Rosé P.O.V.

A month.

It's been a month since I have been here, two weeks since I got this job, two weeks since I avoided him.

I tried my best not to be in his presence when I'm alone. I always meet him when Mrs. Park is around. 

Though I have noticed how he would just sit and keep staring at me with his intense gaze, which brings chills to my spine.

He doesn't even try to make it look subtle.

He would just shamelessly keep staring at me, and the most surprising thing is, Mrs. Park never noticed it once.

Or maybe he does it when she's not looking.

Or sometimes he would ignore me as if I don't even exist.

I just finished washing plates when I heard Mrs. Park calling my name. 

I wiped my hand with the towel then made my way towards her office because I think that's where her voice was coming from.

I stand in front of the door then knocked.

"Come in!" She says in a rushed tone.

I frown and twist the doorknob then enter the room.

"You called me, Mrs. Park?"

She was pacing back and forth, grabbing her hair in frustration.

She halts in her steps, then looks at me almost apologetically. 

My frown deepens.

She straightens her posture and walks around the table, then takes a seat in her chair and gestures me to take the seat opposite her.

I obey and take a seat.

"I...I need to tell you something important." She says seriously, yet I can feel nervousness in her tune.

"Yes?" I ask hesitantly because now I feel nervous after seeing her behavior. 

"I'm leaving." She blurts out then looks at me, and I can feel my heart sinking. 

"W-What?" I ask in disbelief because I don't want to believe what I think she's about to say.

"I have to leave for America because I have to meet my client for a very important deal and if I don't go, the company will go to lose." She says the last sentence in a quiet voice.

I can feel the colors draining out of my face. 

"Y-You can't do this to me, J-Jimin will–"

She cuts me off, "Jimin won't do anything. He hasn't hurt you for almost a month now and that's a good sign which means he's comfortable around you, so he won't hurt you. I just know that you are the only one who can look after him, that's why I trust you with him." 

She grabs my hands across the table. 

"Please do this for me. I have to leave for a month, I also need to go to other countries for other deals too, so it might take me a bit more time. I know this is too much to ask, but I really need those deals or else the company with go bankrupt." She pleads and squeezes my hands.

"I will pay you any amount that comes out of your mouth after I come back. Please, please, please! Do this for me!" She is literally begging me and I feel so awful.

"O-Okay, I'll do this," I said halfheartedly. 

I free my hand from her grasp as she sighs in relief and smiles at me afterward. 

"When will you leave?" I ask what I am dreading the most now.

"Today." She sighs tiredly.

WHAT?! 

"This soon?" I breathe out. My eyes widen and my mouthparts in shock.

"Yeah, I know I'm shocked too. No one informed me about the situation until now and I need to be there as soon as possible before my clients get angry," She says then pinch the bridge of her nose.

She stands up, I stand up as well.

"I will pack my stuff now." She walks out of her office and I just stand there, trying to comprehend the situation thrown at me.

I will be okay, Jimin can't do anything! 

I encourage myself with these words and keep chanting them inside my head for motivation.

I take a deep breath and turn around to leave for my room.

The things I do for money...

I groan as another period cramp hits me. I curl myself in a ball, hoping for it to lessen down.

I just got my periods and it hurts like hell.

The stabbing pain increases as tears form in my eyes. I don't have medicine and I don't wanna ask Mrs. Park because Jimin is with her right now.

God, help me!

I whimper as another wave hits me with full force, making me almost scream at the pain. The overwhelming feeling makes me feel nauseous and dizzy.

I decide to take a nap.

I hope it gets better.

Mrs. Park stands by the door, and I resist the urge to hold her back for my safety. 

It's not only about my safety, I will miss her because she's been nothing but a sweetheart to me. She reminds me of my mother and that's the main reason I don't want her to go.

But we don't get everything we want.

There's still some pain in my abdomen but it was better than before. I have asked for some painkillers from her but will take them after eating something.

"I have transferred some money in your account, don't hesitate to ask if you need more," She says and I nod at her in reply.

She's so sweet.

I can feel tears forming in my eyes. I don't know why I feel so emotional.

Gosh, these stupid hormones!

She hugs me, and I return the gesture because I really need a hug right now.

It's been so long since someone hugged me.

"Goodbye, dear," she says with a smile then looks around her house.

"Take care of Jimin and this house, it will mean a lot to me."

"I will!" I say with determination because this woman has done a lot of things for me but now it's my time to repay her.

I escort her outside where her driver is waiting for her. I bid goodbye and wave at her as her car passes by.

I sigh and place my hand against my stomach.

I really need to talk about those medicines.

I walk back inside and close the door. I just stand there looking at the closed door.

I take a deep breath but it got caught in my throat when I felt something behind me.

Or more like someone.

He is standing behind me, I can feel it even if he's not touching me. The warmth radiating from his body is enough to get me cautious.

I gulp.

I can see his shadow just behind me and it scares the hell out of me.

Due to fear, I almost forgot about my pain.

I clench the doorknob in my hand and try to gain my posture.

What the hell is he doing?!

Suddenly, I feel his breath against my ear, making me gasp inaudibly as my hand gripped the doorknob tighter.

He whispers in a husky tune and I can feel his lips curl upward in a smirk against my ear, his lips touching my ear, making me close my eyes in instinct.

"Missed me?"
