Before I begin I just want to say that this is the last time I am rating this ship. Unless something crazy happens to make me change my mind then this is it.

First I'm putting a trigger warning for everyone who may get angry for what I'm gonna say. This is gonna be less an opinion and more a rant. The TLDR for these people is that strangely I find myself shipping this, but I'm disgusted of what it has become.

*inhales* alright here we go. I honestly had no plans to do a third rating of this ship. But I got so many comments asking for it. So this is for you all.

Alright first of all this ship is clearly mutual on both sides. I used to think that it was just one sided on Yang's part but now I see that Blake also has feelings for her. So here are some hints.

1. Volume 2: Yang asks Blake for a dance at the ball. And Blake's the first one of her teammates that Yang opens up her feelings about her mother to.

2. Volume 3: Yang is sad that Blake doesn't trust her. Blake tells her that she's worried that she'll turn out like Adam, someone that we know she definitely was in love with at one point. So this kind of hints that she has feelings for Yang.

3. Volume 4 and 7: Yang's time skip outfit has a purple ribbon on the knee for Blake. Blake has a yellow band around her fixed up gambol shroud for Yang.

4. Volume 4: Yang can't even look at a stack of books without thinking of Blake.

5. Volume 4: Blake struggles to talk about how she left her team but her voice breaks when talking about Yang.

6. Volume 5: Blake walks into Haven and what's the first thing she says "Yang."

7. Volume 6: umm see episodes 11 and 12

The list goes on and on and on.

Anyway with all these scenes sure I see the potential for them to be a couple. But that doesn't change the fact that this ship is so bad. And I mean that it is literally bad.

The main issues that I have with this ship are everything that happened in volume 6. I thought we were gonna get Blake and Yang working through the problems they had and then have them slowly repair their friendship. But instead we get maybe two conversations, none of which involve Blake talking about why she left or Yang talking about how Blake leaving made her feel by the way, and then they practically are girlfriends by the end of the volume?! What?! How?! I did the calculations and volume 6 happens for the heroes over the course of FOUR DAYS! I'm sorry but that is not enough time to repair a friendship that was broken as bad as theirs was. Uh uh no way.

The next thing I have a problem with when it comes to this ship is everything that happened in volume 6 chapter 11. If you have read any of my stories then you know that I am a big Adam fan and no before you say anything I'm not upset that he died. In fact I wrote a one shot that takes place during this episode that was my own take on Adam's death scene, and (spoiler alert) he still dies at the end but how he does is very different. No I'm mad how he died, Adam was completely nerfed, his character was turned into something it wasn't and for what?! This freaking ship that's what! And before you say "how was his fighting nerfed?" Allow me to answer that question with another question and then an answer. Do you know what Adam and Yang's semblances do? They absorb energy and send it back when they're ready. And we have seen that when they do release that energy it has dangerous effects, Yang destroyed an entire mech, Adam destroyed a spider bot in the black trailer and as we know he used his semblance to amputate Yang's arm. So you're telling me that a super charge attack from him can only cause a few scratches to appear on Yang's robot arm?! What?! No! Also apparently even though Blake and Yang were weakened they were able to outrun Adam and kill him. Because that makes sense. These two are supposed to be the heroes, heroes don't kill someone who is very obviously weak, think about it Adam had no aura and no weapon, so no defense and no offense. You know a real hero would just tell him it's over and tell him to stand down. But whatever they're the heroes so everything they do is for the greater good, even murder. Oh and then after this scene Blake and Yang embrace and Blake sheds maybe two tears about killing someone she loved? Yeah ok whatever you guys are basically a couple we get it. And you killed someone to get there. Good job ladies.

And the final reason I don't like the ship is simply two words: fandom response. Ever since volume 6 ended I have seen post after post after post of people talking about this ship and how happy they are. Which is totally fine ship whatever the heck you want. But what isn't fine is how people are going out of their way to shut down anyone who speaks out against the ship. That's not right you guys. And at the forefront of these Bee-vengers as I am hearing that they are called are Blake and Yang's voice actresses themselves. Now I'm a firm believer in "the voice actors are not their characters" but it is getting really hard to do that with Arryn and Barbara. The two of them talk about this ship every chance they get and it's really annoying. For example during RTX Arryn said that what she's looking forward to the most in volume 7 is whether or not Blake and Yang will kiss. And in the official companion books she even talks about how she hopes that bumblebee is endgame. We also all know how Barbara told a fan to stop watching the show just because he made an edit that was meant to be humorous. In her words "don't like it. Don't watch it."

Ok that about wraps up how I feel about the ship. So yeah I think it's a bad ship. But what I hate is that I'm finding myself shipping it, and I hate that I am. I know that I shouldn't be just based on all that has happened recently but yet I still find myself smiling whenever I see these two together. Which is just wrong. I don't want to ship it but I do. But those are just my thoughts let me know yours.
