~ Jade's P.O.V ~

Today was the day. I would leave my pack and join Jake's. I would leave my parents pack, for the one that killed them.

" Quit thinking like that Jade " Emma growled.
" Ok, ok. Sorry " I said.

I got up out of my bed and got dressed. I needed to wear something nice so I could make a good impression but I also wanted to wear something comfy. I settled on wearing a pair of black leggings, a blue tank top, a black jacket, a nude scarf and a pair of black boots. I quickly put the outfit on and did everything else I normally do in the morning.

When I finished I walked downstairs. James and Ruby were already downstairs and waiting for me in the living room. Once they saw me they stood up and I made my way over to them.

" Hey " I said awkwardly.

Ruby let out a sad laugh before bother of them pulled me into a hug. I felt both of their tears fall onto my shoulders. I felt horrible that I was the one making my siblings cry.

Suddenly the doorbell rang and we looked at each other.

" That's probably Jake " I say before walking towards the front door.

" Hey " Jake smiled as I opened the door.

I let him inside and he grabbed my bags that I had put by the door. He told me he'd wait for me by his car and I thanked him for waiting for me. I walked back into the living room and said my final goodbyes to Ruby and James.

" I love you guys " I said as I held back tears that were threatening to fall from my eyes.
" We love you more " They replied.
" Bye " I whispered sadly.
" Bye Jade " They cried as small tears fell from both of their eyes.

We all made our way to the door. Jake looked up from where his gaze was and walked over to us when he saw us.

" Take care of her " James said.
" I will " Jake promised.

I hugged my siblings one last time before me and Jake got in his car. Jake started the car and drove off.

Off to my new pack.

I don't know how long we drove for, but we finally arrived. We both got out of the car and Jake grabbed my stuff while I was staring at his house. Wow, it was amazing.

" I see you like my house " Jake laughed.
" It's amazing " I said.
" Well its your house now too " he smiled.

I gave him a small smile in return before we walked inside. Jake lead me upstairs and into a bedroom.

" This is your room " Jake said.

I knew this was hard for him to do. I was his mate and I knew he wanted me to stay with him. I'm thankful that he was considerate of how I was feeling about all of this.

" My room is across the hall if you need anything " Jake added before dropping my bags and walking out of the room, closing the door behind him.

" Lets explore the room " Emma said as soon as the door closed.
" Lets " I agreed.

I walked around the room in awe. The room was huge. There was a huge red king sized bed and a ginormous walk-in closet.

After I explored I opened my suitcases and put everything away.

" Now what? " I asked Emma.
" Lets go find mate " She replied excitedly.
" Em chill " I laughed.
" Hey, I'm not the only one who is exited " she laughed.
" What do you ----"

Then I heard Jake and his wolf talking.

" SHE IS HERE! " Jay screamed at Jake.
" I know!! " Jake yelled happily.
" I told you she would eventually trust her wolf " Jay said.
" I didn't doubt you. I just didn't think she would trust us that fast " Jake admitted.
" Her brother helped " Jay added.
" I know " Jake agreed.
" But either way I'm SO HAPPY! " Jay yelled.
" Same " Jake agreed

I laughed. It was cute that they cared.

" Are you guys done dying yet? " I asked them.
" She heard us " Jake said in embarrassment
" We both did " Em laughed.
" Whoops " Jay mumbled .
" You guys are ridiculous " I said laughing.
" But you love us " Jake and Jay said.
" Shut up " I mumbled.

I walked over to Jake's room and knocked on the door.

" You don't need to knock Jade " Jake called from behind the door.
" Yes I do " I said as I walked into his room.
" I'm happy you're here Jade " Jake smiled.
" Thanks " I smiled back as I walked over to him.

Jake was sitting on his bed with a book in his hand.

" What are you reading? " I asked.
" To kill a mockingbird " He answered.
" I love that book " I smiled.

I sat down beside him and saw he was on page 67.

" Have you ever read it before? " I asked.
" Lots of times " Jake replied.
" Same here " I said.

Jake put the book down beside him and turned so he was facing me more.

" Nice room " I said randomly.
" I guess. Do you like yours? " He said.
" Are you kidding? I love it! " I answered.
" Glad to hear He smiled.

Jake kept his gaze on me. His eyes moved down to my lips and before I knew it, he was kissing me. I kissed him back before pulling away.

" Meany" Jake pouted.
" Thanks " I smiled while blowing a kiss to him.
" Hey, do you want to meet my family and the pack today? " Jake asked.
" Sure " I answered nervously.

Jake grabbed my hand and we walked out of his room, down the stairs and into his houses living room. His family was sitting on the couches watching the television. When did they get here? Oh well.

His family looked nice. Lets just hope they accept me.

" They'll love you Jade, don't worry " Jake mind linked me.

Jake cleared his throat and his family looked at us.

" Mom, Dad, Belle. This is Jade " Jake said.

The girl got up and walked towards me.

" Hi, I'm Belle. This idiots sister " She greeted.
" Hey, I'm Jade " I smiled.
" I can tell we're going to be friends " She said.
" Defiantly " I agreed.

" She means it. She can see the future. " Jake mind linked me.
" Oh, wow " I said back.
" Yep " Jake said back.

The mother and father them got up and walked over to us as well.

" I'm Sue and this is Daryl " The mother smiled at me.
" I'm Jade " I smiled back.
" Hello " The father greeted.
" Is it ok if I hold a pack meeting so the pack can meet Jade? " Jake asked.
" Of course it is " Daryl answered.

Jake lead me outside and towards a huge hall. We walked inside and Jake started talking to a guy.

" Hello soon to be Alpha Jake and soon to be Luna Jade " The guy greeted us.
" Hello Austin " Jake replied.
" Hello " I smiled.
" Austin, call a pack meeting " Jake said.
" Yes sir " Austin replied before running off.
" That was Austin. When I become Alpha, he's going to be my Beta " Jake clarified.

Jake lead me up a nearby stage. We hid behind a curtain as people began to enter the hall.

" Jake, they don't know about me. Do they? " I said.
" Yeah, they don't. The only ones who know about you are Austin and my family. " Jake answered.
" Okay " I replied.

Austin suddenly came running around the corner.

" Jake you're on " He whispered.

Jake kissed my forehead then he walked onto the main part of the stage. I watched as people cheered as he entered.

" Hello members of the Sunset Pack " Jake said.

Everyone quieted down as he talked.

" I know you are all wondering why I had called you here. I wanted to tell you something " He announced.

He looked at me and smiled.

" I have found my mate. Your soon to be Luna " Jake smiled to the crowed.

The audience gasped and then cheered. Jake walked over to me and grabbed my hand. He gave me another smile before we walked onto the stage. As I walked I felt everyone's eyes on me.

" Don't worry " Jake whispered to me.
" I'll try " I whispered back.

We stopped walking once we reached the centre of the stage.

" This is Jade. Does anyone have any questions? " Jake said.
" What pack is she from? " Someone yelled.

Jake looked at me to answer.

" The Moonlight Pack " I answered.

Suddenly a flash went off from the back row as someone pulled something out of their coat.

A gunshot was heard.

There was ringing in my ears.

Then I couldn't hear.

And everything went black.
