Chapter Five: A Team Rock Blast Off
Chapter Five: A Team Rock Blast Off
Ash looked down at the Pokéball that Professor Aspen had placed in his hand. He had done it. He had really done it. Fenfire decided to go on his journey with him and Pikachu. An overwhelming of different feelings started to build up inside of Ash now that he has Fenfire in his Pokémon family.
"Well Pikachu, let's welcome our newest member to our team. Come on out, Fenfire!" Ash threw Fenfire's Pokéball into the air, releasing Fenfire from his Pokéball.
Fenfire landed right in between Ash and Professor Aspen. Looking up at both of them Fenfire felt like he made the right decision to go with Ash. Professor Aspen knelt down in front of Fenfire and parted him on the head with a smile on her face.
"I'm very proud of you Fenfire. Choosing to go with Ash I think will be a good thing for you. Become a strong Pokémon under the training of Ash and prove to all who doubted you that you are strong."
Fenfire suddenly jumped into Professor Aspen's arms. He had spent so much time with the Professor that he thought of her being his trainer. Professor Aspen wrapped Fenfire in her arms. She too developed a strong bond with Fenfire. She was going to miss this Pokémon, but she knew that this was the best choice for him.
"Ash, Pikachu, please take good care of Fenfire. Although he's not my Pokémon I feel as though we share something special."
"Don't worry Professor. Pikachu and I will take great care of Fenfire. We won't let anything happen to him."
Fenfire looked up at Professor Aspen and licked her on the face. With a sad smile she handed Fenfire over to Ash. The once angry Pokémon was now taking the first steps he needed to healing from the betrayal he felt towards humans and Pokémon.
"Well Ash, you and the others should be getting ready to head out. You and whoever else is going to enter to Soko League can register at the PokémonCenter just right down the street from here. Oh, and one more thing you should know about Fenfire. He doesn't really like being in his Pokéball."
"Really!? That's the same with Pikachu here. Looks like the two of you have a lot in common." Ash looked to Pikachu and then down to Fenfire.
The two Pokémon just smiled at each other and Ash picked Fenfire up into his arms. If Fenfire didn't want to be in he Pokéball then Ash wasn't going to force him. Fenfire made himself comfortable on Ash's other shoulder, opposite of Pikachu. Ash, Pikachu, Fenfire and Professor Aspen made their way back to the rest of the group to get ready to head off on their journey's. As Ash stepped into the main entrance to the lab his Pokédex screen suddenly started to flash.
"Professor! What's up with my Pokédex?" Ash asked as he pointed to his wrist.
"Oh, if the screen of your Pokédex starts to flash like that, it means someone is trying to call you. Just press the button on the side of the screen."
Ash pressed the side of their his Pokédex and when he did Professor Oak popped onto the screen.
"Ash, my boy! So, I take it that you and Gary made it to the Soko Region alright then?" Professor Oak asked.
"Yes sir, but Professor, how did you get my number for my Pokédex?" Ash asked since he had just gotten his Pokédex only half an hour ago.
"Professor Aspen had given me yours and Gary's Pokédex ID Numbers shortly after the two of you left for the Soko Region. Is Gary near by? I would like to speak to both of you."
Gary heard that his grandpa wanted to see him. He walked up next to Ash, trying to get of view of his grandpa pass Pikachu and Fenfire.
"I'm right here Grandpa. What's up? Why didn't you it's call my Pokédex?"
"Ash's mom wanted to contact him anyways. So, I just offered to just call him instead. Anyway Gary, Professor Rowan was really impressed with your last report. He said after you've finished with your research with a professor Aspen he would like you to return to the Shinno Region."
"Really?! Tell him I'll return as soon as on done here." Gary answered with shock and excitement at the same time.
"I will my boy, now Ash, your mother would like to talk with you."
"Alright, but wait Professor, I want to introduce you to someone," Ash angled his wrist up a bit so Fenfire was in view. "Say hello to Fenfire, the newest member to our team."
Professor Oak's eyes actually gleaming at the sight of the Soko Region Pokémon, especially such a rare looking one.
"My, oh my. What a interesting and beautiful looking Pokémon. I have heard of Fenfires, but never thought that this is what they would look like, not to mention that it's the rare black Fenfire."
"This Fenfire is special and I can tell he's really strong. The three of us are going to make a great team as we go around to catch new Pokémon and face gym leaders."
"I'm sure the three of you will. Now here's your mother." Professor Oak moved away from the screen to let Delia sit down to talk to her son.
"Hello Ash, sweetie!" Delia said with a smile.
"Mom, don't say that in front of all these people." Ash said, a bit embarrassed.
"I'm sorry Ash, but there is something I need to tell you. It has something to do about your father."
"My father? Why bring him up now?" Ash asked confused, but at the same time curious. His mother would often tell him how much he reminded her of his father.
"I believe you should know the reason why your father hasn't returned home. Your father loves us both and I often keep in touch with him while you're out on your own adventure, so I think you should know that your father is in the Soko Region with the title of Champion."
Ash couldn't believe what he just heard. His father was in the Soko Region and not only that he's Champion as well. Ash didn't know how to feel about all this. He had always wondered where his father was and now he finds out that his in the region that he had just arrived in not to long ago.
"Ash?" Delia's voice sounded a bit worried.
"Thank you mom for telling me this. This just gives me another goal while here in the Soko Region. After participating in the Soko League I'll challenge the Elite Four and then challenge my father, the Champion!"
Ash was pumped full of energy while some my be angry that their parent was gone from their life since a young age Ash was just plain excited.
"I'm glad to hear that you're not angry with him. He really does love you Ash and I hope once the two of meet after all these years you both will be able to tell each other all the adventures you both had."
"Don't worry mom and when I see dad I'll be sure to say that you said hi."
Delia was happy to see that Ash was so understanding about his father. Waving good-bye to her son, Ash's Pokédex screen went black. Ash was excited. After all these years of not seeing his father he wondered what he might look like now. His memories of his father are limited since he was a young child when his father left to go on his own Pokémon Journey.
Ash made his way over to the rest of the group, who where discussing on what they were going to do. Was everyone going to go their separate ways after registering for the Soko League at the PokémonCenter or, will they all just travel together?
"Hey Ash, let's head over to the Pokémon Center. Richie, Andy and Zoë said that they need to register for the Soko League like you. Let's just head over there together." Gary seemed eager to go.
"Alright, but where is the Pokémon Center?" Ash asked.
"The local Pokémon Center is actually right down the street from here. Just follow us." Andy led everyone outside. Saying their last good-byes to Professor Aspen, the four Pokémon trainers and one Pokémon researcher made their way to the Magnolia Town Pokémon Center.
While Ash and company were making their way to the Pokémon Center, Team Rocket was having trouble finding where Ash and Gary had gone off to. Somehow they found themselves in Magnolia Forest, wondering around lost.
"This is just perfect! Where did those two twerps go in the first place?!" Jesse complained to James and Meowth as she looked around the unfamiliar forest.
"Don't ask me. I was just following you two bozos." Meowth tried to play the innocent act.
"It seems that the twerp and his Pikachu gave us the slip once again, of course it looked like even he didn't know where he was going. This gives us the perfect chance to come up with a plan to capture Pikachu and send him to the boss. We are currently in Magnolia Forest and the twerp likes Gym Battles. The first gym he'll be going to is the Castelrock Gym in Castelrock City. He'll have to come through here to get there." James said in a clever tone.
"Then let's come up with a plane and get Pikachu."
"Agree, but don't you guts have the feeling that we're being watched." James looked around with an uneasy feeling in the pit of his stomach.
"What do you mean Jimmy boy?" Meowth then started to look around as well.
"Just look around and listen."
All three members of Team Rocket stood in silence as they started to look around into the trees and bushes. Light wrestling in the bushes caught their attention. They stared carefully into the bushes when something suddenly jumped out, scaring the Team Rock agents.
"W-what was that?" Meowth asked while scrambling to his feet.
Team Rocket turned to see a strange looking Pokémon standing in the middle of the road. It was something that neither of them had ever seen before. It's eyes glowed a bluish purple and it looked as though it was a small tree.
"What an ugly looking Pokémon." Jessie scoffed as she dusted off her Team Rocket uniform.
"Let's at lest figure out what Pokémon it is first. Remember, we left our other Pokémon back at headquarters." James pulled out his Pokémon information cards of the Pokémon of the Soko Region. "Here it is, Kodryad. It says here that Kodryad likes to scare people walking pass. Kodryad can evolve into two different Pokémon. Oakent, if male and Cherelle, if female."
Everyone looked over to where Kodryad was standing to see that it was gone. Looking around to see where it went, they finally found Kodryad behind Jessie, staring up at her.
"What are you looking at you big eyesore?!" Jessie looked down in disgust at the small Pokémon.
"It seems that this Pokémon really likes you Jessie. It says that it thinks that you are the most beautiful human it's ever seen." Meowth said to Jessie, but in an unenthused way.
"Really?" Jessie looked down at the Pokémon she saw as an eyesore, but at the same time felt a little flattered that a Pokémon who seemed to have no beauty in her eyes thought that she was beautiful. Jessie took out one of her Pokéballs and lightly tossed it at Kodryad. The Pokéball opened and Kodryad went inside. Waiting for a few seconds Jessie's Pokéball moved back and forth a few times and then dinged. Jessie had caught Kodryad.
"That's a surprise Jessie. I thought you said that Kodryad was a big eyesore and ugly looking Pokémon." James said in surprise as he picked up Kodryad's Pokéball and handed it to Jessie.
"That may be, but if a Pokémon who looks like that thinks I'm the most beautiful human it's seen, then I guess I can look past its looks. And it's also like you said, all our other Pokémon are back to Team Rocket HQ. if we're going to catch Pikachu and other Soko Region Pokémon we need Pokémon of our. Now let's come up with a plan to capture Pikachu."
As Team Rocket was coming up with a plan to capture Ash's Pikachu, Ash and friends were heading to the PokémonCenter to register for the Soko League. As the door to the PokémonCenter opened a women with long, wavy pink air stood behind the front desk.
"Hello, and welcome to the Magnolia Town Pokémon Center. I'm Nurse Joy. Here at the Magnolia Town Pokémon Center we can heal your Pokémon and trainers who wish to participate in the Soko League and register here." Nurse Joey welcomed Ash, Andy, Richie, Gary and Zoë.
"Hello Nurse Joy," Zoë greeted with a smile. "How's your Gardevoir doing today?"
"I had to send Gardevoir to my sister in Castelrock City to help out at the Pokémon Center there. I have Ampharos to help out here. I hear that you three are starting your journeys today. Are you hear to register for the Soko League?" Nurse Joy asked with a smile.
"Yep, us three and our new friend here. He's from a different Region and just got here not to long ago with his friend." Richie pointed to Ash and Gary.
Ash walked up to the front desk to introduce himself to Nurse Joy. "Hello Nurse Joey. I'm Ash from PalletTown and this is my partner Pikachu and are new friend and teammate Fenfire and I'm here the register for the Soko League."
"It's very nice to meet you Ash, you too Pikachu and Fenfire. Now, to register for Soko League all I need you to do is place your Pokédex right here on this pad. Richie, Andy and Zoë you three can do the same. Our new system allows us to register."
Ash, Andy, Richie and Zoë all placed their Pokédexs on the pad that would register them for the Soko League. Everyone then looked up to the big screen that was behind the front desk. All four trainer's faces appeared on the screen. One by one a big green check mark showed up next to their pictures.
"There you four go. Your four are now registered for the Soko League. The first Gym you will be going to is Castlerock City. All you have to do is follow the road that leads into Magnolia Forest, after that it's a straight shot to Castlerock a City where you can face off against the Castlerock Gym Leader Raquel. If you all would like, I can program each of your Pokédex ID numbers into each other's Pokédex."
Everyone agreed and that's when Gary walked up and placed his Pokédex on the pad. Once everyone's Pokédex ID numbers were transferred into each other's Pokédex they placed their Pokédex back around their wrists, thank Nurse Joey and walked out of the Pokémon Center. They hadn't been out of the Pokémon Center for more then a minute when Richie saw someone from the corner of his eye. It was someone he knew and knew quite well. It was a female with Ash Brown hair, and she had light green eyes. She was also wearing and apron with hair-cutting scissors and combs tucked into the pockets.
"Mom?!" Richie said with a shocked expression on his face and ran up to his mother. "I thought you had to work all day?"
"I do, but I decided to take any early brake to see if I could catch you before you left town."
Richie was happy to see his mom before heading off on his journey. He knew that if he didn't he wasn't going to feel right about leaving. Richie wrapped his arms around his mother's waist and wrapped her in a big hug. His mother did the same. The bond between mother and son can be a very powerful.
"Tell me Richie, which Pokémon did you choose as your partner?" Richie's mom asked as they unwrapped from each other.
Richie took the Pokéball of his only Pokémon and press the center button to release his partner. When Fenfire appeared in front of Richie's mom her eyes lit up. Being the owner and Magnolia Towne's Pokémon Salon, she loves to see the different coats of Pokémon that showed how healthy and how raised Pokémon has been. She kelt down in front of Fenfire and started to run her fingers through Fenfire's fur.
"Fenfire's coat is well kept. It's smooth and soft and the feathers on the back of its neck are healthy as well. Be sure to brush Fenfire's fur after each Gym Battle and when if looks like it's getting matted. I've had several Fenfire's come into my salon with unhealthy coats because of the lack of brushing." Richie's mom then saw Squirtle in Andy's arms. She stood up and walked over to Andy and Squirtle. "My, my, this Squirtle looks absolutely squeezes. His shell is shiny and it's tail..." She brushed her fingers on top of Squirtle's tail. "It just shows just how well braze the Squirtle is. Where did you get this Squirtle Andy? Squirtle is it one of the Pokémon to choose from here in the Soko Region." Richie's mom asked.
"Another trainer asked me to take Squirtle with me on my journey. She said that she had just caught Squirtle, but she was going to take a break from traveling. She wanted Squirtle to gain battling and traveling experience."
"I see. Although the Squirtle is young it's shell is already so strong. Quite impressive." Richie's mom then noticed Ash and his Pikachu and his own Fenfire. "In right here is a fine example of a great training. Pikachu here looks like the peak of health. It's cheeks are the perfect shape and the perfect shade of red. And I can tell that his trainer takes great care of them. Would that be you, son?" Richie's mom asked.
"Yes ma'am. Pikachu is my partner. I'm Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town in the Kanto Region."
"The Kanto Region, huh? It's been a while since I've been to the Kanto Region. You see, I too am from the Kanto Region. I grew up in Viridian City and did some traveling myself with my partner Bulbasaur. After coming here to the Soko region I met Richie's father, Victor. Since then Bulbasaur has evolved into its final evolution of Venusaur and helps out with Victor with his berry harvesting for his berry business."
"Yeah, and I told mom when I catch a Bulbasaur and train hard with it to get it to evolve all the way to Venusaur that the two of us will have a battle to see who's Venusaur is stronger." Richie ran up to his mother with excitement.
"To do that you have to go out and catch one first and train hard with it if you want to beat your mother's Venusaur. That's what she did and she's beaten me several times with that one Pokémon."
Everyone turned to see a man that those who didn't know who he was guessed that he was Bricheas father. Standing next to him was a Ponyta pulling a cart full of different berries, Pokéblock, Poffins and Macarons. A Mightyena was standing on the other side of him. You could tell by the way Richie stiffened his body that there was a great respect that Richie had towards his father. It wasn't fear like one would think it was just plain high respect.
"Don't worry dad. I'll train hard with all the Pokémon I catch it will come back home as a strong team like you and mom have with your Pokémon. I'll make you both proud to have me as your son."
Victor walked up to his son with Mightyena and Ponyta right by his side. He knelt down in front of Richie and Richie looked as if he was getting ready for a scolding. Suddenly, Victor wrapped his arms around Richie, embracing him in a tight hug. Something Richie hadn't had happened in a long time.
"You're such a naïve boy. I'm already proud of you and having you as a son is one of the best things I could ever ask for. Whatever happens rather you win the Soko League or not your mother and I will always be proud of you."
His father's words touched his heart greatly. This father had never open up the way he is now. It was because his only child was finally going off on his own to start his Pokémon journey thank you did when he was younger I was it guilt that Victor was feeling about not being a nicer father towards his son?
Richie gripped tightly onto his father shirt, hiding his face and his father shoulder trying not to show any tears in front of this hard-core man that has always been as strong as steel.
"Thanks dad. I know both you and mom really care and have always been there for me and I know I'm not the perfect son, but I'm glad to have parents like you and mom."
As Victor let go of Richie, Richie could have sworn that he saw tears in his father's eyes. Not wanting to bring any attention to it that you just left it alone.
"Alright, Andy, Zoë. I have a job for the both of you. I need to view to watch over Richie, keep him out of trouble. Can I trust the two of you to do that for me?" Victor looked over to Andy and Zoë and asked them in a strong stern tone.
"Yes, sir!!" Both Andy and Zoë strongly responded.
Victor then looked to Ash and Gary, two people that he barely noticed. "Are these two new friends of yours, Richie?"
"Yeah. This is Ash Ketchum and Gary Oak. They're both from the Kanto Region like mom."
"The Kanto Region? That it was nice to see young faces from your home region, huh Savannah?" Victor turned to his wife who was still looking through her son's Fenfire's fur coat.
"Yes, it just brought back some great memories of when I first started my Pokémon journey." Savannah said with a smile as she patted Fenfire on the head.
The day was quickly slipping away, and Ash and friends had yet to leave Magnolia Town. Having a long journey, a head of them Richie decided it was time to say good-bye to his parents and to Magnolia Town.
"Mom, dad. I know there's still a lot I would like to talk to you about before heading off on my journey with my friends, but it's time for us to go. It will be getting dark soon and we have a long journey ahead of us."
"We understand. All of you have a goal on your journey around the Soko Region and we can't keep you from that. Just be careful, all of you." Savannah gave Richie one last hug before letting Richie go.
Richie looked down at Mightyena and wrapped his arms around Mightyena's neck. Holding on tightly. "I'm going to miss you Mightyena. You've watched over me since as long as I can remember. Almost like you're my partner."
Victor saw how much his son was going to miss his old friend Mightyena. The two have been close sins Richie was a baby. It was time to let Mightyena go.
"Mightyena!" Victor suddenly boomed. Mightyena rushed to his trainers side. Victor then knelt down and started to take off Mightyena's berry picking bandanna that he would wear into town. "Go with him, my old friend. Keep him out of trouble and watch over him like you've ways have."
There was a slight expression of shock on Mightyena's face, but he saw that his long time friend was being serious. Victor handed Mightyena his Pokéball then he rushed over the Richie's side, handing him his Pokéball.
"What's this?" Richie looked to his father.
"Take him with you. He'll be my eyes and ears for the time being and he'll keep you out of trouble if you decided to not listen to Andy and Zoë. Just, keep each other safe."
"Don't worry dad, we will and thank you for everything." Richie called back Mightyena into his Pokéball and connected it to his belt.
After saying good-bye to Richie's parents everyone finally made it to the edge of Magnolia Forest that would lead them to Castlerock City. Everyone was excited to finally have gotten started on their journey around the Soko Region. Although their start was delayed several times and the day was quickly turning into night no one had a problem of staying the night outside under the stars. It was something that was expected to happen if a Pokémon Center wasn't near by. After walking for a good while and the sun was coming close to setting it was the best time to find a spot to make camp.
"I'm really sorry everyone for making us get an even later lat stat then we already had. We should reach Castalrock City in no time tomorrow." Richie apologized as everyone started to make camp for the night.
"It's alright Richie. This wouldn't be mine and Ash's first time sleeping outside like this. Right Ash?" Gary told Richie as he placed his bad down on the ground to start getting his tent out, then turned to Ash.
"That's right! Besides, sleeping under the star can be even better then sleeping in the Pokémon Center." Ash said as he helped set up camp.
While everyone was getting ready to spend the night under the starry sky Pikachu, Fenfire and Squirtal were all playing together nearby. Ash saw this as a good time for the rest of the Pokémon to get to know each other too.
"Hey, why don't we let the other Pokémon out too? It will give them the chance to know each other better since we're traveling together."
"Good idea Ash," Zoë took out Leporo's Pokéball and threw it up into the air. "come on out and play with the other Pokémon!" When Leporo came out to be with the other Pokémon those who didn't really know her when to greet her. Pikachu and Squirtle went to greet Leporo, but she seemed to want nothing to do with any of the other Pokémon.
"Looks like Leporo is a bit too proud, isn't she?" Zoë patted Leporo on the head like she was telling her to be friendlier towards the other Pokémon.
Andy and Gary then followed suit and letting out their Pokémon Naiad and Squirle quickly became fast friends. Gary had let out his Pokémon team. Blastoise, Umbreon and Electivire. Then Gary remembered the Pokéball that Professor Aspen had given him. The Pokèball wasn't like the normal red and white Pokéball but was a light blue where the red should be and was white like the regular Pokéball. Ash saw the strange Pokéball and made his way over to Gary.
"Where did you get that Gary?" Ash asked as he looked carefully at the strange Pokéball.
"It's a Pokémon that the Professor gave me to barrow, but I've never seen a Pokéball like this before."
"That's because it's a new type of Pokéball that has just been developed here in the Soko Region," Andy explained when he saw the Pokéball in Gary's hand. "It's called a Light ball and it's supposed to make it easier to catch Light-type Pokémon."
"Come on Gary! Let's see what Pokémon the professor gave you!" Ash slapped Gary on the back almost making him drop the light ball.
"Alright, hold in Ash." Gary through the light ball up into the air to let out the mysterious Pokémon that dwelled inside. A white energy flashed out of the light ball and landed in front of Gary and everyone else. When the white energy took the shape of the Pokémon that dwelled inside the light ball.
Standing in front of them was a small ferret-like Pokémon. It's furry was white except for the tips of the ears, paws and tail, which was black. Purple gems were on it's front paws in the light blue gem on its forehead and another light blue gem that dangled from it's right ear like an earring. The new Pokémon also wore what you look like a thick gray color collar with blue and purple gemstones.
"Oh wow, it's a Roisel!" Andy said in amazement. "Roisel are really rare. I've heard that those with money prefer to have a Roisel for a pet over any other Pokémon in the Soko Region."
"A Roisel, huh?" Ash held up his Pokédex to know more about the new Pokémon.
"Roisel: The glowing frost ferret Pokémon,
Small and beautiful, Roisel lives in snowy areas and makes small tunnels under the snow. Their fur is very silky and good at keeping them warm, even in intense blizzards. They will happily curl up around the neck of their trainer and act as a scarf."
Roisel arched it's back, stretched and let out a light yawn before looking up at all the trainers that stood around him. Gary knelt down in front of Roisel and held out his hand to greet the new member of his team with a smile.
"Hello Roisel. Professor Aspen let me borrow you to help out on her research. I hope that the two of us can get along and I hope that you will get along with my other Pokémon as well. Blastoise, Umbreon, Electivire, come over here please." Gary's three Pokémon made their way over to their trainer to see the new member of their team. "Everyone, this is Roisel, a new member of our little team. I want you all to try to get along with each other, alright?"
Gary's three Pokémon nodded in agreement to their trainer. Each one greeted Roisel to their little team and with that Roisel just had to acknowledge Gary as her new trainer, due to the fact that Roisels are said to be very proud Pokémon. Roisel softly sniffed Gary's hand and then lightly lick the tips of his fingers.
"Looks like we're going to get along just fine," Gary said with a smile. "While we all set up camp I want you to go and play with the other Pokémon. Alright?"
Roisel nodded and then turned to run off to join the other Pokémon. At and everyone else went back to setting up camp for the night. Not knowing that their Pokémon where is being watched by unfriendly eyes. From the shadows team rocket was closely watching all the Pokémon who belong to our heroes.
"Look at all those Pokémon, just ready for the picking." James' voice was sinister.
"Let's make our move and get the twerp's Pokémon to give to the boss." Meowth took out a rocket power bazooka hand and aimed it at the Pokémon.
Be sure to get all the Pokémon Meowth, especially the ferret looking Pokémon. What did the twerp say it was called? A Roisel?" Jessie sternly instructed Meowth.
Don't worry Jess. There's no way that my new and approved Meowth Poké snatching rocket powered arm. 3...2...1...fire!" Meowth pulled the trigger to his rocket power arm. It went rushing out of the bushes and then burst into Annette heading towards the Pokémon.
Just as the net was about to catch all the Pokémon, Roisel was able to quickly dodge it before it had a chance to grab her. The commotion grab the attention of Ash and the gang. When they saw what was happening to their Pokémon they quickly rushed over to rescue their friends.
"Pikachu! Fenfire!" I half yelled as he ran up to the net and try to get the Pokémon out from underneath the mat when it suddenly shocked Ash and the Pokémon.
"Ash, are you alright?" Zoë asked in concern.
"Yeah, but who's responsible for doing this?"
Jessie: "Prepare for trouble, what a silly thing to say!"
James: "And make it double, don't think about getting in our way!"
Jessie: "To protect the world from devastation!"
James: "To unite all people within our nation!"
Jessie: "To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
James: "To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jessie!"
"James!"
Jessie: "Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!"
James: "surrender now are prepare to fight!"
"Meowth! That's right!"
"Wobbuffet!"
"Team Rocket? I should have known that you three were behind this! Give us back our Pokémon!"
"That is obviously something we will not do you foolish twerp. Your Pokémon will make a perfect gift for the Boss for Team Rocket's Pokémon army to take over the world!" Meowth boasted in confidence.
"Ash, who are these people?" Richie asked with anger building up inside him of having Fenfire and Mightyena taken from him.
"They're Team Rocket. A group of no good criminals who go around and still other people's Pokémon. They've been following me around since the very beginning of my journey to try a steal Pikachu from me."
"That's right and this time we got him, along with all of your Pokémon. Now, where's little Roisel? That rare Light-type Pokémon." Jessie looked at the net that held all the Pokémon and that's when they finally noticed that Meowth's Poké snatching rocket arm didn't get Roisel.
Roisel rushed over to Gary, crawled up his pant leg and made herself comfortable on his shoulder.
"Looks like Roisel was too smart for you Team Rocket. Now, release the Pokémon and no one will get hurt!" Gary ordered Team Rocket to release his and everyone else's Pokémon.
Jessie suddenly punched Meowth in the back of the head. Angry that Meowth didn't do what he was supposed to do. "Meowth you idiot! You were supposed to catch all the Pokémon! Why would you neglect to catch the one Pokémon that's so rare!"
"I'm sorry Jessie, but don't you worry. I'll get that Roisel this time." Meowth reloaded another rocket arm and aimed it at Gary's Roisel.
As the rocket arm was launched towards Roisel, Gary rushed to protect Roisel from Team Rocket. Putting himself in between Roisel and Team Rocket. Roisel saw Gary's bravery to protect her and made the choice to do the same. She jumped on Gary's shoulder and a blinding flash of white light illuminated from her body. Everyone covered their eyes, trying to see through the blinding white light. When the light finally dissipated everyone was able to finally see again. Team Rocket looked down at their net to see that the Pokémon had somehow escaped and the second rocket powered arm was now in pieces.
"Hey! How did that happen?!" James shouted in shock.
Ash and friends were equally surprised. None of them had released their Pokémon from Team Rocket's trap. All the Pokémon rushed back to their trainer. Fenfire and Mightyena ran to Richie, Naiad and Squirtal made their way to Andy, Leporo to Zoë, Pikachu and Fenfire to Ash and Blastoies, Umbreon and Electiver to Gary. With the Pokémon all back with their trainers there was still one Pokémon that was standing alone. It was an Umbreon, but this Umbreon wasn't like Gary's. While Gary's Umbreon was black and neon yellow this Umbreon was black and neon blue.
"Good job Umbreon. With Roisel's special ability you were able to release all the other Pokémon. Well done." Umbreon's trainer suddenly walked up next to the stray Pokémon. Umbreon's trainer was a young female about Ash and Gary's age. She had long black heir, electric blue eyes. She was wearing a black blouse with red tie strings at the top, a think black hooded sweatshirt and dark blue jean shorts. Around her waist she had a black belt that held six Pokéballs. Four regular Pokéballs, one Ultraball and one Greatball.
Team Rocket became angry with the intrusion of a stranger getting in their way of stealing the Pokémon.
"Hey you! Who do you think you are?! Those Pokémon were ours for the taking!" Jessie snapped at the stranger.
"That's right! You cast us are big pay day with our boss!" James then snapped.
"Looks like we'll just take that Umbreon of your. Blue ringed Umbreons are just as valuable as the regular yellow ringed ones!" Meowth once against aimed his rocket power arm at the stranger and her blue ringed Umbreon. With the hand bursting into a net and coming towards her and her Umbreon one of the girls Pokéballs suddenly opened, releasing an Absol.
"Absol, use Razor Wind!" Absol's trainer commanded. The scythe on Absol's head started to glowe white. When Absol gathered up enough energy in the scythe on its head, Absol swung its head, sending out a white crescent blade of energy at the net that was coming towards its trainer.
Absol's Razor Wind had cut right through Team Rocket's net. Team Rocket was notably string nervous. This new face seemed to have some kind of strong aura about her. She was obviously not a normal trainer. Meowth was out of rocket arms and now they were up against thirteen Pokémon against Jessie's two.
"This doesn't look good guys. I think we're way above our heads this time." James whispered nervously to his team.
"That's right! Now it's time for you guys to do what you do best, and that's blasting off. Pikachu, Thunderbolt! Fenfire, Flamethrowing! Ash ordered Pikachu and Fenfire.
"Fenfire, use Flamethrowing! Mightyena, Dark Pulse!"
"Leporo, Razor Leaf!"
"Squirtal, Naias, Water Gun!"
"Blastoise, Hydro Cannon, Umbreon, Shadow Ball, Electivre, Thunder and Roisel, Ice Beam!"
"Umbreon, Hyper Beam! Absol, Dark Pulse!"
All the attacks went rushing towards Team Rocket. When the attacks collided with each other it caused an explosion sending Team Rock flying off into the distance.
"Well that went swimmingly as always." James said i'm surprised.
"Wobbuffet would've came in handy in the end." Jessie sadly remembered.
"Then why didn't you use him you dope?!" Meowth scolded.
"Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!!!!"
