Ok so it's come to my attention that I need to redo this ship opinion. So here I am to do just that.

Opinion: Much like many of the other ships that I've done a rewritten chapter on, my opinion of this ship from back in 2017 has not changed. I loved it then and I love it now. As ElenaDoubleCat said "this ship is the Mr. Rodger's of RWBY ships. It's wholesome and sweet and it just wants everyone to get along." Seriously I know very few people who dislike this ship. Ren and Nora have been together since they were little kids and they've grown up as companions and family. Somewhere along the line though the two of them developed less of a platonic bond and began to form more of a romantic one. I mean how much sweeter can you get then that. Honestly, there isn't really much of an opinion that I can give because honestly this ship is a lot like Arkos, it looked canon from the start, everyone loved it and wanted them together, and, thankfully, there were no ships that seemed to come against this one. Basically what I mean is, my opinion isn't different from pretty much everyone else's about this ship.

But I will say though one thing I don't like about this ship is how much it has been baited throughout the show. And yes I am aware that I just said "this ship looked canon from the start" but let me explain. In volumes 1-3 Nora and Ren had several sweet moments together as team partners and best friends, which basically started the love for this ship. But after that, meaning volumes 4-present it almost seems as if this ship is getting teased simply to hype up the fans. I mean think about it, how many of you thought that by the end of volume 4 this ship was camon? I know I did. But there was no indication that there was anything different to their relationship. No hand holding, no hugging, no nothing. Any of that, even a little bit would've been cute. And the biggest offender of this is volume 7. Ren and Nora basically fought the entire volume, which made no sense to me. I mean Ren basically shut Nora down anytime she tried to compliment him. And yeah I get that that's just his personality, he doesn't show his feelings during times where he feels he needs to be serious, for example during a huntsmen mission. However, it's been shown that Nora knows that about Ren and she respects it, so why would she suddenly act as if him doing that is weird? And yes I loved the kiss when it happened. But again nothing, aside from one handhold, came out of it. I just think that's annoying that's all.

So to sum up, like many people this ship is so cute and awesome. But if it's meant to be canon (for real this time) I wish that it would be more obvious.
