Origin: Before the end of volume four whenever Yang rode her motorcycle Bumblebee she would wear a helmet and a pair of goggles. Neptune, as we know, wears swim goggles. However since volume four Yang discarded her goggles for sunglasses so this ship name doesn't really work anymore. So instead I prefer to call this ship hot springs. Yang is a fire powered firecracker as we know and Neptune is the name of the Roman god of the sea. A hot spring is....hot water...it's pretty self explanatory XD.

Opinion: So this is ship is....meh....for me romantically. This ship is really popular though oddly enough. I headcanon both of them as bisexual but I see Neptune as leaning more toward girls and Yang leaning more girls as well. So that's another reason I don't really ship it romantically. I mean I guess it's cute but I don't know. Platonically though I really ship it. Sun and Neptune have a really good relationship with all the team RWBY girls so I ship all the team RWBY and Sun and Neptune ships platonically (except BlackSun I love that ship romantically so much!). So yeah I think that the Yang x Neptune ship is cute platonically but I can't see them as a couple. But if you ship it romantically I respect your opinion.
