Chapter Ten

"Come on! Let's find a seat!" Cassia exclaimed.

Rolling her eyes, Dahlia said, "You are way too hyper. How much sugar have you had today?"

"None!" Cassia told her, glad that things were back to normal.

"Sure; as if!" Both girls stared as two kids wrestled along the rows of seats; one was a girl and one was a boy.

"James- Mum said the money was mine!"

"Rose, shut your mouth! It's mine!"  The boy stopped for a moment, resting his elbow on the wall of a train compartment door. "Well hello," he said with a devilish smile. The girl tackled him, and Dahlia burst out laughing.

"Hello," she said in the same tone of voice. She and Cassia walked away into an empty compartment, giggling non-stop.

"Hello," they kept mimicking to one another. "Hello!"

Oliver came in and sat down next to Cassia before the train left just. A stern looking woman stopped at the still opened door. She had glaring eyes, the eyes of a cruel teacher. These were the kind of eyes that made students writhe and squirm in their seats.

"Young lady," she spoke to Dahlia, who winced slightly at the woman's sharp tone. "Why is it you have with you a cat and an owl? Only one pet is allowed!"

Oliver stood up hurriedly. "The owl's mine, ma'am. Dahlia just told me I could set it there."

The woman sighed. "Names."

"Dahlia Wood, Oliver-" Dahlia began.

"I think anyone can tell he's a Weasley," the woman said.

"-Weasly, yeah, and then this is Cassia Springs." The woman eyed Cassia.

"A Springs, you say? Interesting," she muttered. "I hope to see all of you in Gryffindor. That's where all your family was placed."

"Um, miss? I have no wizard blood in my veins," Dahlia asked.

"Yes you do. The last one was a keeper. In fact, you may have some relatives being sorted this year.... Ah, yes. Four! Well, I will leave you three be." The woman left, shutting the door partway. Just after she left, Dahlia's cat changed color. It went from calico to tabby.

"Whoa," Oliver whispered. "That's cool." He and Dahlia remained silent. Cassia squirmed in her seat, feeling rather uncomfortable.

"You know what this is?" Cassia asked. Oliver and Dahlia shook her heads. "The worst kind of silence- an awkward silence!" Cassia broke out dancing. Dahlia and Oliver had trouble keeping in their giggles.

A loud laugh came from the door of the compartment. It was the wrestling boy from earlier.

"Does this happen often?" he asked Oliver and Dahlia.

Oliver shrugged, but Dahlia nodded earnestly. She placed her hand dramatically against her forehead. "I fear we may never fix her," she said with a sigh.

Cassia stopped, just to giggle. This was the Dahlia she knew and loved. "I am so way beyond fixing!" she yelled, than began to dance like Micheal Jackson. "Hee hee!" she shouted, then sat down.

The older boy smiled. "Name's James. James Potter. Of course Oliver already new that." Both girls looked at each-other in confusion. "He's my cousin. On my mum's side." James elaborated.

The girl from earlier who had been wrestling with James earlier walked by. "You!" she hollered, pointing her index finger at him.

Flustered, James stood up. "And that is Rose Weasley."

Oliver added,"Not my sister; she's another cousin."

"James Potter! Where's my money?"

"It's mine, Rose. And besides, I already spent it."

Rose fumed as she sat down.

"Well, anyway, I thought I would bring the two very lovely ladies some chocolate frogs." James gave a sly smirk.

"You spent my money on chocolate?"

James shook his head. "Frogs, Rose. Chocolate frogs. Big difference."

"Chocolate frogs! Yuck!" Dahlia said, obviously disgusted.

"Haven't you ever seen chocolate frogs before?"

Dahlia shook her head, mortified. James nodded. "Muggle-born?" he asked. Dahlia shrugged, because she didn't know what in the world that meant.

"Oh, here." He pulled out a little package. He sat down next to Dahlia (who blushed greatly, Cassia noticed) and opened it. He pulled out a little frog sculpted out of chocolate. "It's just chocolate. See? And you even get a cool card with a famous wizard or witch on it." He showed it to Dahlia.

"Harry James Potter. Is that your dad or something?" Dahlia asked, nibbling at the head of the frog.

"Yeah," he said proudly. "He defeated the darkest wizard of all time, Voldemort! And he did it all by himself!" Rose cleared her throat. Cassia noticed how much alike Oliver and she looked- same hair, same face shape, and lots of freckles.

"Okay," James admitted. "He did have a bunch of help from Hogwarts."

"Tell us more!" Dahlia begged. With a grin, James began to talk, and the whole way to Hogwarts he, along with some corrections from Rose (who was the daughter of Harry's best friends) and Oliver.

"So it begins like this. My dad lived in this house with his horrible aunt and uncle, and his really mean cousin. He told me that his powers first appeared when he was a the zoo..."

Cassia eventually fell asleep, leaning against Oliver's shoulders. She soon woke up, and changed into her robes. Just as she pulled down her hood, the train stopped.

"We're here!" Rose squealed.

"Where's here?" Cassia asked groggily. It was late, and hard to see.

"Hogwarts, Cass. Hogwarts!"
