2023 ― Westview, New Jersey

CHRISTIAN AND WANDA were now ducked under a table as it was still raining inside of their house, even though they were already soaking wet. "Well, I was just reading about the advantages of water birth." He said. Wanda only looked at him as she was still taking deep breaths, and then the rain let up, and she stuck her hand out from underneath the table.

"Oh, thank goodness," Wanda said. Christian quickly got out from under the table and held his hand out for his wife.

"Let me help you up, baby... There you go." Christian said as he slowly pulled Wanda out from under the table.

"Oh... what a mess!" She exclaimed. Wanda turned to the window, and she used her powers to make a strong force of wind blow through their home to dry them and everything else off. "Oh, that's better..." She said, and then she groaned out in pain as she turned to Christian. "Darling, do you think it's time to...-"

"...-Call the doctor?" He picked up on her thought, and she nodded her head. "Yes, yes, I do," Christian said as he ran to the kitchen and grabbed the phone, but he only got the busy signal. "Damn, the phones are down, too. I better run. Except, he might have already left for vacation." Christian said as he walked back into the dining room area.

"Where? At a time like this?" Wanda asked.

"Well, in fairness, baby... our child is about nine months early. I better hurry. Will you be alright here?" Christian asked, and Wanda nodded her head. Christian leaned in and kissed her cheek.

And then he dashed out of the door.

By the time Christian rushed back in with the doctor on his back, Wanda already had the baby in her hands which made Christian frown. He had missed the birth of his child. "Oh no... I missed it." Christian said. Wanda looked over at him with a smile on her face, and then he looked at her and their son with a smile on his.

"Hey, Doc, why don't you help me out in the kitchen there?" That was when Christian noticed that someone knew was in his home. It was SWORD Agent Monica Rambeau, but in the world of Westview, she was just Geraldine.

"We went so fast; it was like we were flying." The doctor said. He had on vacation clothes as Monica led him into the kitchen, and Christian walked over to Wanda, who was lying on the floor behind the couch.

"Oh my god, Wanda..." Christian said as he knelt in front of her and leaned down to kiss her forehead, and then Wanda handed him the baby.

"Ooh, you're strong." Wanda cooed as Christian gently held the baby in his arms.

"Hi there, little Tommy..." Christian said. Wanda looked up in surprise since Christian had been so keen on naming him, Billy.

"Tommy?" She asked.

"Yes, Tommy," Christian said. He leaned down to give his wife a kiss, but then she started screaming, which made him start screaming, but he didn't know why they were screaming. "What?" He asked as he looked at her. "Oh my god... another baby is coming."

"Billy!" Wanda exclaimed.

"Wanda, push! Push!"

The pair had twins.

The ability to have twins is passed down through generations, and since both Wanda and Christian both had twin siblings, Amaya and Pietro, it made sense that the next generation of Rogers children they gave birth to were twins. "20 fingers and toes." The doctor said. He was holding one baby, while Christian was holding the other. Wanda was standing next to him, and Monica was sitting on the couch with a smile on her face. "You've got two healthy baby boys on your hands." The doctor said as he handed the other baby back to Wanda.

"Thank you, Doctor," Wanda said with a smile.

"Yeah. All in a day's work." He said, and then he turned to Monica. "And thank you for your assistance, young lady. I think you might have what it takes to be a nurse." He said.

"Allow me to walk you out, Doctor," Christian said as he set his son down in his bassinet.

"Oh, alright. As long as we actually walk this time." Dr. Nielson said, which made Christian laugh, and he and the doctor walked outside.

"Well, Dr. Nielson. I hope you're still able to make your trip." Christian said as they walked down the porch stairs.

"Ah, yes, my trip. I don't think we'll get away after all. Small towns, you know. So hard to... escape." Dr. Nielson said, and that brought back Christian's eerie feeling. Why did he choose the word escape? As if they were all being trapped here? Were they being trapped here? Christian tried to use his telepathy power, but he got the same results.

Radio static.

Then Christian turned to his side and saw Agnes and Herb whispering to each other. They were talking about Monica and Vision, along with his synthezoid family. "What is she doing there? And when did the others get to town?" Agnes whispered to Herb.

"I don't know..." Herb whispered back.

"Hey, neighbors!" Christian said as he waved, which caused Agnes to jump back and turn to him with a smile.

"Hey!" Herb responded.

"Howdy!" Agnes said, and then she and Herb crouched back close together and continued whispering since Christian couldn't read minds here, which he found odd because he's not been able to read someone's mind.

"Remarkable day we're having, no?" Christian asked as he started to walk over to them. "Did you lose power too?" He asked as Agnes turned around with a wide smile on her face.

"Oh, sure did. But Ralph looks better in the dark, so I'm not complaining." Agnes said, and they all shared a laugh.

"Hi, Herb," Christian said. He was a bit wary after what he saw earlier, but Herb waved.

"Hey, buddy." He said. Christian looked over all of them, and he wasn't sure if he should stay longer or head back inside, but he had that same feeling of uneasiness again.

"Well, I'll get back to Wanda," Christian said as he turned around and headed back for his house.

"Christian!" Agnes called out, and he stopped and turned back around. "Is Geraldine inside with Wanda?" She asked, and Christian nodded his head.

"Yes, why?" Christian asked. She seemed like a perfectly normal and fine woman; he didn't feel anything suspicious about her.

"She's new to town," Herb said.

"There's no family. No husband." Agnes said as she shook her head.

"Well, there's nothing wrong with that," Christian said as he shrugged his shoulders.

"No home... and then you have Vision... how was a synthezoid able to create his own family?" Agnes asked. Christian had been wondering the same question, but he had never asked.

"What?" Christian asked, but the two of them stayed silent. "What do you mean she has no home? And what's wrong with Vision having a family?" Christian asked.

"She came here because...-she came here because...-She came here because we're all...-" Herb didn't finish his sentence, and Christian was starting to get uneasy.

"...-She came here because we're all what? What are you trying to tell me?" Christian asked.

"She came here because we're all...-" This time, Agnes cut Herb off.

"...-Stop it." She said as she shook her head. Herb fell silent, and Christian was even more confused. Was he going to say that they were all trapped? He recalled how Dr. Nielson said small towns were so hard to 'escape.' Then Agnes turned back to Christian with a smile. "Well, I better get going. That macrame's not gonna hitch itself." Agnes said with a wink before she walked off, and Christian turned to Herb.

"Herb?" He asked.

"Catch you on the flip side, Christian." He said with a smile on his face. Christian turned back to his home, and now he was having an even bigger feeling of uneasiness. Were they stuck here? He needed to know if that's what Herb was going to say. And if they were stuck here, was Wanda the one keeping them here?

Christian immediately walked back inside of his house when Herb was out of view. "Wanda?" He asked. As he watched his wife, she was standing with his back to him and standing over the babies, but something about the room felt unsettling to him. "Where's Geraldine?" He asked when he noticed her absence.

"Oh, she left, honey. She had to rush home." Christian knew that was a lie because he was just outside. If Geraldine had left to come home, he would've seen her. But he didn't know the truth. As they were talking, Monica brought up Ultron when Wanda brought up Pietro, and Wanda didn't like that.

So she used her powers to remove Monica from Westview.

Outside of Westview was S.W.O.R.D. Base, they had been stationed there ever since Monica got taken inside of the city and hadn't returned. FBI Agent Jimmy Woo called in for backup, and now they had a whole base camp set up, and they were trying to figure out what was going on inside of Westview.

They called in all-hands-on-deck.

They called different people from different departments because they didn't know what was going on. What started as a missing person's case was now the case of a missing town, and they had to get to the bottom of it.

But they had no idea how deep it ran.
