Collapse Survivors
"Heading Out, Mama?" Blueberror was at the door, stretching for a run. Sprinkle tried not to fidgit nervously and think about him leaving them forever. (Well, There Are A Lot Of Survivors Out There, Looking For Assistance. I Like To Help Around!") "We-ll, Th-ere-re Ar-e A Lo-ot O-f Sur-urvi-ivors O-ut Th-ere, Lo-ok-ing F-or-or Ass-ssis-sta-ance. I Li-ke T-To Hel-elp Aro-und!" Blueberror explained as he turned to his oldest, but he recognized that look. It was the look of a lost child, desperate not to lose a parent. He'd seen it in a few collapse survivors. ("Would You Like To Come With?") "Wou-ld Y-ou Li-ike To C-om-ome Wi-th?" Sprinkle perked up. "YES, PLEASE!!!" He paused a second. "Can Fury Come Too?" Blueberror nodded quickly. ("Go Ahead, Get Him.") "G-o A-he-ead, G-et Hi-im." Blueberror went to finish stretching while Sprinkle took off to the bedroom where Fury was playing around with a small attack. "FURY, COME ON, THERE'S NO TIME!" He grabbed his brother's hand, making Fury sputter as he was dragged off. "w-where are we going?!" Spinkle's eyelights glittered with excitement. "To Help AU Collapse Survivors With Mom!" Fury didn't say anything. Not with that look.

Stretch and Dust watched from the kitchen doorway as Blueberror placed a child on either shoulder before running off with a glitched "MWEH HEH HEH!!!" Dust looked wearily at Stretch. The taller returned the look, tenfold. "i'm not gonna tell him if you don't." Dust finally said. "blueberror has enough on his plate without losing his kids again." Stretch grunted. "he ain't gonna lose them. it's you i don't trust." Stretch went over to the couch. "i dunno what he sees in you. blueberry's always been a bleeding heart. it's what makes him so cool, but what gets him into these... situations." Dust followed after him. "blueberror and blueberry may be the same person, but they also aren't. blueberror's been betrayed and forgotten. he knows when to trust someone and when not to. that's your problem, stretch. you're trying to see him for someone he no longer can be. there's no reversing his condition." Dust pointed out to Stretch. Before Stretch could argue back, Dust was gone, vanishing into a shortcut so Stretch could mull it over rather than get upset at him over a truth he couldn't accept.

Blueberror and the boys each carried a box into an apartment building, trying to move in a new collapse survivor. Fury had been listening intently for the stories the survivors told, listening to the horrors of what Nightmare and his Gang did... what Error did. Yet, they weren't afraid of his mama. A little weary at first, definitely, but not scared. Not the way he was. How did they do it? How did they know they could trust Blueberror? He sighed and grabbed another box to bring in. "What a fright... Why is that thing still here? There are children here..." The voice caught Fury's attention as he looked at a couple gossiping monsters. Their gazes were locked onto his mom. "My son saw that thing once. Poor child has been having nightmares since." The second monster replied, and Fury felt something unfamiliar bubble up in his soul. "hey. that's my mom you're talking about." Why..? "if you're just gonna stand around, talking shit about people, you can help with these boxes, too." Why did he feel defensive over the very person he feared himself? Both monsters jumped as Fury marched over with purpose and shoved a box in one of their hand before grabbing another and shoving it into the other's. "now move!" He took up his own box as he led the way, confused.
