⌜ EXTENDED SUMMARY ⌟ 

The life of Ethan Winchester was one of grief and sorrow. Never the first, always second in the eyes of John Winchester. 3rd if counting their younger brother, Sam. Maybe that was the price of the being the twin of Dean winchester. Made sense, even his name came after Dean in the alphabet.

Was it the death of their mother, Mary that cause such a decline in the family? Or John's natural ways coming back after her death? No one will ever know except Ethan.

He always knew. He saw through his father.

And his father saw through him.

Ethan wasn't like Dean. Following his dad's orders, always trying to get approval from him. He never liked hunting, no matter how much his father forced him to. It was never in his nature.

Ethan had always liked painting, it brought out a version of him he always kept inside. No one ever saw it, not even Sam, his younger brother. He always felt bad for Sam, he deserve it. Nor did Dean, despite their rocky relationship.

Unfortunately, he hid his pain well, far too well.

To the point Dean thought Ethan's actions were just to rile up their dad and get him angry.

No, it was never that.

John just never liked Ethan. And Ethan's grave was a symbol of his hatred.

And the sad part about it all?

John never visited, not once.

Cause if he did,

He'd would have to convince himself that he was indeed the cause of it.

And to know a Winchester like him, you know he'd never admit his wrongdoings.
