Origin: This ship doesn't have a name yet (that I'm aware of)

Opinion: So before I begin there's going to be some minor spoilers to the volume 5 finale toward the end so I'll put up a sign before I spoil anything for those that don't want spoilers. So one thing I wasn't aware of until recently is how popular this ship is. Like I was surprised with the amount of fanart I found. But regardless I'm not a big fan of this ship and no not just because it's a crack ship. I just can't see them together. This ship is like a worse version of White Rose. And no I'm not saying I hate White Rose. I'm saying that this ship is like if you were to ship Ruby with volume 1 Weiss, you know before she became nice. Whitley is everything Weiss once was. He's rude, cocky, selfish, and only cares for himself. So I can't imagine him with someone like Ruby who's nice and caring to others. Also Whitley is one of the reasons Weiss had a terrible life before she came to Beacon so I don't think Ruby would want to be with someone that caused her partner and friend so unhappiness.
Ok so here's where the SPOILERS come in stop here if you don't want to be spoiled.

All good? Ok so even though I don't like this ship I can see it having some moments in the future. Ozpin said that their next stop is Atlas and who do we know that's there? Whitley Schnee himself. I can imagine him meeting up with Ruby and the others if they ever have to go to Weiss's house. Who knows maybe Whitley will start crushing on Ruby.
