~ Jade's P.O.V ~

Today is Jake's birthday. The day he becomes Alpha of the Sunset Pack.

And I become the Luna.

I don't know if I can do it. I'm scared that I'm going to mess up. Or worse, get someone killed.

I walk into Jake's room and see him sleeping. I headed over to his bed and sat down. I shook Jake to try to wake him up.

" Get up birthday boy " I said.
" Ugh, no. 5 more minutes " he mumbled.

Suddenly Jake grabbed me and pulled me down so I was laying down next to him.

" Jake! Seriously get up " I smiled.

I thought about what I could say to wake him up.

" There's food " I smirked.

He opened his eyes.

" Food? " he asked with a smile.
" Oh my god yes! Now get up " I laughed.

We both walked downstairs and into the kitchen. I had made chocolate chip pancakes, eggs and bacon. Jake instantly ran to the table and began eating.

" Really Jake " I said with a smile as I walked towards the table.

We finished eating and decided to go walk around the packs land. I ran upstairs and got dressed. I picked out a comfy but stylish outfit and put it on. I did my normal morning things before I ran downstairs.

" Where do you want to go? " I asked Jake as we left the house.
" Let's go to the park " Jake replied.
" Ok " I shrugged.

We walked and talked until we got the the park. Being a child at heart I ran and sat down on the swings.

" You're so weird " Jake laughed.
" Thank you " I smiled.

I find being weird a compliment.

Jake walked over and sat down on the swing next to me.

We had sat and talked at the park until lunch.

" Come on we have to get back home " I said.

We both made our way home hand in hand.

" Go put something nice on, we are going out " I said to Jake as we walked into the house.

We walked back our rooms and I picked out an outfit. It took me a while but I finally settled on a blue and black dress. I put it on and walked downstairs.

Me and Jake's family had decided we were going to take him to a restaurant for lunch.

" Jake let's go " I yelled.

Jake walked down the stairs. He was wearing a black suit with a blue tie.

" Matching much " I smiled.
" I swear I didn't know you were going to wear that " Jake laughed.
" I don't care. It's cute " I said.
" By the way you look really beautiful. Like always " Jake smiled as we walked towards his car.
" Thanks handsome " I laughed as I got into the drivers seat.

We drove to the restaurant and saw Jake's family waiting for us.

" Hey guys " Belle greeted.
" Hey " I said back.
" Happy birthday Jake " Belle smiled.
" Happy birthday son " Jake's dad repeated.
" Haply birthday " his mom said as well.
" Thanks guys " Jake smiled.

We walked into the restaurant and were seated at our table.

" Bye " Me and Jake said as we walked away from his family.

We got into Jake's car and I began to drive home.

" So how's it feel to be almost be Alpha? " I asked
" Awesome " Jake replied.

I let out a small laugh.

" How's it feel to almost be Luna? " Jake asked.
" Nerve racking " I answered honestly.
" What? Why? " Jake asked.
" I just don't want to let anyone down and I don't want to fail " I admitted.
" Hey, you won't let anyone down and you won't fail. You are going to be an amazing Luna" Jake said reassuringly.
" Thanks Jake " I smiled.
" Anything for you " Jake replied.
