(3rd person p.o.v)

Edd's eyes fluttered open.

'Ugh. What happened?' She looked around.

'This isn't my bedroom.' She looked down at herself. She was in her pyjamas, was covered in chip crumbs, and had a half eaten donut on her chest.

'Man, I really let myself go.' She then looked over to the clock. 'I must've fallen asleep on the couch. I can lay here for a couple more minutes, it's only...7:15?! I have less than an hour to get ready for school!!'

She shot up from the couch, brushed the chip crumbs off and ran upstairs. Then she ran back downstairs, grabbed the half eaten donut, and ran back upstairs.

"Mights as well, I don't want to waste this perfectly good donut. Plus this can be my breakfast." She finished eating the donut whiles she picked out her outfit. "No no no!! This is all wrong!! It's not manly enough!"

She had pulled out ripped skinny jeans and red sweater with pink and blue letters on the side. Then she pulled out red kappa pants and a black sweater.
"Good enough"
She grabbed her clothes and ran to the washroom. After taking a quick shower she blow dried her hair, and got dressed.

"There. Now all I have to do is put on my hat."

*knock knock knock*

"Double D! You ready yet?!" Eddy yelled.

"One sec!" She yelled back. She pinned her hair up and placed her hat on her head. She could never get all of her hair to fit under the hat so some of it would always show. Today some of her bangs were showing, but she decided that I would be fine.

She grabbed back back and went up the door.

"Jeez sockhead, what takes you so long?"

"Sorry Eddy."

"Double D! I missed you!" Ed yelled wrapping her on a bone crushing hug. "I love you!"

"I- love you- too Ed." Eddy stood there laughing at Edd.

"I love you too Eddy!" He said pulling him into the hug.

"Let go of me Ed we're going to be late!" Eddy exclaimed.

The three friends finally made it to school with 10 minutes to spare.

"See I told ya we wouldn't be late." Eddy said with his hand on Double D's shoulder.

Before Double D could say something, she noticed everyone's attention turn towards the door.

"What's going on over there?" She asked.

"I dunno, let's find out." Eddy looked at the doorway.

They saw a bunch of guys gushing and girls with jealous looks on their faces. They pushed their way in front of the crowd only to see Nazz wearing pink tube top that was way too tight, and a hot pink mini skirt that was way too mini. She was clinging to Kevin's arm like leach and had a smile on her face like she was posing for a photo shoot. What happened to the old Nazz? The tomboy who wore baggy pants and always said dude. Double D shook her head and started to walk away.

"Woah, Sockhead, did you see Nazz?!"

"How could not? She's more flashy and distracting than a-"

"She's so hot! One day, I'm gonna end up with Nazz."

"You can only dream Eddy, Nazz is the most popular girl in school, and she's clearly with Kevin."

"Stop being a downer, if I play my cards right, I can totally end up with Nazz!"

"Whatever Eddy, I have got to get to class."

"Sure, see ya later Double D."

"Ok class, I'm going to be giving you a research project. You will have to display your findings on a poster and hand it in. I will be choosing your partners."

The whole class groaned.

"None of that, remember the last time I let you chose your partners? It didn't end well, at all. Half of you didn't even get the work done, the others wasted all the class time and handed in slop. And only one of the groups actually handed in neat work on time." He was referring to Edd's group. "So I will be picking your groups."

Edd decided to zone out until she heard her name.

Nazz sat there with a big smile on her face and fingers crossed hoping she'll end up with Kevin. Marie hoped she's end up with Edd again or her older sister Lee. Peach creek was kind of small so some of the grades were mixed and some of the students were older than others.

"Marie with Jake." Both Marie and Jake were disappointed.

"Nazz and.." She bit her lip in anticipation. "Eddy."

"What?!" She shrieked.

"Yes!" Eddy said to himself, then he turned to Nazz winking at her and slicking his hair back. She groaned and crossed her arms.

"Kevin and Eddward."

"What? You're seriously pairing me up with that dork?!" He said angrily. Laughter was heard throughout the class, Edd wanted to disappear because she was both embarrassed and offended.

"Yes seriously." The teacher said crossing his arms. "Need I remind you mister Barr, if you don't ace these next couple of assignments, you fail the course? I'm doing you a favour pairing you up with one of peach creeks brightest students."

"This is bogus dude." He said crossing his arms and slouching.

"If you give either me or Eddward any of this attitude, it's straight to the principal office for you and you'll work alone on the project. I know for fact Eddward will be just fine working alone with no one like you to distract him. I'm doing this for you, not anyone else. Eddward, if he gives you a hard time, just tell me. And Mr.Barr, if my memory serves me right, you have a big game coming up. It's going to be against peach creeks main competitors Cherry Riversides very own Cherry Crumblers. It's would sure be a shame if you weren't able to play due to a failing grade." The class went silent.

"You wouldn't!" Kevin hissed.

"Try me." The teacher said with a raised eyebrow and a twisted smile. Edd was the only one smiling. She loved Mr.Harold, he was the best teachers in her opinion, you either loved him, or hated him. The ones who ended up hating him were the ones who dared to disobey or talk back to him like Kevin. Those who loved him were obedient, hard working students who were rewarded with extra credit and bonus marks, like Edd.

"Ok everyone, I'm passing out the handouts now, we start on Monday. If I were you, I'd start my research this weekend so I wouldn't come into class with out anything to start with. There is a list of things you can research. You choose, but you and your partner must come to an agreement on a topic. If you want, you can get into your small group and come up with a topic."

Some people got into their partner groups and other stayed put and were on their phones. Edd quickly read over her sheet and looked at all the choices she had for research options.

Kevin was grumbling and sending the text messages to Nazz and all his friends how pissed he was to be forced to spend time with girly boy. He heard the sound of a chair slide next to him. He looked up from his phone to see none other than Edd with all her books, papers and pencil case.

"Hello Kevin." She said with sweet smile. He replied with a grunt and no eye contact. "U-um, I was thinking that maybe we could do option B? It seams like the easiest one." Kevin glanced at the option.

"Nope, too hard."

"...O-oh, then maybe we can do F?"

"Nope too boring."

"G?"

"Nope"

"H?"

"Nah"

"A??"

"Not feeling it"

Edd was starting to lose her temper.

"Fine! Then you pick."

Kevin picked up the sheet and looked at it. He clearly didn't understand any of it.

"Nah, you pick."

"Fine, I will. I'll pick and there will be nothing you can do about it." Edd pulled out a highlighter and highlighted option B, the one she wanted to do originally. "Here, we're doing B." She grabbed her stuff and went back to her desk.

'*sigh* why does someone so attractive have to be so irritating?' She took a seat back at her desk. 'Maybe Kevin isn't as bad and as stupid as I think. Maybe working with him will be a breeze, hopefully.'
