Mitch ran into the hospital, Scott by his side. The taller one is trying his best not to stumble or crumble onto the ground. Dr. Riley happened to be right there and she widened her eyes when she saw the sick man.

"What happened?" She asked worriedly. She took out a thermometer and stuck it under Scott's tongue. "Mitch, how long has he been like this?"

"This morn-morn-ning," Mitch answered, holding onto his brother. "He went to bed earl-earl-ly la-la-ast ni-ni-ight. We tho-tho-thought that it was we-we-ird that he went td bed early. He nev-nev-ver does that."

Dr. Riley nodded and the thermometer beeped quietly. She then took it out and examined it, looking up at Mitch in no time.

"He has a fever of 101.5."

Sara walked into school, praying constantly for Scott while walking. McKenna went to the elementary school and was dropped off by a neighbor that cares for the Kirks. Lilliana is at home because she felt sick and couldn't get out of bed.

Sara stayed quiet for the walk, afraid that if she spoke, she will begin to cry. Matt accepted her silence and hoped that she is thinking of happy things. She always does and that is honestly a trait Matt wants. Sara always thought of the positives. He was caught up in his thoughts that he didn't even notice someone walked up to them until they punched Sara in the face. The older began to cry silently as cradled her face and the younger one threw his books on the ground, glaring at the assailant.

"What was that for?" Matt yelled. The assailant shrugged her shoulders and looked at her nails. "You just don't hurt someone randomly. What the heck?!"

"I'm just pretending to be like her aunt! Somebody gave out papers to us that said she got abused! Don't shoot the messenger!"

The girl then left, shaking her head. Matt widened his eyes and hugged his sitter close to him, wanting nothing more than to take away her pain.

"Don't worry, Sara," Matt whispered, kissing her forehead. "I'll find out who did this."

Alex was in the middle of describing an elusive art piece to a group of prestigious artists when his phone rang. He blushed then looked at his phone, smiling a bit.

My Handsome Fighter

"Sorry, it's my husband. He has cancer and I named to check on him every once in a while," Alex explained. One of the artists nodded empathetically as Alex answered the phone. "Hey, babe. Are you okay?"

"Alex? It's me, Mitch. Scott's in the hos-hos-pi-pi-tal."

Alex widened his eyes and all the artists shared looks with each other. He then gave them an apologetic look and went into a close room.

"What's the matter?" Alex asked, his voice shaking. He didn't even realize that he was crying until he looked in a close by mirror. "Please tell my fighter is okay. He has to be."

"He has a fev-fev-ver of 101.5. You ne-ne-ed to come home, Al. He ne-ne-eds you."

Alex nodded as he walked out of the room. Everyone looked at him and he began to apologize.

"I'm sorry. I need to leave. My husband has a fever of-"

"Don't feel bad," the strictest artist remarked, nodding at Alex slowly. "Go to him. We don't mind waiting for another tour."

Alex nodded his thanks and ran out of the room, hoping to get to Mitch in no time.

Kirstin and Ariana went straight to Scott's room, exhausted from the dance competition. They're still wearing their dance jackets that say 'The Grande Dance Company'. Mitch sighed in relief, letting go of Scott's hand.

"Is he okay?" Kirstin asked softly, looking at her brother. He looks so peaceful. "Did his fever go down?"

"Yeah," Mitch answered, looking after Scott sadly. He's so grateful that he's okay and still alive, but he has something else besides a fever. Alex then ran in, thankful to see his husband.

"Scott?" Alex asked softly, smiling when Scott opened his eyes. "I'm so happy you're okay, baby."

Scott smiled and took Alex's hand in his own. They refused to let go. Ariana, Kirstin, and Mitch all shared a smile, happy to see the couple together again. Dr. Riley then walked in and smiled, files in her hands.

"Scott has pneumonia," she began in a somber tone, her smile faltering a bit. Everyone nodded, taking in the news. "He's lucky that he got in here when he did. If he came in later, the results won't be as great. He will stay in here for a couple of days until he gets better. If you have any questions, please feel free to call for me."

Dr. Riley then walked off and everyone in the room smiled at each other. Scott is alive and is going to stay alive. If Mitch didn't go into his room, he could be dead. He's better now.

~~~
McKenna squealed as she ran into Mitch's arms, happy to see her dad again. She kissed his cheek gently and smiled at him.
"I missed you, Queen Daddy," McKenna chirped, her smile warming up Mitch's heart. "People said that I am beautiful because of my bald head! My teacher says that I am the sweetest girl ever!"
"Th-th-at's ri-ri-ight, baby," Mitch agreed, kissing her forehead. They went to the car and got ready to leave. "Do you wa-wa-ant ice cr-cr-eam?"
"Is that a trick question? Yes! I meant yes please. I don't want to be rude."
~~~

Ariana noticed something seemed wrong the moment she walked into the house. Kirstin went back to the dance convention because in order for the dance team to perform, a dance instructor had to be there. She sighed to herself when she looked around the house. She then looked up the stairs, hoping for an answer.

"Lilliana?"

No answer.

Ariana sighed as she walked upstairs. Sara and Matt aren't home yet which shocked her. They usually came home at an early time.

"Ariana? Is that you?"

Alex's voice came traveling up the stairs, causing Ariana to go downstairs. The both of them shared a smile and sighed.

"Do you know where Lilliana is?" Ariana asked, frowning when Alex said no. "Where could she be? I think she might be asleep. She was sick."

"Sara and Matt usually come home at this time so I'm surprised that-"

The door then opened, showing a hyper McKenna and an extremely content Mitch. The three adults smiled and Mitch was about to say something when a note slipped under the door. McKenna picked it up and gave it to Mitch.

"Someone gave us a letter! That's so nice," McKenna commented excitedly. Mitch took it and smiled. "Open it!"

Mitch laughed at her cuteness and opened it. He read through it and pales instantly.

"What's the matter, Mitchy?" Alex asked softly, frowning when Mitch began to cry. "What's wrong?"

Mitch then wiped his tears, crying harder. He took a deep breath, revealing the truth.

"Sara and Matt got ki-ki-id-napped!"

A/N: Oops, lol. I'll explain what happened to Lilliana in the next chapter. No, she didn't die. Sorry, Kyah. Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed the chapter and I love you all so much.:)
