Chapter 13: Alive (Reprise)
Stampy woke up in a cold sweat. His whole body hurts and ached, his heart was pounding. Was it just a dream or did it really happen? When he looked around he had one thought in mind, where is everyone?
Though his question was quickly answered when someone burst through the door. It was Olivia, followed by Dawson, Julia, and Moon Moon (his features covered by his clock). Instead of checking on Stampy like she normally did (though he didn't know that) she was yelling at the two girls and ignored Moon Moon. "Do you two have any idea what you put this town through? We thought you where taken by werewolves! Radar sent half the town looking for you two, hasn't anyone told you what happened six years ago?"
Olivia stopped then sighed. "At least your here now-" but she stopped when she saw Stampy sitting up on that couch he's been on for the past month. "You're awake! Thank god, today's been a miracle."
"Where..." that was all Stampy could get out before he passed out on the couch.
"Olivia! Do something!" Dawson shrieked.
Olivia walked over to Stampy and placed two fingers on his neck. "He's fine. He just passed out."
"That doesn't make sense! Wasn't he sleeping all this time?" Julia asked.
"No, when you're in a coma you aren't really asleep. Well you sort of are. I might be a doctor but I'm no good with dealing with comas, Jess is more experienced than I am. But I do know that he'll be fading in and out of consciousness for the next few days, maybe even weeks. So no adventuring for him." Olivia explained.
Olivia tried to explain to the girls a bit more, so Moon Moon took advantage and left the farmhouse. As he wandered around he thought about past adventures he and Keanu would have. They would go hunting, fishing, saving, that stuff; they where a part of the Paw Patrol. How am I going to explain to Blaze? And Scarlet, and Red, and David, and Ian?
Every now and again he would think of other things. Like Growler Town, the other Werewolves, his dumbness. Even though Moon Moon couldn't remember why he was so dumb, everyone jokes that his parents where idiots... idiots for having such a dumb son. Or maybe it was because his parents didn't care enough, sort of like Keanus parents who just let him do what he want.
But the young pups thoughts where interrupted by bumping into something. He looked down and saw a thin stone, backing up he saw writing on it. "Hawk... how do you even pronounce this name? 1618 to... this is too smudged out. Bye dead guy."
Moon Moon knew he was in a graveyard (there was one in Growler) and he kept walking until he stopped at a certain one. "Isn't this that red haired Werewolf guy? Romeo? Yeah this is him, hello again!"
When the soil beneath him started to move, Moon Moon jumped back and whimpered. He slightly tapped the soil with his foot, but it was suddenly grasped by a hand that emerged from the soil. The pup yelped and tried to shake the hands grip, but nothing worked. Though when he tried to run away, something happened.
It turns out the hand was connected to an arm, and the arm was connected to a body. That body was Romeo, as if he never died. He looked brand new. "Stop yelling kid!" Romeo growled, and then he let go of Moon Moons leg.
Moon Moon watched as Romeo stood up and shook off all the dirt that was on his clothes and hair. "Come on, we got to find that British girl. She grabbed onto me when I tried to hitch a ride with Stampy."
The pup looked confused but followed the older werewolf as he sniffed out the area. And as if it was a surprise they found her grave instantly. And as Romeo started to dig, Moon Moon read what it said on the stone. Elizabeth Dwyer. The Murder who got murdered. Everything else on the stone was covered in dirt thanks to Romeo. But before you knew it a pink haired girl sat up and was gasping for air.
"Why did you do that? We aren't supposed to be here!" Lizzie yelled at Romeo.
Romeo chuckled. "You mean alive? I believe what you are trying to say, is thank you."
"No! Shut up! Where's Stampy?" Lizzie asked.
"He's in the farmhouse." Moon Moon answered.
"That's still there? Is Dan still there?"
"Of course, you only care about Dan." Romeo Joked.
"Shush! Let's just go!"
~~~
It was strange to be alive again, at least that's what Lizzie thought. Running through the streets of New Growler, it didn't even look like New Growler anymore. But a lot changes when you're gone for six years... Out of all the things that changed in New Growler, Stacy's farm stayed the same. That place never seemed to change, no matter what happened.
Moon Moon took them inside where Lizzie saw two girls (Dawson and Julia), a knocked out Stampy, and... "Cassie Rose?"
Cassie (who was sitting on the floor near the couch where Stampy was) straightened up when she heard her name. And when she heard that it was Lizzie, she started to sweat a little bit. "Oh, hi Lizzie... hold on..." she stopped for a moment and suddenly flipped out. "How are you alive!"
"Long story, is Stampy awake?" Romeo answered.
"He was..." Dawson said.
"For like five seconds!" Julia corrected.
"Do you know when he'll be up again?" Lizzie asked.
Cassie shrugged. "No idea."
There was a silence among the group for a few minuets until Julia stood up and started to bark out orders, the amulet around her neck turning red. "Well we can't just do nothing while we wait for him to wake up! We should be doing farm stuff! Like herding sheep! So move it!"
And just like that everyone had to help with a farm chore. It wasn't fun but it made time go by faster. Dawson and her dog Turtle would follow the sheep all day and keep them herded together, though Wink did most of the work. Romeo decided to stay inside, so he 'watched' Stampy but fell asleep on the floor instead. Moon Moon was moving the rice bags in the barn, while Cassie was trying to fix a part of that damned fence. That left Lizzie and Julia where on the roof, trying to clean out the chimney.
"So," Lizzie said, "where did you get that gun from?"
"Gun? No this isn't a real gun. It's a BB gun." Julia answered.
"Makes sense, never give a kid a gun. But you know, you always have to keep at least one silver bullet on you. Hand me that brush thing."
Julia gave Lizzie the thing she was talking about and continued their conversation. "Why would I need a silver bullet?"
"Because," she started, standing up and leaning over into the chimney. "You'll never know when you're attacked by a werewolf!"
"I'm a wizard, I'll be fine!" Julia boasted. She was confident for a second, but turned away because she could see up Lizzie's skirt.
"If you're a wizard then why didn't you get out of that cage while we where in the Inferno?"
The young girl was silent for a minuet until Lizzie called out to her. "Julia? I think you should get Cassie to do this."
"What? Right, I'll go get her..." Julia said.
She got up (doing her best trying to avoid looking up Lizzies skirt), and climbed down the latter they used to get on the roof. She was still thinking about Lizzies question, why didn't she use her magic? Although she said that her magic wasn't working that wasn't the truth...
The truth was that her magic wasn't that powerful. She could barley make a potion without blowing it up. But at this point she didn't really care anymore, she had too much to do. And for now it was working on the farm.
~~~
That night everyone decided that they would stay in the farmhouse since most of them had no place to go. Lizzie stared out the back window at the empty fields, Dawson was watching in amusemnt as Turtle and Wink started to become dog friends, Cassie was in the kitchen, and Julia was a part of a werewolf pile. A werewolf pile is a thing werewolves do. The biggest werewolf sleeps on the bottom, then the medium, then the lightest. But most times it was just a bunch of werewolves huddling together.
Cassie came back with a cup of warm milk (she wanted to make hot cocoa but there was no chocolate), and almost dropped it when she saw a certain cat. Running back into the kitchen to put her cup down, Cassie came back and saw a Calico cat sit on Stampys chest.
"Winslow!" Cassie said with pure joy. Winslow jumped off of Stampys chest and into Cassies arms, which was impressive since she was almost across the whole room.
When Winslow jumped off the sleeping mans chest, it must've woke him up since he started to toss and turn. That alone caused everyone to stare. When Stampy did wake up, he rolled over so he was facing everyone. For a man that was in a coma for a month, he's doing surprisingly well. But when his eyes settled to the candle light he smiled. "Cassie? I thought you left. I took care of Winslow and the shop for you... just like you asked."
"Thank you Stampy... I though I was going to be away for... longer than expected." She said.
"The sleepy man awakes." Joked Romeo.
"Romeo? Lizzie? How are you guys here?" Stampy asked.
"Romeo grabbed onto you while you where coming out of the Inferno. I tried to stop him but I ended up here too." Lizzie explained.
Winslow jumped out of Cassies arms and walked over to Dawson, who petted him accordingly. Then Cassie got an idea, one moment she was in the room, the next she was gone. But then she came back with a mug of warm milk and a little bag. Cassie didn't even get to drink the milk so she gave it to Stampy instead. So Stampy managed to sit up and he started to drink the warm milk like the cat man that he was.
The bag on the other hand needed explaining. When Cassie opened it there where some gasps in the room when the contents were pulled out. Now in Cassie's hand was a crystal ball, the same ball Dan stole from Growler Town. "If you say the name and the place their from to the ball, it'll show you where they are. Dan left it here for when you woke up Stampy. I thought it would be a good idea to show you where all your friends are."
Stampy nodded then finished the mug of milk, letting out a satisfied sigh afterwards. "Before I ask where everyone is, what happened to you over the past six years?" He asked.
Cassie was hesitant, her eyes moving from one side of the room to the other. She couldn't tell him she tried to kill herself! "Well everything was fine for the most part, until I tried to get back to New Growler. I was ahead of schedule when I was attacked by werewolves." she stared to explain. "They almost got me if I didn't dive into the river, though for a time I was sure I was dead. Until a friendly fairy saved my life with his blessing."
Held up a tiny sack that was attacked to a string, which made it a necklace. The bag was so small it was about the size of Winslows paw. "The fairy blessed it, so he gave me life. And during the rest of my time away I was living with fairies. Granted I almost squished a few, but at a point I knew that I was out of place. So I came home, besides I missed Winslow and the shop, and you coming in every morning for cat gossip."
Stampy smiled and Lizzie gasped, saying something about cat gossiping without her. But Cassie's true story must always be kept to herself.
After Cassie tried to kill herself, she floated down the river into fairy territory. Or at least Forest dragon lands. Because the next thing Cassie know she was in the secret fairy forest, with a fairy blessing around her neck. And she spend the next three years living with the creatures. The other three years she spent with another dragon tribe 'Rouge' Dragons. And then she decided to come home, simple as that.
"Cassie," said Stampy, "I would like to see the ball now..."
She put the crystal ball into Stampys weak hands. He asked the ball in a weak voice, "Show me Stacy of New Growler."

(In the Great Dragon City)
Ein was lucky enough to be sitting so close to the dragon king (his name being Ignis). He was skimming through his book and laughed at some of the things he wrote down. Like those werewolf, human, peace makers. That was truly a ridiculous group.
Though his master plan was involved with a bunch of little plans. Yes his plan for the world was to take over their continent (named Lupus), but he also had some... personal desires.
Today was a slow day for Ignis, you could tell from a mile away. No dragon peasants came in begging for food or servants coming in with problems. The perfect timing.
"Ignis my friend, do you mind if I ask a favor of you?" Ein asked in the kindest way possible.
"Anything for my werewolf ally." Ignis replied with a giant dragon smile.
"You know those humans that crashed your dinner last night? If you don't mind me asking, can your servants go and fetch one of them for me? I need to have a conversation with her."
Ignis thought for a moment, rubbing his chin with his right claw as if he was that famous statue. "Well I suppose that talking to one of them wouldn't hurt any creature. Describe her to me so I can tell which one for my servants to grab."
"She's the only one wearing stripes. If your servants are dumb as a rock, tell them to say Stacy. That's her name." Ein explained.
Ignis nodded then turned to the front of his throne room. Clapping his claws together, a steel servant rushed in and bowed. "Meus Rex." He said.
Ein looked at Ignis and nodded, to which Ignis explained to the servant in a language he would understand. Then the servant bowed once more and ran off to the dungeon to get the human he requested.
Ignis turned to Ein and lowered his opened claw to the werewolf. It was a signal for Ein to step into the claw, which he did and Ein was now face to face with the king. "Why do you want to meet with this human so badly? I wish to hear what you have to say to her."
Eins ear twiched and he came up with a lie, a lie to which Ignis would overlook. "She's a very special human. She's actually a werewolf, and I would like to "diventare compagni" if you understand what I'm saying Ignis."
The dragons wings suddenly spread open as if he was about to fly away, but they suddenly closed. A signal to Ein (with his dragon knowledge) that he understood. "Y-yes of course Ein! I wouldn't want to get in the way of that, f-forgive me for being so c-curious. I'm just looking out for my people." Ignis explained, his voice rushing.
Ein laughed for a minute or two and Ignis even laughed for a moment of time. Once Ein calmed down he put a hand on one of Ignis' talons. "I understand my friend. You're lucky to have subjects who care, and an ally who can help you become a better king. And if this goes well, one day you might be able to "diventare compagni" with a certain female dragon."
"That won't happen until a long time from now Ein. But thank you, for everything. We'll make Lupus a better continent for all tribes!"
Yes... All tribes..., Ein thought.
As if cued, the servant came back with a bird cage. This one was different than the last one, it was smaller and only had one person inside. Perfect, Ein thought devilishly, they aren't so dumb after all.
Ignis put Ein down on an arm rest on his throne, and the bird cage was also placed on the arm rest. Then Ignis got up and started to leave the room with the servant, but not before giving Ein a thumbs up (or an attempt of a thumbs up).
When the dragons actually left, Ein opened the bird cage. Of course, Stacy was standing there glaring daggers at him, her arms where behind her back and where tied up with a knot Petra was most likely forced to do. If the rope stayed on her and she hasn't escaped by now then that means the potion worked. He thought.
Ein rolled his eyes and grunted, females. "Don't give me that, come out of that bird cage. We both know you're both a bird."
Instead of the response he wanted, Stacy took a step back only to be more in the bird cage. Ein groaned in response, "It's hard to try and be nice to you when you're acting like a child!"
"I'm not the one who hides behind dragons and makes them eat a member of my pack." Stacy shot at him, though she didn't yell. Because if she did then it was back to the dungeon.
"Don't start with this nonsense Stacy, you're better than that. Just come out of the cage, all I want to do is talk."
"The last time you wanted to 'talk' it got my alpha and pack member killed. Not to mention you could've killed Dan. I have all the reason not to trust you, Ein." Stacy explained.
"Fine, then I'll just have to come to you." As Ein said this he walked into the bird cage making Stacy shift back a little. "The more you keep moving backwards the more you're only cornering yourself. So I suggest you stop and let me speak. Because I'm the one who got you into the dungeon, and I can get you out, but I can also put you back in. So listen up!"
The she-wolf gulped and stayed silent which made Ein smile his wicked smile. "Good. Now since it's just us and none of your other friends are around, you can untuck your ears. No one will ever know about your secret."
Stacy complied without hesitation, she didn't know why she just felt like complying all of a sudden. And her ears and tail where now untucked. Which this action alone was suddenly one of her greatest mistakes. Because Ein started to circle her. Sometimes touching her wolf ears or using his tail to touch around places that shouldn't really be named.
"You seem healthy enough... though you could loose a few pounds..." Ein critiqued.
Stacy growled. "Are you trying to sell me off as a slave or something? That's low even for you, Ein."
Ein almost actually looked hurt, though it was Ein so you can never really tell. "What? No! Notchs lovely heaven no! I might be a bit devilish but I'm not evil!"
Keep telling yourself that. "Then why are you circling me like a vulture?"
"I know how you like to be blunt so I'll just cut to the chase. I want to be your mate."
Stacy was so shocked yet angry at the same time, she actually did bump into the end of the bird cage. Which unfortunately meant that she was cornered. "You know I would never accept that! I would never ever be your mate!"
"Oh I know. You have your precious little human in New Growler. Just because he took your virginity doesn't mean anything, he's a human. He doesn't care!" Ein argued.
"You have no idea how humans work. Stampy isn't just any other human, he's my human! And I don't care if everyone says that it's wrong, but he's my mate. Not even you can change that!" Stacy blurted out. Before when she called Stampy her mate she hesitated, yet now she's proud to say it. What changed?
Ein sighed and had to turn around so he could roll his eyes. All tribes know that a human can't be with a werewolf. It's a doomed love. "No matter how many times you say it, it'll never be true. Humans and werewolves! Not possible, I've seen people who tried. Trust me they tried, but it always ends out the same. And they always say that they're going to be different but nope! Still the same."
Damn, he took the words right out of my mouth. Stacy thought.
Ein turned back to face the she-wolf. "No matter. Even if your 'heart' belongs to a human, then I'll just have to force you to be my mate!"
"Where is this whole mate thing coming from? You never even talked to me six years ago, now you're suddenly infatuated with me? What's this about?" Stacy asked.
Females, always asking questions. Ein complained to himself. "Stacy, I had a few mates in my lifetime. Yet they all turned out the same. They run away, because they're cowards and 'can't believe they fell in love with a monster'. You're the only Werewolf for miles around, and if you didn't completely hate me then you'd be surprised on how well we'd get along. And I only need you around for one litter of puppies and to become my queen, that's all."
"No, I'm not doing anything you're telling me to! You can't make me! We're nothing alike, so go find some other freak to be your mate. Not the person who you turned into a werewolf!" Stacy argued.
At this point Ein had enough. "Shut up! You stupid she-wolf!" He snapped.
"No! Leave me out of this plan!" She continued to argue.
That leaves me to choice. I did this once, I can do it again. Sorry Stacy, you chose the hard way. Ein pulled out a potion from his cloak and threw it at the she-wolf. At first she just complained even more, then she stopped. Her once green eyes now turning to gold, the color that shows she's under his control.
"Sorry I had to do that hun, you where having one of your fits again." Ein said, suddenly becoming the nice guy.
Stacy blinked a few times, she wanted to scream at him but couldn't and said this instead. "Sorry about that my love, I promise it won't happen again. Is it why I'm tied up? Or is this one of those strange fetishes? I don't think I approve of that..."
"No, some dragon idiot messed up and tied you up by mistake. Here, I'll get you out of that rope." He tried to unknot the rope but nothing seemed to be working. Until he remembered that he had magic and he just used a spell to make the rope disappear. Which in turn gave 'Stacy' her full love and loyalty to him.
Ein wanted to laugh at how well this plan worked out but he couldn't, at least not yet. "Now hun, if you don't mind me asking. When is your mating season?"
Don't tell him Stacy, fight the urge to say it! "Autumn. Why do you ask?"
"I'm just curious. For... you know... pups..." Autumn? Well I'm lucky October is next week. Ein thought.
"Pups! I don't think I'm quite ready for pups..." She said anxiously.
"What? Nonsense! You'd be a great mother!" He encouraged. That's just how Ein worked, one moment he would be angry and the next he's seducing a she-wolf. Granted he cheated.
"Well... maybe we can try for pups one day... but not today."
Ein couldn't help himself with the exciting new idea for pups (even though he had a son in Growler Town, though that boy was dead to him), he grabbed Stacy and kissed her. And she didn't do nothing to stop it, she just let it happen.
It was at that moment Stacy realized that she was at Eins mercy. And he could do anything he wanted with her. Yet the kiss would be the only thing Stampys saw through the crystal ball, and after the picture faded he started to cry.
