We are aiming to host competitions in order to help readers really engage with our vision for this project. Competitions will generally be in one of two formats:

- A weekly contest, where we choose one topic a week to base entries on. These will run for several weeks at some point each year, generally in the summer

- An annual contest based on an issue at a time.

Competitions will be writing themed, for example 'write a poem based on equality', however, we may also look into branching out with other forms of entries due to Wattpad's affinity with multimedia. The annual competition will obviously have a larger word count and will ask readers to be a lot more creative, for example 'design a campaign to help eradicate homophobia'.

Competitions will be announced in the specific topic book{s} of that week. Annual competitions will be announced on our message board. You may enter by emailing {address on our bio} us your entry before the deadline specified and with the following details:

- Your Wattpad username
- Actual name {optional}
- Which topic your entry is specific to.
- Any additional details/notes you'd wish to include.

Entries will be judged by us and whittled down to five. These will then be published and the one who has the most votes by the next week will have won. In the event of a tie, we will choose our favourite.

Winners of each competition will be crowned the official 'Awesomesauce' person for that week/annual cycle and will recieve an 'Awesomesauce' badge. They will be invited as a guest writer to talk in a bit more detail about their entry. Winners of the annual competitions may also be invited to help host Q&A's on our message board about that specific topic. All the entrants that get published will be given shoutouts. Larger projects may also be shared to other social media.
