Cruel

Scott wanted to get out of the hospital. He has to get out. He doesn't care that he has a fever. He has been in the hospital for two days and they have to get their children now or they could...he didn't want think that way. Alex smiled at him softly, holding his hand gently.

"You look better. You could actually leave now," Alex told him softly, smiling when Scott cheered as loud as he can. "We just have to be careful, okay?"

Scott nodded as he sat up and got out of the bed, wanting to leave right now. They're finally a step closer to finding their children!

Mitch watched as Kirstin and Ariana talk back and forth about Lilliana's medicine and couldn't help but get angry. Sure, it's Lilliana's responsibility to tell her moms when she ran out of medicine, but in this case, it was their fault. They forgot to get it.

"Stop," Mitch demanded loudly, getting their attention. "It's your fa-fa-ults. Yes, Lilli sho-sho-uld have re-re-minded you, but she is not in the wr-wr-ong here. You two are."

"Why would you ever say that?" Kirstin asked angrily, glaring at Mitch. "You have no right to tell me how to do my parenting or when I'm at fault."

"Your chi-chi-ild has a dis-dis-or-or-der! She ne-ne-eds her meds," Mitch scolded, shaking his head. "You know bet-bet-ter than that!"

"I know what right and wrong are, Mitch! Don't tell me how to take care of my kid," Kirstin argued, her hazel eyes burning with hatred. "At least I told my kid that Dad died!"

Mitch froze at her words. Mark, Nash, and even Matthew's words of cruelty will never beat what Kirstin said. Ariana gasped as she looked at her wife, shaking her head in disbelief. Travis glared at his sister-in-law, his anger fueling up. Charlotte watched from the sidelines, wanting to hug poor Mitch. Kirstin coveted her mouth, standing up shakily.

"Mitch, I'm sorry. Please forgive me," Kirstin begged. Mitch shook his head as he ran out of the waiting room. "Mitch! I'm sorry."

"Why would you ever do that?" Ariana asked, shaking her head. "Kirstin, you're better than that. He's right. We should've been more responsible."

"He also has a disorder himself so I'm surprised that you didn't listen to him about the medicine," Travis told her angrily as he walked out of the room. "I can't stand you right now. I can't even look at you."

Kirstin tried to defend herself, but he couldn't find out what to say. She just hurt her relationship with her brother, all because he was pointing out a mistake she made. Charlotte stood up and rubbed her back, shaking her head slowly.

"You should apologize to him. He was just trying to help."

Kirstin nodded as she waved goodbye to her wife, sighing when Ariana didn't look at her. She walked out sadly, hating herself at the moment.

*Why did I do that? I'm the worst person ever.*

Mitch stayed in Travis' embrace, crying softy. He didn't understand why Kirstin would ever tell him that. Why was she so cruel? He pointed the Grandes out for their irresponsibility and Kirstin ended it by saying the most cruel thing ever. Travis kissed his forehead and hugged him tighter.

"I'm so sorry, baby," Travis whispered, looking up when he saw Alex and Scott walk up to them. He hushed them even though they're weren't talking. "You don't do anything wrong."

"What happened?" Scott asked, looking at Travis worriedly. "Is he okay?"

"Kirstin said something that was really low of her to say," Travis answered angrily while shaking his head. "I'll tell what she said later."

"I want to know it now," Scott replied, his voice breathy. Alex looked at him, hoping that his voice won't strain. "What did she say?"

"Lilliana didn't get her medicine for her disorder because Ariana and Kirstin forgot to get it. That's why she's been acting like this for a long time. Anyways, Mitch called them out for forgetting to do so and told them that they should've been more responsible. Kirstin got mad and told him to it tell her how to parent. He fought back and told her that Lilli needed her meds and that she knew better than forgetting about getting them and Kirstin ended the argument by saying that he had no right how to tell her how to take care of Lilliana and said that at least she told her kid that Avi died. Now we're here."

Scott shook his head angrily, wanting to give Kirstin a piece of his mind. He was about to run to the waiting room, be Alex stopped him. The older male shook his head as he looked at Mitch sadly.

"I think you need to stay with your brother. He needs you."

Scott nodded as he hugged his neither from behind, wanting his brother to be content. Not happy, just content.

Sara ran her hands through Lilliana's hair, looking at her sadly. She can't imagine how her cousin must feel. She must feel so guilty. She couldn't handle it though. She couldn't control what was going on.

"Sara? Is she okay?" McKenna asked, looking at Lilliana. The twelve year is fast asleep, the exhaustion evident on her face. "What happened to her?"

"She's been through a lot," Sara answered, looking at Matt. He nodded, wanting Lilliana to be okay. "She just needs some medicine right now to make better."

"Does she need cough syrup? Queen Daddy gives that to me when I have a cough. He doesn't get the cherry kind though. That kind is disgusting."

Matt laughed a bit, watching Lilliana as she got up. She rubbed her eyes, smiling at her cousins. She sat up, hugging McKenna close to her.

"Hi, beautiful," Lilliana greeted, kissing McKenna's spiky hair. "I'm sorry if I said anything mean to you. You're the most beautiful girl ever, sweetie."

"Thank you, Lilli," McKenna replied, kissing Lilliana's cheek. "You're beautiful too. I remember GrandDaddy Avi saying that to you before he went to Heaven. I feel like you never hear it enough so I'll start saying it to now. You're beautiful."

Lilliana teared up a bit, smiling at her cousin and the sweetness she withheld. Even when people are rude to her, McKenna managed to be kind and sweet. The cousins are shared a hug, not wanting to let go of each other. The door opened suddenly, tearing apart he sweet moment. They all tensed when they heard Matthew's voice.

"Lilli, you turned against us? That's not good. Maybe I should teach you a lesson or two."

Matthew then grabbed Lilliana's arm, forcing her to stand up. McKenna began to cry, wanting Lilliana to be okay. Sara put her face on Matt's shoulder, hiding her tears while Matt cried freely. Lilliana looked back at them sadly, her own tears falling.

"I'll be okay. It'll all be okay."

They all wanted that to be true.
