Tuesday was here. Legend was meeting with Derek for the first time ...on purpose. They had unofficially met twice.

Legend was nervous. He didn't know what to do with his hands so they were in his pockets. Dom led the way to Derek's floor and down the hall to his room.

Derek sat at his desk again, writing. He looked like he was on a roll and they hated interrupting. Dom cleared his throat. Derek looked up and smiled...until his eyes landed on Legend.

"You guys made it." Derek smiled a small smile. He was curious about this guy and nervous. Skeptical.

Did this guy really love Moses? Would he be good to him? And most important, would he allow Derek to be in the band? It was a fear.

What if this guy took control of Moses and wouldn't allow Derek back in? What if things were weird or this guy hated him or didn't trust Moses? There were so many things that could happen. Endless what ifs filled his mind since he heard that Moses was serious about this guy.

Derek cleared his throat and put his pencil down. "I was writing a note of apology to my father....it's an assignment."

"Good. How are things?" Moses sat. Legend sat beside Dom. He didn't want to flaunt their relationship. It felt wrong, like it would hurt Derek, if he sat beside Moses and held his hand. Legend figured Derek wasn't ready to see Moses with him yet.

Derek was surprised. Legend didn't sit beside Moses or touch him or look at him. Most people would have made it a point that they were together. Legend was being cautious. Damn it. He was considerate.

"Well, Derek, this is Legend. I don't think you have officially met." Moses smiled at Legend. Derek saw it in Legend when he looked at Moses. There was a spark. A light. Their faces brightened.

Legend looked at Derek, the light faded. "Hi. I don't know what to say. I'm not sure why I'm here?"

Derek smiled. "I know. I wanted to meet you officially. I hope to get past the awkward stage so that I can get to know you. I heard you were going to be sticking around. Does that make sense?" He inhaled. He was nervous too.

Legend nodded. "I..."

"Let me start. If that is okay." Derek watched Legend nod. "Moses and I have known each other since we were kids. Our 'relationship' was terrible. I controlled it and he fought it the whole time. We just butted heads. We have talked. I saw joy in Moses's expressions when he talked about you. I never saw that before. Dating was always an inconvenience for him but you are different."

"Did you see the press conference?" Dom asked with a smile.

"Yes. Andrea made sure I had a copy!" Derek smiled. "It was so romantic!"

"We saw it in person!" Dave smiled.

"Legend, I didn't know that Moses could be romantic!" Derek smiled. "I was proud and I saw love. You love him too."

"I do." Legend nodded.

"I never did..." He saw Moses glared. "I loved you as a friend and bandmate but not real love. You know that!"

Moses nodded. "I do. I hope we can get back to that. I want to love you as a bandmate."

"Me too." Derek nodded. "So...how's the sex?"

The room was silent and Legend just started laughing. "Derek, I like you."

Derek smiled. "Thanks."

"Take your time." Legend smiled. "The sex is outstanding, by the way!"

"Good." Derek smiled. "I have a huge crush on this guy in here!"

Moses smiled. "Really?"

"Yes but he's here because he's a sex addict, so he is off limits!" Derek smiled.

"He would so cheat on you!" Legend chuckled with Derek. "But the sex would be mind blowing!"

"I know! I'm torn!" Derek laughed with Legend. "So, do you date often, Legend?"

Legend looked out the window. "I know the questions you want to ask or I think I do. I dated women only. I have never been in love and wasn't looking for it. I never dated anyone that I interviewed and I was always professional... until I met Moses."

He glared at his man and turned back to Derek. "I never gave much thought to being gay, one way or another. I have no prejudices for or against it."

"This with Moses began as a blackmail thing. I wanted an interview and Moses needed someone to spend the day with. It was a deal... that got weird." Legend sighed.

Moses smiled. "It was sexy!"

Legend smiled at Moses. "I know. I tried to leave and I... it didn't go well."

Moses jumped in and explained the breakup or the fake breakup that felt too real. Legend didn't have any idea what to call it.

They stayed way longer than Legend thought they would and he actually liked Derek. They were all being honest about their flaws and being that open was refreshing. Legend loved it. He hoped to build some kind of friendship with this guy.

"I also wanted to say that it was my idea that you take the keyboards while I'm here. Moses said he would only do that with recording...." Derek smiled.

"I just heard about that. I'm okay with that." Legend paused. "Derek, I don't want to take your place. I'm a writer, not a band member. I already have a job that I love." Legend smiled. "Although, I will be tweaking it a bit."

"Meaning..." Moses watched Legend.

"Well, I won't be spending weeks with them. I will meet them for interviews but I will be staying at hotels. I don't feel right staying with them now. I'm spoken for now." Legend smiled. "Things are changing and it doesn't feel right anymore. I have things to talk to my boss about. We have adjustments to make."

Moses just nodded. "Maybe I could join you on some of your trips...unless you would hate that?"

Legend gasped. "You would want to join me?"

"Yes! We could go shopping and sightsee. Together."

Legend smiled. "Moses! I would love that so much! When I went to Spain, I missed you so badly and just wanted you there. I didn't have a great time like I normally do. It sucked."

Moses nodded. "It was horrible here too."

Derek stared. "Is this normal?"

Dom and Dave both nodded. "Yes." They answered at the same time.

Moses looked away from Legend. "What?"

Dave smiled at Moses. "You two get into your own world and forget anyone else exists when you talk. Its sweet."

"Sorry! I forgot where we were. I'm sorry!" Moses didn't mean to do that, especially here.

"That keeps happening when I'm around Moses. Sorry, Derek." Legend inhaled.

Derek just laughed. "Moses, you have to keep him!" He smiled. He never saw Moses this happy. Was Moses ever happy? He knew he didn't make Moses happy. Now, he had his happiness to find.

Staying with the band was a start. Being honest with himself and his father was a beginning and building a relationship with his father was helping too. He did feel better these days but he was still in rehab. He was scared of the real world. Scared to go back to where he was because he knew he would die.
