Some random building
Kenzic's POV
As soon as Wren sent me the okay, I grabbed the door handle. Shoving the door open, I started at the vigilante duo and Mirgan Warson.
"Mindfucker! I'd like to make a deal with you!" I declared.
"Woah, that's one hell of a greeting." Mindfucker commented, chuckling.
I walked over to the trio, ending up right in front of the vigilante. They were just a bit shorter than me, enough for me to tilt my head down.
"If me or my sister can beat you in a fight, you have to at least try out for a hero school. Both you, and your other two companions." I put my hand out.
"So what? If I win I just get bragging rights?" Mind crossed their arms.
"No, if you win, I'll leave you alone. You'll also have my assistance to look forward to." I sighed.
A hand grabbed mine firmly and shook it. Mindfucker agreed, just as Wren opened the door to the roof. Unlike me and Mirgan, she was a lot less violent with the poor door.
We eventually agreed for Wren and Mindfucker to be the ones to fight. I patted my sister on the back, though she was oddly cold. I brushed it off as my imagination.
Me, Magic, and Mirgan sat down near the door. The two competitors halted in front of each other.
Mindfucker was the first one to move, swiping Wren's legs from under her. She leapt back just in time, only for Mind to charge at her again with a fierce punch. It quickly became a game of Wren dodging and blocking, while Mind was the one hitting.
"C'mon now! You don't think you'll beat me by dodging the whole time do you?" Mindfucker taunted.
Wren threw her first punch, hitting Mindfucker right in the nose. Immediately, Wren followed it up with another punch. This time, Mindfucker placed her foot on Wren like a stool, and shot them both opposite ways.
Wren ended up slamming against the door, it was a miracle that the door didn't break. Mindfucker, on the other hand, just barely managed to land on their feet in front of the edge.
I shot upwards and instantly went to check on my sister, who was still conscious but dazed. I helped her up and let her use me as support as I talked to Mindfucker.
"You win, good job." I offered a disappointed smile.
"Hey now, don't go moping on me. I'll tell you what, I'll still consider the offer. Sorry about your sister, by the way." Mind held up their hand to shake.
I shook it gently and nodded, turning and bringing my sister back home.

Months had passed, and the Beeker household was hectic. Their mother had revealed she was pregnant, and both siblings and the father were ecstatic. The deceased eldest child's name was being thrown around as a possible name.
At school, Linzy had managed to merge both friend groups together. Wren resorted to being the quiet one, along with Tyline. Birthdays were celebrated, and the group hung out more and more.
Meanwhile, Mindfucker and Magicmind (mainly Magic) had bonded with the students. They'd drop by after school before going to their patrol. Mirgan began to openly show their feelings for both Mindfucker and Wren, to anyone but the two.
Neither were oblivious though, but chose to leave it alone for the time being.
It was now March, Kenzic became busier and busier each day. Mere months from going to college to become an official hero. Wren supported him the whole time, forcing him into a decent sleep schedule by the second week.
It was a peaceful few months, but this wouldn't be a story without conflict, would it?
A disaster is brewing.
