Fighting

Kirstin widened her eyes as Kevin looked at them, confused. Tris came into the room and sighed heavily. She knows what she has to do now.

"I have to take Kevin to the Senior Living Facility," Tris admitted, taking out her phone. Mitch stood up and took it from her, causing her to glare at him. "What the heck?"

"He is n-no-ot le-ea-eav-ving," Mitch defended, setting down the phone. Tris crossed her arms and glared even more. "I re-re-fuse to let t-th-tha-at ha-app-pen."

"What will you do about it?" Tris asked, going to her phone. She then smirked, revealing her true self. "Are you upset that another person could be leaving you?"

Mitch gasped silently as the tears began to roll down his cheeks. Kevin tilted his head, wondering why the young man was crying. Scott stood up, glaring at the caretaker and was about to say a few words himself but was interrupted by a coughing attack. He wheezed in between, desperately gasping. Kirstin sat him down, hoping to calm down the coughing. He finished with tears gathering in his eyes and wheezing a bit. Kirstin glared at the caretaker and stood up, going up to Mitch and hugging him.

"You have the nerve to be rude to my brother?" Kirstin asked angrily, her hazel eyes burning with hatred. Tris shrugged her shoulders, not seeming to be affected. "You are not allowed to do that or take my dad away. I want a new caretaker."

"But you won't be able to kiss me anymore."

Tris then smiled sweetly as Kirstin widened her own eyes and tried to avoid Scott and Mitch's stares. She tried to speak, but nothing came out. Tris then got her phone and dialed a random number. After a few rings, the secretary at the Senior Living Facility picked up.

"Pine Woods Senior Residency? It's me, Beatrice Prior. I'm bringing a new patient there. His name is Kevin Olusola."

The siblings went to the Kirk household, deep in their thoughts. They got interrupted by Scott's cough and looked at each other sadly.

"Why did I ever kiss her?" Kirstin asked, shaking her head. "I can't believe I did that. Ariana is going to hate me."

"Just tell her," Scott suggested, feeling another cough getting ready to start. "My surgery is next week."

"Are you sc-sc-ared?" Mitch asked, his own surgery coming into mind. Scott shook his head and coughed heavily. "How? I'll be sc-sc-ared out of my mi-mi-ind."

"I'm not scared because I know nothing will happen," Scott promised, praying that will actually be real. "I can't believe Dad forgot us."

Kirstin and Mitch nodded sadly, their hearts heavy for Kevin. He lost the love of his life. They prayed that he will remembered Avi. They would rather have Kevin forget who they are than having forget who Avi was. Mitch then felt Avi's presence and he tensed a little bit.

I love your father so much. He will be okay. He is losing his memory fast, but he will be okay. He will always love you three.

Ariana smiled when Kirstin walked in, exhausted by today's events. Lilliana glared a bit at her mother and enemy upstairs, refusing to acknowledge her. After hearing about Tris and Kirstin kissing, Lilliana lost all her trust for her mom and she secretly hoped that Ariana does the same.

"She's been secretive for a while," Ariana pointed as she hugged Kirstin. They shared a quick kiss and separated from each other. "I'm so sorry about Kevin and Scott, Sunshine. I hope that Kevin remembers you and that the cancer goes away after Scott's surgery. Oh, I am making tacos for din-."

"Snowflake, we need to talk."

Ariana nodded as she examined Kirstin's body. Her wife seemed tired and looked like she was hiding something she wasn't allowed to tell people.

"I...I," Kirstin began, struggling to get the words out. Ariana nodded, getting impatient. Kirstin then got quiet, not wanting to say anything. She was about to tell the truth when Lilliana said it for her.

"She kissed GrandPoppy Kevin's caretaker," their daughter admitted, glaring at Kirstin. Ariana shook her head as tears rolled down her cheeks. "Nice going, Mom."

Lilliana then left, leaving behind a crying Ariana and a shocked Kirstin. Kirstin tried to speak, but Ariana shook her head.

"Snowflake, I love you," Kirstin spoke up, beginning to tear up when Ariana shook her head and glared at her.

"If you loved me, you would have never kissed her. I don't know you anymore, Kirstin."

Mitch looked out of the window, sighing heavily. Avi never left his side and he could feel his father on the side of his bed.

"Papa?" Mitch asked, hoping Avi would answer.

Yes, son?

"W-wh-hy are you he-he-ere?"

Mitch hoped that none of the kirks walked by the door.

I have to complete a journey.

"Oh? That's c-co-ol."

Mitch laughed himself and he could have sworn he heard Avi's deep laugh. He bit his lip from crying in the middle of the night.

Yeah it is. Anyways, I am already in Heaven, but I have to complete one more thing before I leave you for a while.

"W-wh-hat is it?" Mitch questioned, hoping that it was a good one. What he heard caused him to finally release the tears and made him realize that his father would always be there.

For you to be happy.

"Scott Kirk?"

Scott stood up, Alex following him. The pre-operation appointment is today and they will learn to see how the surgery will work. The surgery is also a day away. They told Scott that the surgery will take place on his side and only take a couple hours. It will be an easy surgery.

It's funny how things could change so quickly.

"Hello, Scott. I'm Dr. Riley," the surgeon introduced. The tall blond waved and sat down on the bed, watching as Alex sat down on a chair. "Who is this?"

"That is Alex, my husband," Scott answered, smiling when Dr. Riley and Alex shook hands. "How is the surgery going to work out?"

The surgeon's bright smile disappeared into a somber frown, striking fear in Scott. Scott frowned himself and looked over at Alex, who seemed to be frightened.

"We made a few mistakes," Dr. Riley admitted, opening Scott's files. She sighed heavily as she admitted the truth. "The tumor is wrapped around some major nerves. It is around the nerves to your vocal cords and arm."

"What does that mean?" Scott asked nervously, feeling his heart beat faster. Alex wanted this entire thing to be a nightmare.

"It means that the surgery could take away your voice and/or your right arm," the surgeon replied, frowning when Alex began to tear up. Scott shook his head, wanting everything to work out. "The surgery will be in your chest now and is scheduled for the whole day."

Scott nodded, trying his best not to show his emotions. Alex let a tear escape, wanting his husband to be okay. If he lost his voice, he will have to do sign language. If he lost his right arm and voice, he will have to use his left arm to do sign language and learn how to write with it. Scott then had one thing pop into his head and sighed heavily, hoping for good news.

"Dr. Riley?" Scott asked, getting her attention. "What are my chances of survival?"

Dr. Riley looked down at the paper and looked back up after a few minutes. When Scott caught the sad look in her eyes, he knew that it could not be good. What she said made Alex begin to cry heavily and Scott praying that he will be okay.

"You have a 50% of surviving the surgery. I am so sorry, Scott."

A/N: Yes, I did almost lose my voice and my arm. Yes, I did have a 50% chance of surviving. Yes, I am still alive. Even though I have 50% of my voice, I am grateful that I am alive to sing in my choir and write for you all! Also, sorry that I didn't update last night! I was at the cast and crew party for the high school play and I didn't get home until 12:45 this morning, lol. Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed the chapter and please remember that I love you all so much.:)
