Origin: In "Best Day Ever" the Thief and the Butcher was the name of a book Emerald requested at Tuckson's book trade. It works as a ship name since Emerald is a thief while Mercury is an assassin almost like a butcher of human lives. Yikes that got dark.
Opinion: I love this ship to pieces like Gelato this is a villain ship so it's already a big yes for me. Also much like Roman and Neo you never see Emerald without Mercury and vice versa. They fight so well together too, taking on Coco and Yatsuhashi like it was nothing. It also cracked me up when Mercury was pretending to be upset when his leg "broke" asking Emerald "Doc tell me will I ever walk again?" And she just slugged his arm. XD. I also think that if they do get a redemption then they'll have to get it together. Overall this ship is very cute.
