~ Jake's P.O.V ~

I slowly opened my eyes and was met with a sleeping Jade. I looked at the clock on my dresser and saw it was three in the morning. I kept staring at her and a smile made a its way onto my face. She was so beautiful and I was so happy that she was mine.

I love her.

~ Jade's P.O.V ~

He didn't know I was awake and I found it cute. Lucky for me when I was young I had mastered the art that is pretending to be asleep. Keep your eyes closed at all costs, even out your breathing and stay relaxed.

Jake kept mumbling this like he was so lucky to have me, that I'm beautiful and....that he loved me. Emma was ecstatic that our mate said he loved us, and honestly I was too.

Eventually Jake fell back asleep and I opened my eyes. I sat up and looked at him. He was curled up next to me holding me protectively.

" I love you too " I whispered.

Jake's lips formed into a smile and I realized he was still awake. I laughed quietly and laid my head on Jake's chest. His arms tightened around me and I fell asleep again with a smile on my face.

When I woke up in the morning Jake was still asleep. I decided I should make some breakfast for us both, so I carefully untangled myself from Jake and made my way downstairs. I cooked some eggs, bacon and toast. After everything finished cooking I placed them on some plates and poured two glasses of orange juice.

Happy with my work, I made my way upstairs to wake up Jake. I entered my room but found the room empty. Suddenly two arms wrapped around my waist and I was lifted up into the air. Once I was back on the ground I turned around to see Jake standing behind me.

" Screw you! You have me a heart attack! " I yelled at him.
" Oh come on Jade. It was funny " Jake smiled at me.
" No. Now hurry up, there's food " I said as I punched his arm.
" Ow! " Jake screamed.
" Aw is the little baby is hurt? " I snickered.
" Yes. Now come kiss it better " Jake whinnied.
" Yeah no. Come eat your feelings " I laughed.

We both walked downstairs and sat at the kitchen table.

" Wow this is good " Jake exclaimed.
" Why thank you " I laughed.

Me and Jake ate our breakfast in peace, occasionally making small talk.

" Hey Jake " I said.
" Yea? " He replied.
" I think I'm going to go back to school today " I decided.
" Ok, but I'm coming too " Jake smiled.
" Of course " I laughed.

When we arrived at school everyone stared at us. Probably because we technically hadn't even come to one day of school yet.

" I'm going to head to my locker " I said to Jake.
" Ok. I'll come too then " Jake smiled.

I rolled my eyes at him and continued walking towards where my locker was. I turned a corner and saw Ruby at her locker. I smiled and ran up to her.

" Hey stranger " I said as I approached her.
" Jade! " She yelled excitedly as she turned around.

Ruby pulled me into a hug before saying a quick hello to Jake.

" Let's go find James. " Ruby said before grabbing my arm and running down the hallways.

We went to James's locker and saw him getting his stuff. We walked up to him and he dropped his things.

" Jade " James smiled as he pulled me into a hug.
" I'm back " I laughed.
" Hey man " James greeted Jake as he walked up to us.
" Hey " Jake waved.

We all spent a few minutes talking before the bell rang out of no where.

" Well I guess I'll see you guys later " I said sadly.
" Bye Jade " James said before walking away.
" I don't know why you're trying to get rid of me, but you can't. We have the same class. Now off we go! " Ruby laughed before walking off towards our first class.

I looked at Jake with a smile on my face. Jake smiled back before intertwining our fingers and leading me towards our class.

Ok so I still hate school, but lucky for me the school day was now over. I walked out of the building with Jake and saw Ruby and James standing by Jake's car.

" You didn't think you could leave without saying a goodbye to us did you " James smiled as we approached them.

I hugged my siblings with a smile on my face. It was good to see them again, even if it was just for a school day. We all said or goodbyes before me and Jake got into his car.

The car ride was mostly silent except for when I would occasionally sing along to a song on the radio with Jake smiling at how "cute" I was being.

" Hey Jade? Would you like to go on a date tonight? " Jake asked.
" I'd love to " I replied.
" Great. We'll leave at six, if that's ok with you? " Jake said.
" Sounds good to me " I answered.

We both headed to our rooms and I started to get ready. It was already five so I could take my time.

I liked through my closet and picked out a red dress. Belle had picked out the dress saying I looked beautiful in it and it brought out my eyes.

I took and shower and then did my hair. I decided on straightening it because it took way too long to curl my hair. After I put on a light amount of makeup and put the dress on. I paired the dress with some black flats and looked in my mirror.

" We look hot " Emma laughed.
" Don't we always " I replied.
" Of course we do " Emma agreed.

I laughed at how weird we were before a knock on my door snapped me out of our conversation. I walked towards the door and opened it. Jake was standing at the door with a smile on his face.

" You look beautiful. As always " Jake smiled as he kissed my cheek.
" Aw, thank you " I smiled at him.
" Ready to go? " Jake asked.
" Yeah. Let's go " I answered.

" Jake " I gasped.

Jake had taken me to a fancy restaurant and after the meal, here he was. Down on one knee in front of me.

" It's not a proposal, it's a promise ring. Jade I've loved you since the day I met you, and I promise to always love you. Forever and Always " Jake announced.
" I love you too " I smiled as he got up.

Jake placed the ring on my finger and I looked at it. It was a small silver ring with the words I Love you - Jake written on the inside.

And I knew, I've loved him since the day we met.
