Well, this book hasn't been updated in forever. Whoops. Anways, in lieu of WestElle being pretty rocky recently, here's a bit of angst.

Starring: everyone's favorite tailor's apprentice

Estelle was crying into Hercules's chest for the umpteenth time in that week alone. She didn't get why she was crying. Well, she did. She felt worthless. Again. None of this was her fault, not really. It wasn't her fault that West wasn't faithful. It wasn't.

"You could do so much better than this. You know that, right?" Hercules asked, voice rumbling in his chest. A silent nod, evident by the shift of blonde curls against him, was all he got in reply. "I told you that you shouldn't date her. And then you married her." The female folded up and into herself. "I'm sorry, I guess that's rude, but it's true," Hercules sighed. "Why don't you just leave her?"

"I would if I could," Estelle's voice was miniscule, as she wouldn't talk to many people now. 

"What do you--"

"She'll relapse. And it'll be my fault. She's been doing so well recently." She traced patterns with her fingers onto her palm, trying to calm down and distract herself. The skilled hands of her best friend stopped her fiddling.

"You're only going to get more hurt if you don't leave her," they met glances, one teary and the other filled to the brim with concern.

"Who cares if I get hurt--"

"I do. Lassie, don't you dare play this game with me. You've got to stand your ground for your own happiness," the words dripped with blatant regard.

"Herc."

"Elle."

"And if she gets worse? Or she does something to Mady? Or the baby.." Estelle rambled.

"We can settle it. Burr's a lawyer. He can help," Herc advised, leaving Alexander out of the equation.

"I've just gotta think about it..."

"Don't think. Do." A nod. "You've got this, I promise. Help yourself and make yourself happy before worrying about everyone else."

"B--"

"No buts. You heard me." Another nod. "Good."
