I'm kinda ashamed at how vague I was with this ship opinion the first time.

Origin: Neo is short for Neopolitan which is close to the ice cream flavor Neapolitan. If you are a roman then you live in Rome, Italy. Gelato is Italian ice cream.

Opinion: Like with Ladybug my opinion for this ship has not changed. It was my OTP then, it is my OTP now, and it will probably be my OTP for the rest of me watching this show. I love it so much. When I first started watching the show I shipped Roman more with Cinder and even when Neo showed up I didn't ship her and Roman all that much. But oh did my tune change watching volume 2 again and RWBY Chibi. Roman and Neo are never without each other and they have such a good relationship as partners. Roman may be a villain but let's be real he's not a very strong one, he's able to get his butt kicked pretty easily, but I love the small gimmick the show had of Neo coming in to save him. I thought it was so cute when she just jumped in with her parasol to block Yang's gunfire from her gauntlets. Neo is also obviously the stronger of the pair being able to take on Yang seemingly without much effort. I also absolutely love the fight they had against Ruby aboard the airship and it makes me wonder if Roman had feelings for Neo or not since he actually looked upset when Neo was blown off the airship even going as far as to reach for her and call out her name. I do actually hope that if Neo comes back then she knows about Roman's death and tries to avenge him because that sounds really sweet to me for some reason. What really makes me ship it though is the moments these two have in Chibi. Chibi Roman is far from the villain he is in RWBY proper, he's more silly and his plans are more insane. Neo is just constantly annoyed with his plans that never work but she's still always there to support him. I also love the little subtle flirting Chibi Neo does but Roman never notices, for example Neo saying "he's a dumb dumb. But he's my dumb dumb." She's also always there to cheer Roman up when his plans fail. Yes I know Roman is dead so this ship will never happen but I still love it so much.
