~ Jade's P.O.V ~

" Jade wake up! We have school! " James shouted from downstairs.

I honestly hate school with a passion. I call it Hell. I have no friends outside of the pack because I have to keep my family being werewolves a secret. Plus, no one else from our pack goes to school. They see it as a waste of time. The only reason I survive in that horrible place is because I have Ruby in all of my classes. Thank the moon goddess for that.

I slowly get out of bed and walk to my closet. I quickly grab an outfit and then walk to my washroom. I change out of my pyjamas and into my new clothes before brushing my hair and teeth. Then I get going downstairs to face today. Or punch today in the face. Whatever happens.

I walk into the kitchen and see James eating some cereal and Rudy eating a granola bar.

" I'm off " I said as I grab myself a granola bar.
" Wait for me " Ruby calls after me.
" Hurry up then " I reply back.

We both grab our bags and head outside to my car. Then we drive off to Hell.

" Back at hell " I say as I get out of the car.
" Welcome back " Ruby laughs.

While I'm here hating school, Ruby on the other hand loves it. Like how?

" Lets go get our stu--" I begin but stop mid sentence.

I take a deep breath and smell the air. Something was off.

" A wolf " Emma says through our mind link.
" Emma do you know who it is? " I ask.

She doesn't answer me. Just fantastic.

I turn to Ruby. She has the same expression on her face as I do. She knows there's a wolf here.

" Lets find James " I say.

We look around and spot James's car. We both quickly walk over and see James getting out of the car.

" James! " I yell.

He quickly turns to us with an alarmed expression on his face. He closes his car door and walks over to us.

" You smell it too " Ruby points out.
" I do " He replies. " You two have the same classes. Stay together and DO NOT go looking for the wolf " James orders.
" We will " Me and Ruby agree.
" Stay safe you two " James says.

We go our separate ways to our lockers. Me and Ruby grab our things for our first two classes and walk off.

" Ugh " I groan as we sit down in our desks.
" What? " Ruby asks.
" That wolf! I cant stop thinking about it. There's something with its scent and its driving me crazy " I answer.
" Well lets go find it " Ruby suggests.

" No need to " Emma mind links me.
" What? Why? " I ask alarmed.
" Smell. Its outside the classroom " Emma replies.

" Ruby. The wolf is here " I say to her.

We both look towards the door and in walks a male. He's tall and has brown hair. He sniffs the air before looking at me with a pair of bright blue eyes.

" Oh my gosh " Mumbles Ruby.

" Mate " Emma says.

I ignore Ruby's comment and stare at the wolf in shock. I just found my mate. I snap out of it and look at Ruby. She was staring between me and the wolf with her eyes wide.

" He's your mate. Isn't he? " Ruby mind links me.
" Do not tell James " I replied.
" Jade you have to! He's your brother and this wolf is now suddenly your mate " She says back.
" No, don't " I say stubbornly.
" Fine. It's your funeral " She replies.

I look back at the wolf and see he is still staring at me. I quickly get up and run past him, out of the classroom.

" Where do you think you're going? " Ruby mind links me.
" The woods. Please don't tell James I skipped" I answered.
" Jeez he gets told nothing, but ok " Ruby says.

I block her out before running out of the school and into the woods. Once I'm sure no one can see me I shift into my wolf.

I run until I get to a huge bolder in the middle of the woods. I shift back and grab a pair of clothes I had hidden in a log. Luckily I was smart enough to hide clothes in a lot places in the woods.

I climb up the bolder and sit on the ledge. My mind slowly drifts off and I begin to start thinking. I think about my life, my parents, my siblings and the mysterious new wolf who is apparently my mate.

" Emma what do I do? " I ask her.
" You need to relax. He's our mate Jade, you can trust him " she answers.
" I don't know how to handle this Em " I say back.
" Well start with not freaking out " She said.
" What do you mean? " I ask.

" Hello " I hear someone call out.

Its him, I know it is. I can feel it through the mate bond and through Emma, who is really happy that our mate had followed us out here.

I look down and see him standing beside the bottom of the bolder. We stare at each other for what feels like an eternity. I didn't mind this though. He was my mate after all.

" Hey " I finally reply.
" Are you okay? " He asked.
" I guess " I answer.

He smiles at me before climbing up the boulder. He takes a seat next to me on the edge.

" So? " He asks.
" So? " I mimicked.

He laughed. I could get used to hearing his laugh. A small smile came to my face after hearing him laugh.

" Lets learn more about each other " He suggests.
" Sure, but shouldn't you get back to school? " I said.
" You're out here, not at school. So no I don't " He answers.
" Ok then. Tell me something about you're self" I smile.
" Tell me something about yourself " He mimicked with a smile on his face.

I laughed and slowly all my worries disappeared. It was nice, having no worries. Even if it was only for a few moments. Maybe having a mate wouldn't be so bad. So far, it actually felt nice to have someone here for me.
