Night 5

It was the night Eins' plan would come into motion. His plan unknown to the rest of the werewolves so he split the small pack into groups. The first group was with Xara, Magnus, Axl and Ellegaard. The second group was Romeo and Ein. The final group was Aiden, Stacy, Dan and Stella.
Each group had their own target, the first group was to kill Olivia or Harper they had to vote upon themselves. Group two had to kill Jack, Petra and Anthony, being the quickest ones they'll get things done quickly. The last group basically stayed on the roof of Stacy's barn and would wait for someone to kill, it was more or less babysitting Dan and Stella for Aiden.

The groups ran of in different directions once they got to the village. Our first group hiding behind the hanging tree was already having complications.

Xara punched the tree "Quiet you morons, we have to vote on who to kill. Doctor person or Ivor girlfriend."

"Technically Harper isn't Ivors girlfriend..." Ellegaard corrected

"Well I think we should kill Elle!" Magnus joined in.

"Guys this is serious, if we don't do the plan Ein will kill us! I vote on killing Harper." Axl spoke up being the voice of reason.

"For once the fat man is the voice of reason. Now will you two shut up and do what you're told?" Xara asked, although it was more like yelling.

Ellegaard started to growl, "How about we kill Magnus to be rid of his stupidity."

"God you're such a nerd!" Magnus mocked.

"Me a nerd? You're the one who the alpha gave a beating to the other night!"

"Oh that's it! Come at me bitch!" With that Magnus and Ellegaard started to fight again. Tackling each other and biting one another. Xara was completely done with their nonsense and left them to actually kill a target and follow the plan. Axl just watched rooting for Magnus when he heard someone's voice.

"Hello? Is anybody back there?"

"Shoot. Guys scatter!" Axl pushed Magnus and Ellegaard away from each other and ran back into the woods with the two enemies right behind him. The person who was wondering around was none other than Harper. She was always a little odd, like wandering around at night when there's danger lurking about.

But the disbanding of group one is nothing compared to group three who was doing nothing. They were just sitting on Stacys' barns roof. Dan actually went inside the barn along with Stella to take a nap and eat left over apples from a few nights ago. While Aiden and Stacy stayed on the roof looking out for prey.

"This is so boring! We should be with the alpha, hunting with him! Not babysitting juniors!" Aiden complained.

"Well without us the juniors would've been killed by now, and if he needs us he'll howl for us," Stacy responded "besides what's up with you and the alpha? You always seem to get so territorial around him."

Aiden shrugged, "I just don't trust that Ein guy!"

"But you're the one who brought him to our cave, and called him a reenforcement." Stacy mocked.

"Shut up! I have power over you!" Aiden barked.

Stacy rolled her eyes, "From the looks of it Ein replaced you Aiden. There's no reason to be mad at me, we're all friends up here on the roof. There's a reason why no one has an argument on a roof Aiden."

Aiden sighed, "Fine. If it'll make time for by faster then I'll talk. You know how every night I wait for the alpha right? Well the thing is... I think I'm gay."

"... Exuse me? Did I hear that correctly? Did you just say you were gay? Gay for the alpha?"

Aiden is a hurry covered Stacy's mouth, "Shhh not so loud! I still hate myself for being this way! God my whole life is a sin!"

"Aiden there is nothing wrong with being gay... and stop complaining all our lives are sins! We're werewolves! We kill people!" Stacy pointed out.

"Yeah but what am I going to say to Gill and Maya? There going to freak out if I tell them I'm gay for Romeo!"

"Aiden your friends are so stupid they're probably only your friends just to make you look smart. And seriously with a name like Romeo who wouldn't be gay for him? Only if he wasn't that much of a jerk during the day he might actually be a little more than tolerable."

Aiden stared at Stacy and started to prove her wrong. "Romeo isn't just tolerable, he's sexy! And to you that might be gross but how many people can you say are sexy in this town? None! So shut up, it's not like your a person realising for the first time that their a homo!"

"Meh I can name a few," Stacy blushed. "but it's not your fault that you ended up gay. You're just a stray lace in the Lord's big boots."

Aiden's expression softened, "I guess you are just trying to help..."

"Look Aiden we don't have to be friends any other time we see each other. But if you want to talk I'll always be on the farm."

"I guess that would be nice... If only Gill and Maya were more like you... You think I should've been nicer to Lukas and Petra?" Aiden asked.

"Oh that? Yes, revenge isn't always an answer. Whatever Petra did just let it go. That's all the advice I have, let it go and stay alive."

"Thanks Stacy. You know what I think I might try to be friends with Lukas again! Tomorrow I'll beg for forgiveness like I did with Jesse that one time-"

Stacy stopped him, "No don't do that. One step at a time Aiden, you have to learn to forgive first then start to be nice... And don't beg! You'll look like even more of a pussy than you already are in daylight!"

"I'm not a pussy!" Aiden growled.

"And I'm just trying to help, the only time you should beg is if you want to lick the alphas-"

Aiden cut Stacy off looking like a tomato, "No! Stacy that's gross! I would never do that... at least not until it's official!"

Stacy was confused for a second until finally understanding what Aiden meany. "What? I was going to say lick the alphas hair. Did you think I was actually going to say lick his... That's hilarious! Disgusting, but hilarious! I'll have to tell that to Xara! She'll crack up!"

"Don't tell Xara! Anyone but Xara! Actually, no one at all! This is just between you and me, got it?"

Stacy chuckled, "I was just kidding Aiden. But yeah I got it. No one will ever know about our misunderstanding or that you're gay."

Aiden let out a sigh of relief, "Thank you."

The two looked around for awhile staying silent to focus on the task they've been blowing off when Stacy suddenly hit Aiden's shoulder. "Shhh... look." Stacy pointed a couple dozen meters away where you could barely see a person walking in the distance.

Stacy stood up, "Should we get the juniors?"

"Nah let's just go kill whoever's out there. We'll at least get something done." Aiden started to climb down the latter leading up to the roof, Stacy followed. The two hid within the shadows to see who the person was. Only to find out that it was Harper.

Group one was just walking around town square, if you could call it that.

"We should kill Anthony first, he'll be an easy target. No roommates, probably passed out. Perfect target!" Ein explained.

Romeo brushed his small beard, "No, he's a sect leader I just know it. Who knows what he could be planning, Petra is with Lukas so we should kill her when she's out hunting at sunrise. It'll look like a hunting accident, we should kill Jack. He'll be tough and probably be protecting Nerm, but the sooner he's gone the sooner Nerm will be unable to communicate with the rest of the town."

Ein gave a silent clap to Romeo, "Great plan Romeo. Lead the way, I don't know where anything is around here."

Romeo gave Ein a confused look, since the church was the tallest building in the town you could see it from about anywhere. But Romeo let it go, Ein was young and probably needed a push in the werewolf direction. From Romeo's knowledge Jack and Nerm lived in the church for there was no homes left for them to buy at the time.
Ein looked in through a window and saw Jack sleeping on the floor near the entrance and Nerm nowhere to be found.

"The coast is clear, Jack is near the entrance. Go get him Romeo!" Ein cheered.

Romeo broke down the door which was enough to wake Jack up. "What the? Werewolf!" Jack yelled as he grabbed his shotgun. Romeo grabbed the gun out of Jack's hands a threw it to the side and started to attack him. All while Ein was nowhere to be found.

Jack eventually managed to scramble to his gun and was aiming it at Romeo. When suddenly Ein ran in all sweaty, wolf features tucked away. He panted, "Sir! There's a Werewolf after me! You gotta... Oh God he's here! Tie him up! He wants to kill us all!"

Romeo full of rage that Ein betrayed him didn't notice Nerm tie him up. Jack threw Romeo near the podium in the back of the church and the three gathered around him.

Ein still sweaty was now shivering, "Thank god I found you two. I didn't know where else to go, I saw the church and ran here as fast as I could."

Nerm wrapped a blanket around Ein. While Jack tried to comfort him, "You're safe now. He can't hurt you while he's tied up. Now if you'll exuse me I have to fix the door this traitor broke."

Jack and Nerm walked away to fix their door on the other side of the church leaving Ein and Romeo somewhat alone.

Romeo whispered, "You bastered! You set me up!"

Ein smirked, "Your time is up Romeo. You didn't have what it takes to lead a pack anyway, you need a reenforcement to do everything for you. But I'm not going to stand by and watch my hard work crash and burn. This is my pack now Romeo."

Romeo growled, "My pack knows better than to listen to you! They'll chase you out of town the moment they now I'm dead!"

Ein gave a quiet evil laugh, "Do you really think that they're that loyal? When I tell them the terrible story about you being captured and how you made me alpha they'll be loyal to me faster than you can say werewolf."

Romeo still growling let Ein walk away a few feet until saying, "Aiden and Stacy will take you down Ein! Even if they fail Xara will take my place. You'll never be alpha!"

Ein stopped not turning around. "Romeo... romeo... romeo. Your successors are already falling into my trap. You see I told Graser to go to church in the morning that day, so because of me Stacy has a broken heart. Aiden will not survive much longer if you die. His friends and his enemies will be used against him. And Xara? Let's just say you'll be seeing her very soon... Alive if you're lucky."

Ein laughed his evil laugh one more time before walking to the front of the church where Jack was repairing the door.

Xara who was on the other side of town needed to kill someone at least to finish her task. Magnus, Axl and Ellegaard all didn't listen so they'll pay the price. Besides she worked better alone. Xara didn't really want to kill someone like Harper or Olivia, they seemed too easy, she wanted a challenge. And found Sorens wagon, noticing light coming from the small crack under the door. Bingo she thought.

Sneaking to one of the tiny windows she looked inside to see Soren and Ivor working on some kind of potion.

"Ivor this is madness! Harper should've been back with those ingredients by now! What if she got hurt? Then we wouldn't need a damned potion!" Soren shouted.

"Quiet you fool! One mistake and you'll ruin the potion!" Ivor shushed.

"I will not be shushed! In going out there to find Harper and if you actually care about her well being you'll come with me!" Soren made his way towards the door.

"I do care about her well being I just don't want to mess up our work!"

Soren opened the door, "Well I don't care about your stupid-"

Xara was standing outside the door wolf features out and all. "Hello Soren."

"Ivor... I don't think we need that potion anymore..." Sorens winced.

"What are you talking about? How are we supposed to know if... What are you doing?" Ivor asked unamused with Soren actions.

"Look...." Soren backed up against the wall but Xara was already in the wagon, locking the door in behind her.

Ivor was in shock, "Werewolf..."

"Yes werewolves are real. But it's a shame you two won't live long enough to tell anyone."

"What do you mean?" Soren asked shaking from fear.

"You'll see soon enough, you'll be joining Harper in an eternal sleep sooner than you think." Xara kicked over Sorens cot.

Soren was filled with fear while Ivor muttered to himself, "She's... No she can't be. Harper's stronger than this, she'll be alright... Right?"

Xara rolled her eyes, "I'm afraid not lover boy. Now make this easy for all of us and stand still."

Soren too full of fear to move, Ivor pulled out a splash potion of poison from his pocket and held it up in the air as a threat.

Xara laughed, "You don't have the balls to use that! Even if you do you'll kill us all you stupid idiot!"

Soren yelled at his old friend, "Ivor what are you doing? Do you even have a plan? Did you think things through!"

Ivor looked at his friend, "Soren we may have has many quarrels in the past but we were going to die either way. Potion or not, and I'm no going to allow a werewolf to terrorize this town any longer," Ivor looked back at Xara "you have one chance. Leave now and no one gets hurt."

Xara laughed once again, "I can't let you two live. You know too much."

"You asked for it..." Ivor smashed the potion onto the wooden floor poisoning all of them. Their deaths were slow and painful, but Ivor did what had to be done even if that meant they all had to perish. But it's not as if Xara didn't try to kill Ivor before he died of the poison. They wrecked Sorens wagon before the poison kicked in and slowly killed them all.

Day 5

The next morning was the most difficult one for many of it's residents. Stampy found Sorens wagon in a complete mess along with a dead Xara werewolf, Ivor and Soren. Sorens death now made Stampy a seer, he always knew this day would come but not so soon... and not like this.

Lizzie on her way to see Dan smelled a horrible stench coming from a bush. Instead of ignoring it like a normal person she went to investigate the smell and it turned out to be a half eaten Harper. It was disgusting so much so that Lizzie had to look away. But then she noticed something, the bush Harper was in is oddly close to Stacy's barn. I'll have to keep an eye out around here Lizzie thought.

But besides all the deaths Jack and Nerm called in an emergency meeting in the church. Nerm stayed quiet while Jack did all the talking, "Fellow townspeople, we've called upon you all here today for an emergency meeting. Last night a series of murdered have been made. Harper, Ivor and Soren... May their souls rest in peace. Xara also died last night but... she was apparently a werewolf."

The crowd gasped... Or at least most of the crowd did. Lukas stood up not requesting to speak but spoke regardless. "Jack, fellow villagers. What makes you so sure that Xara was a werewolf Jack? How do we know you're not lying?"

"Because I have proof! Gabriel bring in the werewolf!" Jack ordered.

Gabriel quickly ran into a small closet and came out a second later with a tied up, wolf eared and tailed, Romeo. Some people gasped again, others screamed and shouted until Jack called for order. "Is that enough proof for you Lukas?"

"Romeo? So if Romeo is a werewolf... and Xara is... was, a werewolf... Doesn't that mean any of us in this very room could be a werewolf?" Lukas asked, looking around the room.

Petra stood up, "So TorqueDawg wasn't lying. Werewolves are real... We have to prepare!"

"We have to stay calm Petra. If we assume that everyone is a werewolf then we can't trust anyone."

Jesse rolled his eyes, "Lukas Petra already has a hard time trusting anyone-"

Petra cut Jesse off, "Shut up Jesse. Lukas if we assume if everyone is a werewolf we can start narrowing things down. Who the werewolves kill next."

"And what? Wait until it's too late? And have half the population of this town killed!"

Jack called for order, "Order! Order! We don't have time for arguments right now. We can work about that after we figure out what to do with this werewolf."

"Just hang him! Make an example out of him!" Jesse suggested.

"And have another body stolen? No thank you! And hanging is wrong!" Lukas argued.

Petra slapped Lukas, "Lukas hanging is the only way we can make a point. Unless we whip him to death. Or skin him, cut off his ears. Or maybe we can burn him alive!"

"Actually that isn't such a bad idea for dead werewolves. How about this Lukas. We'll make everyone watch us burn Xaras' body and then we hang Romeo."

Romeo finally decided to speak, "You can hang me but don't burn Xara. She only did as I told her to..."

"Well now we have to burn her. And prisoners don't get a say in anything, especially werewolves," Jack spit in Romeo's hair "there's no time to waste. The hanging and burning starts now!"

Infront of the hanging tree a bonfire was made for burning Xaras body. And Romeo being the one getting hanged had a front row seat of them throwing Xaras lifeless body into the fire pit.

Gabriel started to get everything ready for the hanging. Jack stood Romeo up, "And last words traitor?"

Romeo looked around staring at the crowd of his fellow villagers, "I'm not the traitor, I was framed but I can't convince any of you otherwise. Just know this, by the time you figure out the real traitor it will already be to late for this town."

"That's enough out of you!" Jack pushed Romeo towards the tree. Romeo stood on the rock while Gabriel tied the noose around his neck. The crowd was silent, the fire was dying down... then Romeo jumped. Hanging himself before Jack or Gabriel could push him off. Romeo didn't squirm not one inch, it was hard to tell if he was dead. But the crowd knew he died when his wolf tail stopped moving and hung just like the rest of his body.

The crowd disbanded each going on with their lives. Jack went to church with Nerm to pray for Ivor, Soren and Harpers souls. Gabriel packed up his equipment and left with haste. Aiden ran off in tears Stacy following to comfort him. The only people left was Lukas, Jess, Jesse and Petra.

Lukas shook his head in disbelief, "I can't believe the admin was a Werewolf..."

"His name is actually Romeo." Jesse corrected.

"It doesn't matter. Werewolves are real and they killed so many of us! We need to fight back! Where's Axl? Someone get Axl and Olivia we need a plan!" Petra ordered but no one complied.

"Petra a man just died! He said that he was framed! We have to find the culprit for this crime!" Jess fought back standing by Lukas' argument.

Jesse argued with his sister, "Sis no matter who did it we have one less werewolf to worry about! Two less werewolves! And they killed three people, we have to fight back!"

Lukas sighed, "If we fight back then we could be putting more lives in danger! Show no rebellion and no mass killing will happen. We don't need more deaths we lost seven people in the past three days. Almost eight since Stampy could've died!"

"Wait Stampy could've died? So we almost lost eight people in less than a week! Lukas there was an attack in our town and people died, we can't stay peaceful forever! What if Jess dies or Jess, hell even me what then? Are you going to cry at church like a coward of fight back like a man? Because I'm fighting back, if you're smart enough you'll do the same. Come on Jesse." Petra started to walk towards the woods.

"No!" Jesse shouted making Petra stop in her tracks.

Jesse continued, "I'm not going to get myself killed because you want to protect this town in the most brash way possible. So I'm staying with Jess to actually protect someone! I'm sorry Petra but you need to get your thoughts straight." With that Jesse grabbed Jess's arm and walked into town. Just leaving Petra and Lukas alone near Romeo's hanging body.

Lukas spoke in a soft voice, "Petra... you know he's right, i know you know he's right. I don't want to see you get hurt or worse from a plan gone wrong. Don't leave me alone more than I already am, I don't think I can take another death of a friend." Lukas looked at Romeo's body one more time before walking into town after Jesse and Jess. Petra walked in the opposite direction towards the woods don't worry Lukas, I'm not going to die any time soon.

Since last night Aiden was actually starting to warm up to Stacy, but after this tragedy things went on pause for him. So Aiden taking what Stacy said last night was on the roof and Stacy following him was at his side.

Stacy pat Aiden's back, "It's okay Aiden just let it all out." Not expecting to be hugged by Aiden, still patting his back.

Aiden weeped, "Why Stacy? He didn't deserve this... and Xara? She didn't deserve to be burned. Whoever framed Romeo... will pay for their crime!"

"Sometimes that's how things go Aiden, we can't control the universe. But you have to stay strong, you're Romeo's successor remember? You have a pack to take care of, keep his memory alive for the next generation." Stacy tried to comfort him.

"I don't know if I can lead right now... What would Romeo do?"

"Hey listen to me! You can't keep weeping over your dead man crush forever Aiden. Yes he just died and your heartbroken trust me I've been there, but you're the alpha now. You have to take care of the pack just like how I have to take care of Dan. Be strong Aiden."

Aiden stopped hugging Stacy and whipped away a tear, "But I can't lead alone... So you'll be my second in command!"

"What? Aiden I don't think that's a-"

Stacy was cut off by Aiden's hand again, "Just listen. I have no idea how to lead or take care of anything. All I know is how to be a bastered and you know how to take care of things so I need your help. Do it for the pack..."

Stacy sighed, "Fine. For the pack and I bet you'll be a great alpha. Nothing can stop us now!"

Note: over 4k words? What is this witchcraft!? But seriously this took me all night and then some to finish. (Well I fell asleep but that's besides the point) I really enjoyed writing this chapter. But oh my god can you believe that? Aiden is gay, Romeo was set up by Ein. Xara died along with both witches and Soren... So much happened in one night! I'll hopefully be posting the next chapter in a few hours. But a few I mean like 8 hours from the time I'm posting this. My thumbs need a break! And my tablet is about to die.
