Chapter 25
When you died. I died inside. I no longer wanted to live. It's not that over the years I was never happy. I was thankful for my kids, and thankful I could hide my secret with someone I admired. I could tell myself you were somewhere where there was no such thing as prejudice. I could tell myself I didn't have much time left because of my old age, and I could tell myself I could be with you soon. Now, four years later I am closing my eyes, shutting down my brain, shutting down everything in my body, opening up my heart and soul, and joining you in the life that could have happened. What could have happened, will now happen with you in the afterlife. Restart a tale with two guys who can love freely.
