Chapter Three

"Hogwarts is a school for freaks!" Cassia's mother exclaimed.

"No it's not!" Cassia's father argued. "It's in the title: Hogwarts, School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! Cassia- and Dahlia- are special. Very special! And you just can't handle it!"

Dahlia cleared her throat awkwardly. "Yeah, well, I think I'm gonna go now......" She let the door shut gently behind her, and Cassia found herself staring at her parents alone. All alone.

Finally she stood up. "Listen," she said to her parents. "I want to go to Hogwarts. We live in Maine, and going to Britain would be a great experience. So either you let me go, or I find a way to London myself. Your choice."

"London!" her mother breathed. "I've always wanted to go to London!"

"So it's settled. I can go, right?"

Her mother actually smiled at the idea. "Yes." Then she turned to Mr. Springs. "So long as I chaperon her there."

Cassia went up stairs to pack. She would be going to London. London. She couldn't believe it. She slipped into her nightgown and began to pack. She was going to need undergarments, socks (and lots of them, seeing as her socks always disappeared so easily), shirts, shorts, pants, at least one jacket-

The tapping on her window startled her. It was a little chipmunk. Tap, tap. Cassia strode over to the window. "Hello there," she said, a curious smile on her face. She opened the window and the chipmunk barreled inside.

"Sweak! Chip!" it chirped.

Cassia giggled as she guided out the window. "There you go little guy!" She finished her packing undisturbed with a wide smile.
