Chapter 5 - 🔥

*Mature content ahead

All the way to their apartment, Kennedy sniffed in Samuel's car. Silent tears rolled on her face and created translucent paths on smudge makeup. He drove them home without mumbling any words.

Kennedy gripped the ages of her dress while looking out through the window. She wanted to wrap herself with a blanket and hid under it. She was messed up. Her job was gone as Mac was the manager and now, she had even hit him-apparently, slapped him in front of everyone. She would lose her roof as well as a dark aura was coming out of Samuel and she certainly didn't know why. Maybe because she was careless and now Mac and his friendship had ended because of her. More tears came out.

She wanted to go home to her parents. She didn't have money and now probably no job and definitely no roof.

"Why the fuck are you crying?" Samuel growled beside her, anger coated his voice.

"I..." No words formed other than more sniffing and tears. She was sure her face was now like a turtle's poop.

He stopped the car just before their building and asked, putting more pressure on his word, "What?"

"I..."

"I'm pretty sure, I don't need to learn alphabets as I'm a topper."

"I...L..."

"That's two alphabets," he mumbled.

She rubbed her eyes with the back of her hands and all of her mascara painted it black.

"I lost the job." She burst into tears while her head hung low and voice was weak.

"There are pretty much millions of jobs out there, and I'm pretty sure you're not incapable of grabbing one."

In her reply, she only sniffed. She certainly thought herself incapable as the first ever job she got was because of her father and the last one through Sheila. She was a stuttering mess when it comes to confronting people with higher knowledge or superior than her. She wasn't exactly a social awkward person but she tended to confuse herself.

He parked the car and stepped out and Kennedy followed him like a good little girl. They stepped into the lift and waited for the door to close.

"Stop crying already. It's annoying."

She felt hurt and bit her lips to stop the sniffing when he added, "I've known Mac for all of my childhood. What you did out there was what he deserved."

The door closed. "Last time I checked, the girl he used to bully had committed suicide."

A shiver went through Kennedy's body. She never thought Mac was a bully but he surely was a psycho.

"Wha-what happened to her?" She asked, finally looking up at Samuel who now was leaning against the wall of the lift, eyes closed.

"He persuaded her to believe he loved her then made her do what she didn't want." Ding. The door opened when they reached the third floor.

"He spread every picture and video all over the internet." He looked at her, his eyes turned dark, "She committed suicide. The end."

Kennedy felt like a storm had gone through her. She could never imagine him like that. She held herself and wondered what would he do, if Samuel never appeared. Nobody warned her.

"Come on! What are you waiting for?" Samuel called from near the door of his apartment.

She dragged herself out of the lift and felt her feets become like mushes. They entered the room.

"Thank you," she mumbled weakly without looking at him.

"For what?"

"For saving me."

"Make no mistake, I happened to be there. And as you are my roommate, it is my duty to check on you."

Heat came crashing on Kennedy's cheeks. For some reason, she felt Samuel was harsh only on the outside but maybe, he wasn't that bad.

"Let's have a toast." Samuel went to the refrigerator and brought out a bottle of wine and poured on two glasses.

Kennedy took it and asked, "For what purpose?"

"You lost your job."

A gape formed on her lips and she blinked at him.

"That way you can find a better job." He raised the glass in the air and gulped while his eyes stayed on her.

She gulped it down as well. They both sat near the kitchen slab while Samuel filled their glasses with more wine. All of her frustration and confusion went down as she devoured the wine and finally she felt good. After what seemed like years, she felt like letting everything else go. She didn't want to drown herself into her misery. For a very younger age, she had to look after the household works, her brother and sister while studying alongside. She had to bear all the responsibility as her parents had to bury themselves into their works. She never complained.

"When Mac said fat thighs, why didn't you smack him in the head?" Samuel asked.

"Well, I've heard the worst." Another glass of wine vanished inside of her mouth and she added, "My ex boyfriend said once, he didn't like my stretch marks on my waist. I cut my diet just so he can feel special whenever I'm around with him but..." she heaved a sigh remembering the memories from her dusted vault, "eventually, I ended up in the hospital." Andrew was a sweet boyfriend but she could sense he didn't like to be around her when his friends arrived. She had noticed how he used to look at other-slim, sexy, pretty and other adjectives she didn't remember-girls but not her. She broke up with him and it didn't take long for him to get another girl around his sleeves. She didn't complain even then.

"You went that far just for an asshole? You're screwed up." Samuel scoffed and it made Kennedy feel a bit low. She knew what she had done was immature since she had so many people to look after. But all she wanted Andrew to look at her with adoration, not something out of pity. She wanted a person who would take her as she was and would be proud of it. But she let the thought go and moved on.

"That's why I don't believe in relationships," Samuel said, looking rather pleased with his words.

"So someone was there who broke your heart?" She asked, couldn't help her curiosity about him. It was the first time he was saying something about him.

"Never." His reply came faster and she waited for more.

He began, "Besides, it isn't that easy to make me fall in love." One corner of his lip curled up while he winked at her, and it made Kennedy's cheeks turn bright red. She looked down to hide her redness and nodded.

"Night sharing is better than everything." He stated and she looked at him with wide eyes.

She chuckled, "seriously?" She had never done one night stand and the one time she had sex-it can be called half-sex or no-sex at all as Andrew's little brother barged into the room when Andrew was about to enter her and he called his mother. It was embarrassing.

"Yes. You already know, you aren't binded by some invisible threads of relationship and all those responsibilities."

She nodded and once again, silence surrounded them.

The bottle was now empty and she felt her nerve finally calmed down. Samuel might be right, night sharing must be great. No love, no expectations, no relationship.

She sneaked a peek at him however, he was already looking at her. His stormy grey eyes burned at her and it sent a shiver on every cell of her body. She bit her lip. They stared at each other as if a silent argument was going on.

She sucked a breath when she noticed his face was close. A bit too close but not enough to evade her personal space. She sat there frozen with fear and excitement. The nearness of his hot breathing made her heart flutter as if it would jump out from her ribcage in any moment. Both of their breathes were shaking, eyes staring and waiting. She gulped. She wanted to move away but couldn't-didn't. His masculine aroma filled her nostrils and it aroused something in between her thighs.

Having been confused with her body's reaction, she pressed her thighs tightly together as if it would make any difference and stopped whatever was stirring between them.

The temperature in the room must have risen ten degrees, and she didn't understand how her body could be so warm and yet still shivering.

Samuel's gaze moved from her eyes to her lips and a few muscles of his jaw clenched.

"Let's do some 'We shouldn't be doing this' thing." His voice was low and husky and it made her insides howled with desire.

His lips crashed on her and she could taste the alcohol on his breath. His lip was soft and it sent lightning bolts through her body. Their lips synchronized as if they were two missing pieces of a sonnet. It was slow and uncertain as she closed her eyes savoring each moment. He groaned softly, low in his throat, and then his arms circled her, gathering her against him, while he still stayed on his chair.

Kennedy was on top of him, leaning against his strong chest while she knotted her fists in his shirt. Samuel's hands stayed on both sides of her waist, making her stay in her place while they both traveled each other's mouth.

Then he pulled up, leaving both of them breathless and wanting for more.

Kennedy felt her as if her knees became jelly while excitement ran through her cells. Samuel's grey eyes became more dominant and she could see lust filled in them.

He stood up taking her with him. Compared to his height, and the aura sipping off from him, she felt small and submissive.

"Let's go." Samuel's voice was low.

Before she could ask, he wrapped his arms around her and pulled up before heading toward his room.

Kennedy's heart thumped in her ears and there was a voice saying to her: this is wrong. However, she shut it down and let Samuel take the lead.

He slammed her on his bed a bit harshly but she didn't mind it. He opened his buttons one by one slowly revealing his taunt muscles beneath it while his eyes stayed on her. He let his shirt fall on the floor and Kennedy's eyes trailed on his body. God certainly had taken time to build him. He crawled on the bed as her breath caught in his throat and goosebumps made their way onto every part of her skin.

Her body shook under his weight and it was making her restless as her panty became wet.

He pulled up her dress and Kennedy was now in her lingeries, her mind was dizzy with heat and insecurities. Slowly Samuel's gaze washed over her taking in her bare beauty as heat stained her cheeks and her hands tried to hide herself. Samuel's big palms caught her wrists and glued them both sides of her as his eyes darkened.

"You're not allowed to hide it," he said, his voice breathy, which sent a shiver running down her spine. His authoritative tone made her more wet while his eyes burned her in lust.

Slowly he put off her panty while his eyes glued to her flesh, making her fidgeting under him. She closed her eyes. She was excited yet scared as if Samuel was going to remark on her stretch marks, a bit of saggy breasts and the small amount of cellulite that had gathered around her belly for not working out. But he didn't do such things instead she felt a warm breath fall just between her legs.

She gasped and shot her eyes open. Samuel's head was between her thighs and she never felt more aroused than this. Her breath hitched and she felt a tongue on her.

Samuel's hands loosened his grips on her wrists and spread her legs wide. She never felt more exposed than this and her body became on fire.

She arched her back giving him more access when his finger joined his tongue, and Kennedy's soft moans filled the room with its melody. She never felt like this before. The way her body was reacting was foreign to her. She didn't believe it was her.

"Stay still," he ordered and she obeyed as he continued and, finally she came and it was the best órgasm she had.

However, Samuel wasn't done yet.
