Chapter twenty
A/n: wait, people still read this?! I GOT THIRTY ONE READS IN THE LAST CHAPTER IN ONE DAY, LET'S GOOOOOOOO
Anyways,
TRIGGER WARNING!!!!: Death of a..not really an animal, but I guess a creature?
"Should we be worried about Bryce?" Janus asked.
"Uh...no? We don't worry for anyone" Remus chuckled. He scooted closer to Janus and put his face close to his. Seductively, he whispered, "except each other" and kissed him.
"Jesus Christ, CONSENT?" Janus yelled.
"...We, just a few short days ago raped a young, unsuspecting person, and you want to talk to me about consent?" Remus asked, "also, do you even know me?" He asked.
Janus sighed. Those were fair points. "Okay, okay, we're getting off topic. About Bryce, I meant, we only let him enter the group, say, just a few months after school started up. He's always seemed timid and hesitant about bullying, stealing, and our..other activities. He seems a little..suspicious."
"Well, remember how we were when we first started?" Remus chuckled, "we could barely even take a penny from our parent's wallets without sobbing from the guilt of it. He'll be fine. He would never rat us out, because he knows he'd be in just as much trouble. And do you know how manipulative we are?! We could just peg the whole thing on him!"
"I suppose you're right. But, we have a long history of crime"
"So? The Police had no idea it was us when we faked our identities five years ago..and we've been very careful since then. So, as far as the police know..this is our first punishable crime" Remus smirked.
"Well, besides all of the shoplifting" Janus sighed, eyes rolling.
"Oh..yeah"
"Bryce hasn't proven himself yet. We need him to do something..horrible"
"Ohhh, yeah...but what?"
Janus smirked, "I have..an idea."

Virgil woke up in a panicked sweat, looking around his-wait this..wasn't his room.
He gasped, falling out of his-the bed.
He started panicking, tears blurrinh his vision.
'Not again not again not again' he thought, suddenly feeling cold-he was shivering-he was scared.
Logan woke up, wiping his eyes in exhaustion.
He looked over beside him, noticing Virgil wasn't there.
He looked beside his bed and saw Virgil crying on the floor.
"V-Virgil?" He asked skeptically.
Virgil gasped, jumping up onto the bed, clinging to Logan.
"Ah! Uh-hello-I mean-good morning"
"Uh-PATTON!" Logan yelled, drawing the attention of Patton and Roman.
They rushed in to see Logan holding a crying Virgil.
Logan was blushing, his heart going a mile a minute.
"Hey hey hey!" Pattton said, grabbing Virgil's hand, who pulled away, clinging to Logan.
Virgil eventually calmed down, signing to them how he had thought Janus and Remus had kidnapped him again because he hadn't recognized the room.
"Awee, Virgy..it's okay" Patton said
Virgil breathed in, following Logan's breath, and eventually calmed down.
"Well this was a nice way to start the morning" Roman joked.
Virgil smiled awkwardly, and Logan thought he looked..perfect in that moment.
"They've kidnapped you???" Roman asked.
'I mean yeah but no big deal' he signed quickly.
"Well, might as well get ready for school!" Patton exclaimed in cheer, trying to get Virgil out of his awkward situation, knowing that it was too early to talk about trauma.
Totally later though.
"Ugh, it's too early for this!" Roman groaned.
"Oh, come on, we need to help Virgie get his class changed anyways!" He giggled.
"Oh, alright" Roman smiled, immediately falling under the trance of Patton's giggle.
"We have ten minutes."
"TEN MINUTES?!" Roman screamed at Logan, shooting up to get his outfit.
Patton chuckled, "Logie, we have thirty minutes.
Logan smirked, "I know."

Bryce e growled, kicking a stone. He was just as good of a bad person as they were. And they treat him like he's never done anything wrong in his lif-
Bryce paused. There was a snail on a rock, fallen to its side. It couldn't get up. Bryce knew that the snail would be burned to death under the glare of the sun.
He picked the snail up, and put it upright on the grass, in a nice, moist and shady spot near a tree.
He smiled, watching the snail relish in the shade.
Then he kicked himself. Remus and Janus would have got a match and lit the thing on fire. They would have broke it's shell and smashed the creature to pieces and cut it with that shell.
Then, if it miraculously survived, they would've buried it alive, alone, to suffer until it either died from its injuries, suffocation, or starvation.
Bryce sighed. He had to prove himself worthy..but, he couldn't just kill the creature. Plus, Remus and Janus weren't even here to see the deed..so he assumed it was fine..to let it live.
All of a sudden, Remus came bouning over with Janus.
He aggressively stomped on the snail, killing it instantly.
Bryce looked up with a look of pure horror on his face.
"Whoops. Didn't see that there" Remus shrugged. He picked it up and popped it into his mouth as if it was a gummy bear. "Ooh, crunchy" he smiled.
Bryce tried to hide his disgusted face, wondering how he'd gotten mixed up in this.

The four entered the school, (Roman acting a bit salty because of Logan's prank) and went to the counselors office.
"Hello? Ma'am, we need a class change" Roman explained, flashing his charming white smile.
"All..of you?" She asked, pointing her pen at them.
"Oh, no..just him" he said pointing at Virgil.
She scoffed, "typical high schoolers. Your friend goes somewhere and suddenly everyone has to follow."
"What?! No! We just-"
"Hush. Now, is there a reason he couldn't come alone?" She questioned, looking at Virgil judgingly.
He cowered in fear.
"Margret!" The other school counselor yelled in disapproval, "the reason is unimportant, your job is not to know the reason, it's to help the kids!" She walked over, "Now, hon whats your last name?"
"Oh, shoot! I brought ya'll to my counselor not, Virgil's, sorry" Roman said sheepishly.
"Oh, you're right! Oh, it's fine, i'm sure you kids don't want grouchy old Margret" she joked, "and since i'm the only other counselor, I suppose i'm yours...is just over here, let's go" she smiled.
"Okay. Now, the issue? In need of a class change, I overheard."
"Yes, ma'am!" Patton smiled, "Virgil here, needs his public speaking class changed to an astronomy class, he was accidentally put into public speaking."
"Oh, alright! I'll check the system for any open astronomy classes that'll accept another kid.."
She searched a few times, and frowned, "it seems that all of the astronomy classes are full."
"..kids these days, really like stars" she smiled, trying to lighten the mood
"You know..public speaking isn't all that bad.." she smiled, "it's not just this class where you talk all the time. You do group projects about ted talks, you analyze other great public speakers, and you can still pass the class without talking! I'd just send you with a note, explaining that you can't talk, and it'll all be okay."
"Wait how did you know-"
"Oh, I can hear your conversations as you pass by every morning..I ear all conversations.." she shivered.
"But, if you really want a change, i'll print out a paper for you to review, and you can tell me which classes you like best, and I can help you choose one that will fit all of your needs for the career path you choose to go down."
Virgil smiled. That sounded good. He nodded, giving her a thumbs up.
"Okay, come back tomorrow morning and we can review the paper. For now, why not give public speaking another try?"
Her warm, caring smile convinced him. He agreed to give the class another try, and then they all managed to make it to class before the tardy bell after they bid her goodbye.
