Yes...

I understand.

Everyone is confused.

They don't know how to react.

Some are holding on to the hopes of Scott and Mitch dating again and others are just accepting the fact that they weren't meant to be.

Some are ever saying that since they're older and wiser, they might have another go at dating.

Me personally?

I don't think it'll work out.

I don't think it'll work out because they're friends  (and like Mitch said, it was like they realized they were 'almost siblings' instead of 'high school sweethearts') and they're intending to stay as friends.

If they do get back together, however, I wish them the best.

They do be cute together and they know each other so well.

They're wiser and more developed and they're better at making decisions.

They didn't really think about their future and love lives in high school and just took the leap of faith.

And hooked up a few times.

Only then did they realize that being together wasn't for them.

And that resulted in them not talking to each other for a little while.

And when they hooked up again during the Sing Off, they finally realized that being together isn't what was best for them.

They wanted to be happy and sometimes happiness isn't being with the one you're closest to.

Scott and Mitch aren't together and that's hard to accept, but here's the thing...

Would you want them to be together, but they're only together because of their friendship?

Or would you want them to just stay friends and find people that they're truly happy with?

Their happinesses are more important than them being together and that's hard to realize, but it's the truth.

They're happy because they're friends, soul mates even.

But soul mates don't always end up together.

They found happiness by being friends, not by being with each other.

And I hope that they stay happy for as long as they live.

Even if they're not together and just stay friends.
