipped in just when the guards ran up to them. The door closed quickly and the next one opened suite. They repeated the process a couple more times before they were finally out

Ok, the hard part was over now

Adora hugged Y/n, a final goodbye and Catra did the same, squeezing her like she was gonna dissapear

And she was in a way

"I'm gonna miss you" Y/n mumbled and Catra wiped away a tear that had slipped

She never cried "We will see each other soon I promise" Adora smiled and hugged her once again

"Stay safe" Catra mumbled and she felt her ears go flat against her head

Her ear suddenly twitched as she heard the doors open behind her "Quick they are coming!" She yelled and pushed her forward

"Fine" she looked back "Bye" Catra heard her whisper, a heartbroken sound that made her heart squeeze as something pierced her chest

She wasn't going to cry. She wasn't

"Goodbye Y/n" she whispered at her retreating form and looked back at Adora who was crying

She put a hand over her shoulders and hugged her. They stepped into the shadows just as the door opened and Adora was forced to muffle her sobs

Together, just the two of them now, snuck back in

None of them knew what they were gonna do but one thing was clear, their hearts weren't gonna be the same

Ok so like sad but not so sad chap. Hey you escaped the Horde! Congrats 🎉

The sad thing is that Catra will be alone again
