Amy couldn't help but blush at the question Sonic gave who was anxiously waiting for an answer.

"Not at the moment, no."

'That's a relief.' Sonic thought while breathing out a sigh.

"Why do you ask?" Amy asked while taking a sip of milk.

"Well, that's part of the reason I'm here."

"And that reason is?"

"Well I was wondering if we could spend the day together doing stuff. That is if you're not too busy today." Sonic answered while blushing.

Amy blushed a bit harder "You mean like a date?"

Sonic blushed harder himself "Maybe...?"

Amy looked down at the floor in thought, trying to process everything that was happening.

'Is this...is this really happening?' She thought to herself.

"Amy...? I-If you don't want to, I'll understand." Sonic said worriedly.

Eventually Amy recovered from the shock and gave Sonic his answer.

"Actually Sonic, I think I would like to take you up on that offer." She replied with a small smile.

"Really? Like it wouldn't be too much trouble?"

Amy shook her head "It wouldn't be any trouble at all. I don't have any other plans for today and to be honest I was hoping for a chance to spend more time with you."

"Cool. Well then, I guess everything works out." Sonic grinned.

"Yep." Amy giggled.

Eventually Amy and Sonic finished breakfast. Sonic thought it was the best breakfast he had in a while and was already considering going to Amy's for breakfast and even for lunch and dinner more often.

"You've outdone yourself yet again Ames." Said Sonic while giving a satisfying burp.

Amy giggled "I'll take that burp as a compliment as long as you remember to say, 'excuse me' next time."

Sonic chuckled "Deal. You know, you should consider opening your own restaurant, bakery or café someday."

"You think I should?" Amy questioned.

"I know you should. Heck I'll be your first and best customer if you do!" Sonic grinned and winked.

"Well then, I'll hold you to that!" Amy grinned as she gathered up the plates, cups and utensils.

"As soon as I finish cleaning and putting all this away, I'll go get ready for our day together." She said.

"I have a better idea.  Why don't I take care of all the dirty plates and stuff while you go get ready?" Sonic offered.

"Really?" Amy questioned.

"Really, really." Sonic grinned and winked.

"Thanks!" Amy smiled as she left for her room.

Sonic then proceeded to clean and put away the dirty dishes, cups and utensils.  When he was done, he decided to relax on the couch while he waited for Amy.  After a while of waiting Sonic checked his watch.

"I'm waiiiiiiiting!" He complained.

"I'm reaaaaady!" Amy retorted.

Sonic looked up from his watch to see that Amy was indeed ready and boy was she ready.

Amy was wearing a red tank top, a red mini skirt and her old red boots.  For accessories, she was wearing a red hair ribbon tied up in a big bow on top of her head instead of her traditional headband along with a pair of red star shaped earrings, a red star shaped necklace, her gloves and bracelets and finally her red wristwatch on her left wrist.  She even put on some red lipstick for a little something extra.

Needless to say Sonic zoned out for the second time this week and Amy knew what she had to do.

"Sonic?  Soniiiiiic?  Hello, anyone home in there!?" She said as she constantly snapped her fingers in his face.

Eventually Amy's snapping paid off as Sonic came back to reality once again. 

"Huh!?  Huh!?  What!?  What happened!?" He replied looking left, right, up and down in a panic.

Eventually his eyes fell on Amy who was sporting a smug grin. 

"I zoned out again, didn't I?" Sonic sighed knowing all too well that he did.

"What do you think?" Amy replied while crossing her arms.

"I think we should we should be on our way right now.  We've got a long day ahead of us." Sonic said with a cocky grin.

Sonic then opened the door and held it open "Ladies first."

Amy rolled her eyes as she grabbed her red purse and walked out "What am I going to do with you?"

"Buy me a chili dog?" Sonic smirked.

"Maybe, if you behave yourself." Amy smirked back as she locked the door.

"So, shall we?" Sonic smiled as he held out his left arm.

"We shall." Amy smiled back as she grabbed his arm.

Together, they walked side by side, ready to take on the day.
