Night 1

Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. A place for kids and grownups alike, where fantasy and fun come to life...what a lie that was. Freddy Fazbear's was NEVER remembered for all the happiness it brought. If some ever remembered the good things about it? They would always say afterwards:

'It's horrible what happened after. 5 children disappeared one day...and then many more after that.'

After those five children went away? Every Freddy's location seemed to be cursed to share the same fate. No matter where or how, at least ONE child would go missing somewhere in a Freddy's location.

And then? People started to report the animatronics for smelling like blood and mucus. And eventually? The place was shut down. For good.

Freddy's became a ghost story. Everyone was scared of it because there was actual evidence that it happened. Some even said the robots were haunted by the souls of the missing children.

And then? A few people decided to...bring back Freddy's. But not as the happy and fun restaurant. More as a haunted house inside of a fair.

Fazbear's Fright.

Although like almost anything to do with Freddy's? It didn't last very long. There was a fire that burned everything to the ground, and the few items saved were sold at auction.

So? A few of Freddy's rivals decided to make a bit of a grand return.

Candy's Burgers and Fries opened its doors again, with new animatronics and even remade versions of old ones.

Doug and Rachel's now had newly advanced machines unlike any other, to the point where it almost seemed like humans weren't needed.

But then? There was a new generation. Popgoes Pizzeria. The only restaurant of these three to be entirely run by animatronics. Not a single human worker.

Who had this brilliant idea? Fritz Glade.

"Hello everyone! Hope you missed the show! It's Alan Johnson as always, but with a bit of a special guest! So a year ago, a haunted house called Fazbear's Fright randomly burned down before it even opened. Police say it was due to faulty wiring, but others have different beliefs. After all! Nearly everyone in America knows the ghost story of Freddy Fazbear's." Alan then smiled. "But anyway! It's time for something a little interesting! Please welcome, the creator of Popgoes Pizzeria, Fritz Glade!"

The audience clapped as a man walked through. He was wearing a black bandana over his head, he had a growing beard, and was wearing a brown suit.

"Great to have you here!" Alan said as Fritz sat down. "Now, normally, we don't really do these types of interviews. But with your restaurant, it seems to have a special exception. I want you to let me know if some things are too personal, alright?"

Fritz chuckled and nodded. "I'm an open book. Thanks for having me by the way." He said, with a nice British accent.

"So, correct me if I'm wrong, but your restaurant has NO human workers?"

"That is correct. Popgoes and the gang do everything." Fritz said with a nod. "They cook, they clean, they run the technology. I'm only there in case they break or something happens that they can't fix."

"Aren't you the least bit worried that something might go wrong? Like the Terminator movies or something?"

"Pffft, not exactly. They're completely harmless, even if they did break down. No razor sharp claws, their teeth are made of foam so they can't bite anyone, and not to mention, they are always on the lookout for anyone going missing. They actually count the amount of people who check in, and are always supervising to see if one goes missing." Fritz explained.

"Wow. That's actually...VERY advanced. We only have stuff like that in movies." Alan said, genuinely surprised. "So, the robots cook too?"

"Please don't call them robots." Fritz said with a nervous chuckle. "I...well, I see them as much more than that. The name animatronic doesn't even do them justice. It took me years to build them all and make them the way they are today."

"Ohhhhh. I see." Alan said with a nod.
"And as far as I know, there aren't any accidents or incidents yet?"

"There won't be a yet." Fritz laughed. "Popgoes is the safest place, I've made sure of that myself. With no help, mind you."

"That explains why you look a little tired." Alan said. "Tell ya what, we can get you some coffee afterwards."

"Thanks." Fritz laughed as the audience laughed. "Okay, I had SOME help. From my daughter. Her name's Bonnie. But other than that? If you get trapped inside? It won't be so bad! Maybe a little spooky, but you'll be completely safe."

"Good to know." Alan said. "Anything else you want to share?"

"Just one thing. Popgoes isn't anything like Freddy's. I promise you. And if one kid or adult or ANYBODY goes missing there? I'll shut the whole thing down." Fritz said.

"That's...rather bold. What about all the money you're making?"

"Popgoes has made me enough money for me to last the rest of my life. I'll be fine if it goes away. I'm not repeating the past."

Nighttime. It was seen as peaceful, right? The stars and lights shines bright, and the moon tenderly watched over everything.

Inside the Popgoes Pizzeria, it was just as peaceful. The animatronics all had their eyes open, looking like they were about to preform a show.

But? ONE animatronic at least looked shut off. A long and tall red one, the same size and height as an average adult. It had multiple arms for some odd reason, almost like a spider.

Then? The animatronic moved its back and then it's white eye glowed.

"Huh...? Where...am...?" The robot spoke before seeing that HE was sitting down. "Why can't I move?"

He then used his arms to try and force himself out of the chair, but to no avail. "AGHHH!!! COME ON!!!!!" He screamed as he continued to try and push himself off.

Eventually? He gave up. "Stupid...chair!"

He then took a deep breath. "Okay, okay. Calm down. Just calm down. You just have to figure out where you are, why you can't move, and WHO you are! Easy!"

The robot then started looking around before seeing he was sitting in front of a monitor. Or one of multiple monitors, although he was the only one with a fan.

He saw two sticky notes. Curious, he read them.

"Hello, this may be a little scary for you. But I'm your creator, your dad in a way. Who are you? Your name is Strings, which stands for Sentient Therapy Robot in Night Guard Simulation." Strings read. "Huh. Weird name."

He then looked to the other sticky note. "You can't move because I designed you to watch over this place until six in the morning every night. There's a phone on the table next to you. That will explain everything else."

Strings then narrowed his white eye. "That doesn't explain why I can't move! I have legs! I gotta use them! And how do I know what a leg is!?"

He then grabbed the phone with one of his arms and saw a voicemail. Curious again, he played it.

Then? A British accent spoke over the phone. "Right, that should do it. Hey! Glad to see you're working there. The name's Fritz and welcome to the Popgoes Pizzeria! The next generation of kid's entertainment. As you know, you'll be guarding this place until 6 in the morning. And as your boss, I'm obliged to help you understand your job and the tools you'll be allowed to use during your shift. So, first things first: I've got to be honest, your current setup might not be very...optimal. I didn't have time to prepare a designated room for you in the location, so you'll just have to manage with using one of the Internet Cafe monitors near the stage next to the gang. Don't start complaining just yet, I've set a spot near the window for you. Even bought a fan! Anyway, the phone you have in your hand? It's usually used by kids during the day for games and whatnot, but I've sorted out the security application that only activates during the night, which is when you're here, obviously. Everything you need for your job is ready to use! Go on, press some buttons! You can check all the rooms with set cameras that are connected online and the ventilation too!"

Strings turned around and then screamed a bit when he saw a robot weasel, and two colorful squirrels. "Wait, wait...I know them! Uhhh, Popgoes The Weasel! And the blue and yellowish white one is Sara The Squirrel! Oh, oh! And the purplish red one is Saffron!" He clapped. "I'm a champion!!!"

The phone message continued. "Alright, I know what you're thinking. First night on the job, I'm rambling a bit, it's a lot to take in. And yes, I know there are a bunch of anthropomorphic plastic animals around you watching you work. Trust me when I say I know how that feels. Your imagination might get a tad bit out of control. Stress does that to you. But don't worry! You're completely safe here! I've built this place from the ground up to be one of the most transparent, honest and safest places around. Unlike some...other businesses. So, if you ever start feeling anxious, just look outside the window or some place that might calm you. Ok? Back to the animatronics. Honestly, the name 'animatronics' doesn't do them justice. They're more like multi purpose robots. Top of the line! They can be programmed to do pretty much anything I can think of. They even run this place! No human worker. They cook, they clean, and they entertain the kids. Sometimes it feels like they're actually alive! I designed them to be that way."

Strings was too busy pressing all the colorful buttons on the monitor. "This is fun!!"

"Now! You may be thinking. That's pretty stupid, letting the robots run the place. Well, don't worry. They're harmless, they are physically incapable of causing you or anyone any harm. If they're seen roaming around? That's just so their joints don't lock up. Don't be scared."

Strings then stopped and grew quiet. "W-Why would I be scared? Do I need to be scared!? OH, GOD!!!" He then snapped his head towards the window, feeling panic.

After a while, he grew calm. "Okay...much better."

"Maybe I'm going on for too long...alright. Let's wrap this up. This is a prerecorded message, so whatever questions you have, I can't exactly answer. But I thought of that too! In your phone specially, I've installed a little Q&A function! At the end of this call, you'll be able to ask me one of three questions. Tap on the question you want and it will play the recorded message showing that answer. Nifty, huh? But I wouldn't suggest letting the phone call distract you from your job. You're there for a reason. Alright, that's all I have. Good luck, kid." Fritz FINALLY finished.

Then? Three questions appeared on the phone. Strings let out a small gasp as he looked over them.

What is the ROOM-SHUT DOWN button?

What are the robots capable of doing?

How is this place during the day?

Strings hummed. "I guess it'd be nice to learn more about what I can do, considering I was awake like ten seconds ago."

He pressed the first option and Fritz began speaking. "Ah! Alright! You want to learn more about your job! That's good! Well, you may have noticed that you can reset any electronic or wireless connection in 6 of the pizzeria's rooms. I added this feature so your job won't be harder by having to fix tech problems. So, y'know, you won't have to get up and manually fix it."

"Not like I can get up." Strings said, attempting to roll his eye.

"So, if you see the printers going awry or something, then push that button and wait a few seconds! Bear in mind, technical problems rarely happen here." Fritz said. "That's your first night. Cya kid!"

Strings looked at the time. 4 AM. "Wow! That went by quickly! How much was he talking?"

He then turned around, but screamed at what he saw on the table behind him.

There laid a completely BLACK robot leg of some kind. Not to mention? Popgoes was gone and off the stage.

"H-HOW DID HE MOVE!?!?" Strings shrieked. "D-DID HE CUT OFF SOMEONE'S LEG?!"

He then started rapidly tapping cameras on his phone until he found Popgoes inside the arcade. And he was near some kind of small blue table machine of some kind.

Strings watched in awe. The machine was making something. This must've been one of the 'printers' Fritz talked about.

But instead? The machine didn't make paper. It made a completely black and robotic arm. Popgoes carefully took it into his hands and began walking away.

"ROOM-SHUT DOWN!" Strings cried as he immediately shut off everything in the room. And sure enough, the camera went dark.

Strings looked behind him at the leg, which somehow, turned to dust in front of him.

"What the...?" He asked quietly before he saw Popgoes walk in, completely empty handed.

Strings shrieked and tried to hide in his chair, but he could hardly move.

However, instead of attacking, Popgoes just stood on stage, holding his microphone again, as if nothing happened.

Strings tilted his head, but now he really had a better look.

Popgoes was a completely light brown weasel, wearing a black top hat and with green eyes.

The two squirrels didn't have much about them. They had fake plastic hair, and were both holding guitars...along with some weird painting that made them look like they were wearing shorts.

"I'm just gonna ignore that." Strings said as he turned back around. But before he knew it? The sun slowly came out...and the 6 AM marking showed on his phone.

Then? A cheerful tune played from his phone.

Strings cheered. "WOOHOO! I CAN MOVE-" He then suddenly dropped the phone and his eye stopped glowing, as if he fell asleep.

Then, almost like a puppet, he stood from his chair and walked away into the back room as the pizzeria opened.
