So I don't know if the picture above is official from the show or an edit of a screen shot but I wanted to use it because it's cute.

Requested by: Me since I've seen a lot of people vote on the chapter where I rated this ship the first time and I've come to realize I need to update that opinion.

Opinion: "osCAr AnD RUby HAVe ONlY hAD a miNUte oF SCreEn tImE TOgeThEr" -Jenni, October 24th 2017. Ok yeah I'll admit this opinion has needed to be updated for some time now. Considering I wrote my initial thoughts on this ship the week after the first chapter of VOLUME 5 came out and it's been two years since then.

Anger at myself aside *inhales* I LOVE THIS SHIP! It's so pure and wholesome and sweet and just ahhhhhhh I love it I love it I love it! I know this ship isn't super in your face but I think that's what I like about it the most. What I mean is that it's a ship with the two youngest characters in the show so obviously it's gonna be shown a bit differently than a ship like say Renora for example which is shown as a much more mature type of love because Ren and Nora are older then Oscar and Ruby. This ship is super subtle because the characters are still young and as such are still trying to figure out their feelings. So why do I like it so much? Well first of all like I mentioned previously it's subtle so it's not in your face all the time so you don't feel like it's being shoved down your throat. I don't care how cute a ship is, if it's being shoved in my face in every chance it gets I'm not gonna like it that much. Despite how subtle this ship is though there are hints of these two liking each other. This is another reason why I like it because it's a lot easier to like a ship when there's evidence to back it up that it could become canon. When Ruby and Oscar first met whenever they would talk to each other or Ruby would smile at him he would immediately blush. And when they were sparring he was horrified that he may have hurt her when he accidentally punched her in the face. It's also obvious how much these two care about each other, I mean think about it Ruby was the first person Oscar opened up to when he expressed his worries about permanently becoming one with Ozpin and thus losing himself. Ruby was quick to comfort him though and assure him that no matter what he was his own person. Since then she has been the first person he goes to when he's worried about something, such as when they decided to not tell Ironwood about Salem not being able to be killed or about Jinn. I know that since Oscar is now taking his duties as the next Ozpin more seriously he's not with the group as much as he was in the previous two volumes but you can bet that when he does have a moment with Ruby I'm smiling from ear to ear. So yeah this ship is so cute and I love it so much, these dorks belong together. Let's just hope Ozpin gets out of Oscar's mind soon though.
